Ew it looks proper chilly . Love your little van brother , you really love your fire lanterns . A dark horse . Have to admit , I am a two pedal fan . Great film . Paraffin is my favourite too and white spirits . . Thanks for the share . Fires really are 1916 . I'm over them . There's a time and a place for them with groups .
@@lifesahobby lol 😂 I love how every comment from you is a poem in its own way, u have a way of looking at things few people understand and a use of language few bother to use these days , tis clear you are a gentleman of detail and it has not gone unnoticed that to you the little things do not go unnoticed so I thank you for the detailed comments and the insight with cameras, means alot
@Bosundanbushcraft November is a time for poems for me , the dark nights , the long hours a still thoughts and the occasional pause which just makes me really notice . It's the shh , we have travelled a great journey of smokey fires and damp posteriors to find moments like these . Looking forward to these frosty camping solos you are planning , I hope to get a two day camp in in December. I might even make you a proper fire if I can . Be the club ❤️🔥🦾
@lifesahobby lol 😂 now I do enjoy a proper fire and long has it been my belief that winter is the season of camping,, that's when the woods are truly alive, when the wind really tells it's tales the season that shows which trees will be their in summer and who will be next year's fire 🔥, the season that's telling for us all , long may we Bushcraft long may the most basic of human existence be thee driver of our lives for what else has meaning
If you like kerosene, you would have been in your element (pardon the pun) at the tractor plant I used to work at. In the paint strip we had a kerosene tank that took about 30 drums to fill it, well over 1000 gallons. We would dip tractor parts in it after they had come out of a hot caustic tank. Regarding the gas, I’m with you on that one. A good friend killed his wife and dog in a gas explosion, blew the back of his boat off and sent him twenty yards down the canal. One reason I never had gas on my boat.
@@cujomojo well it's sad to hear that but that's the problem with gas it pools in low spots when it leaks and just waits for ignition, that's why I prefer the kero if that leaks you just get a puddle , and I would definitely like access to that tank and that's a good point,,, kero has lots of uses people DNT know , it's great for cleaning and makes a good replacement for wd40 and other lubricant in a pinch
If you add a sprinkle of salt in trangais, it helps to see the flame 🔥. Got to love the old school gear ,built to last for sure.God bless you and your family. Lee

Yea man lots of work to do ,, I'm going big on this 1
@Bosundanbushcraft looking forward to it bud
Looks like a great spot, brother. God bless you and your family, and happy camping 🏕 😀 😊 😄 🙏. Lee
It will be bud quite a bit of work in it yet tho
You will be drawn to this place between now and spring . Its a weird feeling to watch someone constructing a f-art in the woods . What drives us to create such things . . I found that when i was trying to hide my forest build , placing wood straight was effective .
@@lifesahobby yea man IV got a lat more camo work to do yet ,,, it's been a long time since I made a spot 😀 get tired of them getting damaged but I thought it was time ,,,, quick question about the Camara tho. Is it better to use 30 as apposed to 60 fps at 4k ,, I never use slow motion or anything , I'm not very knowledgeable on cameras
@Bosundanbushcraft 60fps as long as it's not dark and fix the iso from 100 to 400 . If the camera isn't moving 30 FPS is grand . One thing I found a bit overwhelmed by was the music when you were talking . You are a good talker , don't feel you need to drown your voice out . The sound of nature is what I like to hear .. it's a fine balance . Depending on the type of go pro , it's own simple settings are effective over pro . Your colour was spot on .
glad you got back out there to build, even through the long waffle. 😂 i liked the smoke wafting through the picture, added an mesmerizing element. i can't agree with you on the exclusive diet. it's missing ice cream. 😆 beautiful spot. i hear they're cracking down on this kind of camp/build. is that true? the mr and i were just talking today about how we could see us losing access to blm land because people trash the places, as though they expect someone to come clean up after them. i hope they have forgotten the spot and your plans to hide it work, so they don't mess with it again. 🛴❤
@@scootladychicago well their is no real legal issues as it's common land but I'm allways cleaning people's litter it's more teens finding it or I believe a mysterious dog walker that likes to destroy things in the woods lol 🤣 ice cream is allowed it's got milk so it's good 😊
Beautiful 🤙🤙🤙

Great vid, thanks for sharing mate, love the tilly lamp, great tutorial 👍
I used to collect Tilley lamps. The pre 1971 models were better. I had 3 of them, and they seemed to be better made than the later ones. I sold the whole lot, including all the spares I had for less than £100, just to get rid of them, as I just lost interest with them. The only pressure lamp I've got now, is a Coleman North Star, that runs on petrol.
@@Jack_Warner I have a few Coleman's their good but u gotta keep the tanks spotless clean ,,,, the old Tilly's just keep going and going,, wonderful things they are

If the berries are toxic raw how come the birds eat them?
@@andyblick6735 no that's a great question,,, I have sampled them raw and it didn't do me any harm ,,, however as per my research I'm not going to risk advising people to eat them raw just in case ,,,, maybe the birds have a buit immunity to them but honestly I dnt know ,😄
hiya dan! i watched steve wallis do this in an episode once. i'm not sure i've ever seen a little bushcraft grill like that. dug the tunes while you were panning. who cares if you know what you're doing. you're having fun and learning along the way. if you're turning those by hand, maybe you need a bit more heat (and a utensil 🤭). looked tasty though! we used to hunt for crayfish in the creek at my local park growing up. here's to finding treasure! 🛴❤
@@scootladychicago lol 😂 allways by hand 👌,,, the grill was a kinda desperate times moment , I'm not going to not cook burgers 🍔 and putting them on a stick didn't seem quite right 🤣,, can't wait to back and see if the grill is still their ,,, seems Rowan trees make great grills , it's an area I dnt often go but it's a beautiful place tho lacking in dead wood ,, that river is full of cray fish ,,, or crawdads as many from the US keep telling me 🤣
@@Bosundanbushcraft depends on where in the states you're from for crayfish vs crawdad!
It would be funny to put a gold ring into the pan .
