As a 14 year old in 1968, my parents bought me a '68 Hodaka 90. Rode it off road and along the seashore in Mendocino California. Probably my favorite summer as a kid.
I had one of these 71 model . Fun bike dependable faster than a 73 Combat wombat 125 I could ride wheelies forever.on it had a webco high compression head. Loud until I put a silencer on it didn't leave that on for long . to the dismay of my neighbors.

I remember,as a teenager, seeing dozens of these bikes being ridden all over the California central valley. That was in the mid/late 1970's. I remember that they were pretty cheap to purchase...new or used.

is it for sale?
As a guy who had a Bonanza mini bike with the Hodaka 100cc engine in 1970 and just a few years later was racing motocross on a YZ-125, I've been around more than a few super rats and that one sounds more like a regular Hodaka 100...just my 2 cents.
1970 list price around $495
Lucky you! I have such fond memories of that and the other Hodaka models from the last 1960's/early 1970's! The famous Steen's Hodaka SS race model and Taco mini-bikes were built/sold just a couple of miles from my home. Congratulations and enjoy!
Sounds great and a Norton that can hold a idle ,nice.
I have one that needs restored and is complete. beautiful bike!
NICE LOOKING BIKE!
Yea I had the help of my two fine son's on this video. One filmed, the other edited. As for the sale of the bike, a guy named Kenny Dreer who I later leaned owned the rights to the Norton name at one time, bought the bike for his friend Barry Wiese from the TV show Storage Wars. Thanks Kenny and Barry, I hope you enjoy the bike.
