A Word for You in Light of This Week
In today’s heartfelt message, Pastor Benjamin Winslett addresses the Flint River congregation following a recent act of severe vandalism against our church. Reflecting on how God’s Word has prepared us through recent studies in 1 John, he leads us to consider how to respond to such adversity. Pastor Winslett offers four guiding principles: personal forgiveness, seeking justice through appropriate channels, responding with renewed boldness, and, above all, pursuing the glory of God amid trials. Join us as we explore these responses rooted in faith, resilience, and unwavering hope.

The Crucial Importance of Loving One Another
มุมมอง 234 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
This past week, our church facility suffered from some rather extreme vandalism within our Fellowship Hall, a restroom, and our pastor’s office. While shocking and tragic, it seems that the Lord actually prepared us for this trial through His word. How so? Just three services ago, in his current series through 1 John, Ben Winslett spoke to the dangers of anger and hate, the proper response to p...
If Our Heart Condemn Us (When Assurance Fails)
มุมมอง 6721 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In this message from Flint River Primitive Baptist Church, we return to 1 John 3:19-21, exploring the powerful assurance believers can find when their hearts condemn them. Pastor Ben Winslett unpacks the concept of the assurance of salvation, contrasting our subjective experiences of it with the objective truths of Christ’s work on the cross. When we experience guilt or doubt, John reminds us t...
In Christ, from Timothy
มุมมอง 2421 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Today, we conclude our series on the In Christ statements of the New Testament, examining Paul’s letters to Timothy. Focusing primarily on 2 Timothy, we explore how Paul describes grace, truth, and strength found in Christ. We consider God’s eternal promise of life given in Christ, the call to stand strong in grace, and the importance of Scripture in making us wise unto salvation. Whether new t...

Why are you the way you are? lol I get that a lot... oof
Keep me in prayer for me as I lost passion and love for God and I am trying to return as I seek God and return to my first love for me to burn and love the Lord as much as I want to fill me with fire and passion and zeal love you all brothers and sisters I want to be ready for his return and I want to be intimate with him and I want true genuine desires for him alone Lord let me burn for you to hunger and thirst for you because only you can do it and as other prayer for me let their prayers come before your throne as I turn from my sins and to the Lord I cannot even feel guilt for my sins prayer for God to bring godly sorrow and conviction and for him to have mercy on my soul as I know that I am not deserving of it. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Prayed for you!
Love is the most importsnt thing. God is love.

God bless
Scripture demonstrates grabbing a weapon and driving out the current powers that be. It was even commanded by God to the Hebrew Military a few times. Living a peaceful life, doesn’t mean not using violence to protect the weak or remove the evil and the corrupt from power.
I get what you're saying, but there is no New Testament example or command to such. It might be warranted at times, and God still raises up nations and puts nations down. But the notion that any time a government is corrupt, Christians should take to arms, is not biblical. In such a case, Jesus' reply would be "ye know not what spirit ye are of." Or, "those that live by the sword shall die by the sword." While the Apostles engaged in near constant civil disobedience, it was never violent. Their sword was the word of God.
Yeap
Truth spoken. Big Amen👏🏽
Nice
When the truth finally hits you, it actually makes sense.
Amen
I like to think of it as the perfect expression of love for humanity, like a kind of brideprice.
Christ transcends our transgressions. We (ALL OF US) ….every human who ever lived and will ever live….Have been “saved” …once and for All. He (Jesus Christ) died once for ALL. Must He die again? No , and by His Grace and His Grace only , we were saved from the beginning of time. It’s Jesus plus nothing. There is nothing you or anyone can do to enhance the salvation that only He can give.
Christ died for those that the Father gave Him: John 17:2-“As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.” These are the world of John 3:16. The world of John 3:16 does not embrace the world that cannot receive the Spirit of truth (John 14:17), the world Christ refused to pray for (John 17:9), and the world we are told not to love (1st John 2:15).
@@treystevenson9872 yes , you don’t have to “pray” for anyone. Most don’t even know what “prayer” is to begin with. One thing I do know is…. God does not make mistakes. We are ALL Gods children. Some of us are Sons of God.
@@willcollier7338 Romans 9:8-“That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.”
Will, you said "We are ALL God's children." So how do you explain passages like John 8 or 1 John 3 that speak of people being of their father the devil? Clearly they're not children of God. Furthermore, to be a child of someone, you must be born of them or adopted. That's clearly something that scripture speaks of and it doesn't apply to everyone.
@@Marchtozion when we “eat” from the wrong tree…the tree of good and evil…we all are submitting to the “devil” . “All have sinned” therefore All have summited to the“god” of this world. Now does that mean that we are all doomed ? No….Jesus died for ALL and in turn He saved us ALL. That does not mean we All know it….yet. But we will. Remember…Every knee and Every tongue will confess…
The only problem is the word "believe", it's meaning! When you believe in Jesus, you obey/adhere to His teachings. Jesus himself said in John 3:5 that you need to be born again to enter the kingdom of God(heaven/eternal life/salvation/saved). It is of course by His grace, but if you don't adhere to the Word of God, then you are not saved! There are lots of examples in the Bible about being born again (baptise[full immersion] in water and receive the Holy spirit [with the evidence of speaking in tongues]), in the Act of apostles(chapters 2,10,19etc), Mark 16. Please note evidence of receiving the Holy spirit and gift of the holy spirit is different(1corinthians12).
Good word. 🙏🏻❤
Amem
So, we existed before time?
No. We are God’s elect because of His foreknowledge and election of us before the foundation of the world: 1st Peter 1:2-“Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.”
@taylornovia8911 negative. We were chosen in love by the Father, in Christ, before He created the universe. Good question! God is omniscient, knowing all things. He loved His people with am everlasting love and set their destiny before time began.
The comment section is informative, educational, entertaining, and infuriating all at the same time. I come from a missionary and Southern Baptist background into the primitive Baptist faith. I completely understand the problem people have in getting over a lifetime of incorrect teaching.
Amen. Thank you father God for sending Jesus to die for me and then to be resurrected so that I may have ever lasting life with you. In Jesus name amen 🙏 ✝️❤.
Even the demons believe tho and they tremble so what about that
A real faith is a part of a new nature that includes a real change in an individual. But personal assurance is only through faith. The people whose personal performance convinced them that they were holy were the Pharisees. Assurance is by faith, whose object is Christ.
Scream it from the roof. Say it louder for those in the back!

@@Marchtozionit's the biggest issue in this church age. I saw 😂
I love the phrase, they're a good Christian. Well, what about everyone else? Religion the steamiest pile of shit ever.
There is none good, but God.
@@Marchtozion Yup, Santa Claus for adults. Good luck with that.
@imcorp8828 imagine believing in a watch but not a watchmaker. Or a building existing without an architect. The heavens declare the glory of God.
@@Marchtozion Imagine questioning everything with a rational mind...never mind your mind is already cleaned and pressed.
Please be careful how you preach the word of God, brother. I think your heart is in the right place, but this is incorrect. We must repent from our old sinful ways. 2 Corinthians 13:5 5¶Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you-unless indeed you fnfail the test? 1 John 1:6-7 6If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
@darianperkins1837 God exchanges the heart of stone for a heart of flesh. We are passive in that. Any good works we do are because of a gracious state, and evidence, but not salvific. Our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. If it is of grace, it cannot be of work otherwise grace is no grace (Rm 11).
@@MarchtozionYou’re not responding to the original commenter’s claim that living a sinful life and not repenting but still believing in Jesus will likely not lead you to be saved. Mortal sins can completely cut you off from Christ, and acting like it’s okay to stick with one’s old life but continuing in sinful ways is deceiving. Many Christians today do this, both Protestant, Catholic, or Orthodox.
@Marchtozion I only mean it is dangerous to say to someone that all is required is to believe in Jesus to be saved. This simply isn't true. Scripture tells us that we must turn from our old ways (repent), or our faith isn't genuine.
@@Marchtozion And how does one know if they are “truly saved”? Isn’t that presuming God will put us in Heaven? How can we reconcile if someone is currently saved but then chooses to murder someone completely consensually? Clearly, a man can fall in and out of God’s grace throughout his life but must choose to walk with God in his last days. Thus, avoid both despair and presumption and realize that salvation is a LIFELONG process.
Are any of us so arrogant as to believe we have sufficiently repented of all our sins? You harbor no secret sins? Define repentance? The new birth makes a real, permanent difference in a person's life (see our other content). But my point, which you all are disputing because of your theological bias, remains. John promises life to the believer, not to the ones who check enough boxes. Salvation is by grace, not works.
Read james 2:14-19 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder
@darianperkins1837 yes, I declare my claim to faith to be legitimate when I do good works. And I therefore justify myself before others. But my good works ARE NOT SALVIFIC. Salvation is by grace, not works.
If you Believe LYING Causes Hell and Death to relationships, *WHY DO YOU CONTINUE TO LIE?* *OUR ACTIONS DETERMINE WHERE WE GO AND ALSO REVEAL WHAT WE BELIEVE!*
Not exactly true. A child of God can act wickedly at different times in their life because they still have the old nature but because they were regenerated by the Holy Spirit they will be in heaven and immortal glory.
And repent
True
@ericww32 faith and repentance are fruits of a gracious state, not the cause of salvation. Define repentance. What level? Where is your arbitrary line? Are you arrogant enough to believe you have fully repented of every sin? Lordship salvation is heretical bondage.
@@Marchtozion so argumentative. What exactly do you hear when I say repent? I never claimed anything remotely close to being sinless.
@@Marchtozion Matthew 7 plainly states “21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” What is the WILL of the Father? To repent, or in other words, to turn away from sin. People only claiming to be a Christian will not enter into the kingdom of heaven because they aren’t repenting but living in their sin. A good example is Christians that partake in the LGBT community or Christians that rob others or adulterous Christians. We are also called to tell everyone the good news, so I would consider that work or call to action.
And how dare we diminish baptism?
Jesus also washed the feet of the disciples! He was humble.
I Have A Question....Which Church Did Jesus Went To.....And Belong To Which Denomination.....
Jesus founded His church. There were no denominations yet. However, even during the Apostles' ministries grievous wolves would enter the church, not sparing the flock.
How dare we indeed, who said this about Jesus 😢

Amen a new birth is from above, the kingdom of God. Meaning to get baptized again? I don't have an answer ...
The new birth imparts spiritual life. It's when we are quickened or regenerated, and is an actual resurrection in a spiritual sense. Baptism is our answer in response to this, the answer of a good conscience towards God. The new birth happens like the wind (John 3:8) and God is the only active agent. Baptism is performed by a preacher, at the confession and request of the convert. :-)
God Bless!
