Do I continue watering if dendrobiums are on trees south Florida winter

Can you pls make a vid on just cattleyas' winter care? For how long do you not water them in winter?

I have a D. aggregatum (lindleyi) but its pseudobulbs and leaves are about half the size of yours. I’ve had it for about 15 months and it is recovering from the neglect it suffered when its previous owner lost interest in it. It has grown a lot and has good roots. I’ve given it bright light and less water this winter but I’m also thinking about putting it in an unheated room under bright lights for about a month to see if that helps it to bloom. The problem is that the unheated room gets below 50 degrees sometimes when it is in the single digits outside. What we won’t do to get blooms!

not watering has never made a difference for my anosmum being able to flower. But interesting it has done fine for 3+ months not getting watered. I decided to do it to my dendrobium chrysotoxum this year. Like mentioned no dendrobium really needs these myths you keep reading about to make them flower but you would only ever find out trying to do the opposite one day and who does that? Basically just me lol.

Not sure if you’re aware of this tip for orchids such as the Sherry Baby and other oncidium alliance ones, but if you pinch off just a little at the tip of the spike so it doesn’t stretch too long, it will form more buds below for a fuller bloom. Love your videos 💚

That was a fantastic unboxing! I would never have expected such mature plants for that price. I was looking them up as you read the names so I could see what the flowers will look like. Wow, what beauties!

We are getting frosts here at night in Southern Ontario too. I would have been beside myself with worry if my orchids were potentially stuck in those temperatures!! And holy moly, 6 orchids for $96 is a steal! Especially with free shipping. I wish the Canadian growers could get on board with those deals too haha!

Buy an orchid for $15 and show it off blooming a month later. Well, you might disagree and say your lava burst was years away but Danni believes in too many myths for my liking. You are actually a far better grower in my books just because you never learnt the bad habits from other "online growers" Like even now that she has moved and her grow space temperatures have not gone below 20 degrees and 27 degrees during the day all her phalaenopsis have started spiking. This is exactly what you would expect. They respond to the change in day length to start as long as day time temperatures are not above 28 degrees C. She has been saying for years now you have to cool them below 20 degrees which is completely false and even though she has inadvertantly proved it this year, finally! she would never bring out a video saying, "I am very sorry for misleading y'all but I was wrong". Nope she will stick to her guns cause it would ruin her rep. You care far more about your orchids than your reputation. As such for that reason and you actually do far more right by learning from real gardeners I presume, I rate your channel more than MOG.
