Kittens playing in the bath - the sequel
Wonder what his thoughts were once word was out that Donald Dump became official POUSA. Perhaps made the roght choice and hid under a rock in the Australian desert. Seems better than having to listen amd look at the madness.
Could the gentleman in the baseball cap please move his head a little
very nice
Me, too.
Fletchers! I really wish I made that show, but I was there way too much and burning out with that and a day job. Thank you for the video though!
It looks like Fletchers!
Hang in there for kingdom of love, doesn't kick in until 1:15
I saw them in SF on this tour. Brilliant.
Thanks for uploading Ayed!
Feck, that WAS GRAND!
This was one of the theme songs of my teen years. I recorded it off college radio and nearly wore out the tape.
RIP 🙏 Matthew Seligman
Love this song.
It's a bit tame compared to the original but enjoyable. I was disappointed by Nextdoorland, which doesn't even sound like a Soft Boys' album. Kimberley's solo stuff is worth checking out, for those who haven't. He rebounded nicely after the terrible albums that KATW made in the 90's.
The Circle Jerks cover of this tune is excellent.
Ouvi o disco underwater moonlight no spotify, muito bom!
Just melodic enough to make a fine Circle Jerks cover.
That's my big head right in front of the camera. Great show.
Sadly more relevant than ever in 2020
Energy - fun eh?
The energy is great!
Great song chaps!
wow thanks man - i cant believe im seeing the original line-up - brilliant camerawork - cheers heaps
Goodbye Matthew. I'm a better person for having known you. RIP.
Very sad! This song is awesome in a large part because of the bass line.
RIP Matthew Seligman :(
R.I.P. Matthew Seligman
Thank you for saying that. I somehow missed that he’d died, when, and why. In a way it’s more “personal” when it’s your favorite band, as relatively fleeting as their times together were, and even more so when so few know his music and theirs. Mathew Seligman was obviously a very well-respected and sought after musician by those who knew and his inventively propulsive baselines were a huge part of the later Soft Boys sound. I don’t know of another song that sounds remotely like this one and the atmosphere the lyrics and unique musicianship create is heavy, haunting, and transporting. Every year it seems I come across another of my favorite musicians almost gushing with enthusiasm for the Soft Boys and RH. There’s an unintentionally hilarious interview in Berlin with Stephen Malkmus just as this then forthcoming tour was known. And it’s virtually the only topic about which he shows any enthusiasm. RIP Mathew Seligman, indeed. A fantastic bass player and a human rights lawyer as a second career. I was so grateful to get to see him play with the Soft Boys twice in NYC in 2002.
Do you have a link to that interview?
th-cam.com/video/L0ZCU_RsBDU/w-d-xo.html The mention begins at about ten mins. In fairness to SM, he’s probably tired and the host is so talkative and high-energy most people would come off as understated in comparison. He does have some nice things to say about OutKast and one or two others. But one of the best things about musicians is everyone’s fan of someone. Even a blasé SM.
epic song!!
Com certeza uma das melhores músicas do album Underwalter moonlight!
Robyn I'm sure you have a shitload of money......shut the fuck up and jam!
i was there at this Fells Point club that folded a long time ago God Bless TH-cam
My 28th birthday. Ironically, Bush started the Iraq war on my 30th birthday two years later.

One of my favorite RH and Soft Boys tunes
Thank You for your presence on earth mr Robyn Hitchcock
Happy Birthday to Robyn, March 3rd 2017

i miss the soft boys :-( awesome upload.......cant believe they didnt film any of the reunion shows....
ahh, but I did! I have all of Baltimore and a friend filmed Boston, which I remastered. (this is Ed posting from another account)
The Egypcians
No, it's the Soft Boys. They reunited in 2001-2002, first to celebrate the deluxe reissue of UM ("Underwater Moonlight's 21st birthday party"), then to record and tour in support of the "come back" album "Nextdoorland
Give it to the Soft Boys!
Thanks for posting. Great show last night. Wondering if I was the only one who was annoyed by the loud gal on the right with all her annoying comments and vocalizations while Robyn was playing. Wish she would have STFU. Did you record the Dylan cover?
+Frank B Unfortunately, I did not. I do know an audio recording was made of the show, that should be up at archive.org/search.php?query=robyn%20hitchcock this weekend
