These 1980’s FireX smoke alarms are absolutely painful when they go off. My smoke alarms in my house go off all the time at night but mine are those newer ones that do code three. But in my room I have a line cord one that looks exactly like this one and sounds exactly like this one too. And it is LOUD!!!!!

Fyi, if your car alarm starts going off in the middle of the night, particularly when it is raining, make sure the hood switch is working properly. In my case, it about drove me crazy. I searched TH-cam and finally discovered corrosion on my negative battery cable where the ground attaches to the inner fender. Took off the cable, cleaned off all the corrosion and so far I have not had any false alarms.

FireX FX1020 or 1014. And yes, they are freaking loud…

Those things may be small but they make a very big and loud noise. 100% louder in person than on video which doesn't do justice. I have a Nortron TR88 AC smoke alarm from 1980-81 that sounds just like this. It can be used as a single station alarm or be hooked up to 20 other ones so if one went off so did the others. For its time that was something and can you imagine 20 going off??? One is bad enough. no way to ignore this.

You're seriously low on AC refrigerant. The hiss/wheeze is an expansion valve fed by vapor refrigerant when it should be only seeing liquid refrigerant. Stop using AC while it's so low on refrigerant or you might damage the compressor

4 years ago I got a '96 Tacoma for $400. Those stainless-steel hubcaps were only on Tacomas the first year or so. Now expensive to replace - up to $80 each on Ebay! I lost one, then took the rest off to replace with a $10 salvage-yard set of plastic Corolla hubcaps, because Tacoma hubcaps, and sometimes anything Tacoma, is hard to find in salvage-yards!
