I've watched so many reaction videos for Your Name, and you're among the few who realized the time difference this early on. I think you might possibly be THE fastest to do so as far as I can remember.

Can’t read subtitles? Must suck to be dyslexic, why don’t you stay away from anime if you can’t even read.

For me it hit harder in dub. Mainly because they actually used a deaf girl for her voice. Also when she says I hate myself on the ferris wheel, felt like such a gut punch compared to sub.

I feel like I have a hot take on Ueno. I don’t hate her as much as everyone else does because I see the struggle within her. She wants to be loved, she wants to have friends, but she’s externalized that desire as being a bully and rude. When she sees how Shoya has changed and befriended Shoko, she realizes just how awful she was before, but doesn’t know how to change and is afraid of becoming someone new. And she’s not necessarily a bad person. We see this in the fact that she visits Shoya every day while he’s in the hospital despite his being angry at her and her willingness to learn sign language. Maybe I’m reading too far into it, but that’s my interpretation of her character. If nothing else, I can at least give her credit for showing a willingness to change by the end of the movie.

Fun fact! The director of the movie, Makoto Shinkai, confirmed in an interview that following the events of Your Name, Mitsuha and Taki do indeed get married!

Shoya didnt understand that nishimya was telling him that she kikes her, because he thought she said "Tsuki" which is just Moon in english, instead of "Suki," which is "I like you. Both of them sound nearly close in Japanese, but when Nishimiya said it, it did sound like Tsuki. So it was just Ishida misunderstanding, not him being Dense.

Just to mention, the anime didn't do a very good job with portraying Ueno. In the manga Ueno is still a very problematic character there, but one you can understand and empathise with to some degree. Even though I really like the anime, I enjoyed the additional context and nuance that the manga provided, can definitely recommend a read. P.S. "suki" -> "like" (often used as "i like you") "tsuki" -> "the moon"

I know Bromance is a TDrama, but it's as good as a KDrama!

I feel you can't call yourself human and not have some sort of feelings at the end of this film. If you don't you may not have a soul. I know it brought tears to this jaded sixty year old man's eyes. And still does everytime I watch it.

You should have watched this subbed, much better that way. And people shouldn't tell people they're going to cry, it just puts too much pressure to cry for the reaction.

15:50 basically she became completely deaf in one ear, that's why she removed one of her ear piece Also I hate kawai (white haired girl) more than ueno. Ueno was rude but at least she wasn't two faced pretending to be innocent
