This self-titled cd was made when I played bass for a band called Funky Demons. We made this cd in 2001 and these were a great group of guys, all of whom were exceptionally talented. All songs copyright 2001 Jon-vocals, acoustic guitar Jeff-lead guitar Dave-bass Tony-drums Song list: 1.Waiting 2.The Shanghai Song 3.We All Bleed 4.The River 5.Funky Demon 6.Stone Groove 7. The Punk Song
Hello! Is there software and updates available for this processor? Is there any way to edit presets?
Who. To solve noise problem
fabulous teacher. I’ve gone through quite a few other tutorials on this pedal that I just picked up, and the other videos, they assume you already know the basics of how to navigate through the functions. This video is the best. Thank you.
@@Jodyrides Thank you!
This is a bad ass little 119db modeler! Stop by my page to see what I did with it on my board.
You did a wonderful job on this video. I've owned every Zoom bass pedal they have made over the decades and this one is still my favorite.
One question how do i make effect chains?? (So like i have the effects that i need directly to each other so that i dont have to go to all the other effects to find the specific one that i need)
Mayuh jaku d tu
Nice overview. Thanks, still trying to figure this thing out
Thanks - concise, efficient and very useful. Why can't life be like this more often?
hi..can we record and save the looper that we played so that we can play it at a gig ect??
can it be turned on and off when you play live, only when you need it?
No bypass that I’m aware of. Probably the only downside.

Love the little squeak at the start lol
Am I missing something or is this pedal missing a bypass switch? anyone suggest a way to select an effect and turn it on and off while you're playing?
No bypass that I’m aware of.
So good it's already discontinued.
Bad patch sala
Have you ever done additional videos about your B1 On effects processor? I've only seen one. Thanks
No, just this video.
Hello! Is there software and updates available for this processor? Is there any way to edit presets?

Super!!!
Is that good for split coil?
I’ve had this pedal for a couple years but never took the time to learn the various menus, editing effects, etc. until just recently. You covered it pretty well although the looper feature part of your video didn’t mention overdubbing by hitting record again but I know that wasn’t the main point of the video. This is one of the better “get you up and running” tutorials I’ve seen on this pedal. Good job 👍🏻
I love that guitar. Cool!
Not sure if anyone is interested but I am working on midi control of parameters / select preset and hopefully load FX. I will post videos on my channel. The plan is to use Raspberry Pi 4 as controller running into Ctrlr midi software (that I ported to the Pi 4) and a large 21.5" touchscreen. I already made some videos on the B1XFOUR / G1XFOUR - work in progress but will be open source. I actually got the B1ON for Particles etc - really dig the B1ON. Great video here btw.
Im interested - pray do tell more how this works...
Nice review! I’m researching which pickups to get for my P Bass - SD Quarter Pounds, Hot, and these. Your review showed them in a good light, but I just can’t decide!!
It depends what you want. The SPB-3 gives you a really boomy low end with good mids and high end. The Steve Harris SPB-4 gives a little more of a scooped sound. Decent mids and low end but not as boomy and over baring as the SPB-3. I actually have the SPB-3 but if I were to get another after market pickup it would be the Steve Harris pickup. To put into context as a bassist whose more into 1970s-1990s Rock N Roll and Heavy Metal they're the way to go. If you're more into Slap and R&B I'd go quarter pounder even though they'll work for Rock, Punk and Heavy Metal. I just happened to prefer that more scooped sound. Good luck.
@@danadane2501 I appreciate the response. I went with Epic Custom Shop’s F2 pickups. They were the most affordable custom-made pickups and have a more vintage sound. Before I got them, I tried the QPs in my bass, and didn’t like the sound. Different strokes for all the folks, yeah? Have a great day and Happy Holidays!
@@timvanboening9432 I'm glad to hear it. I'll have to give those F2s a listen. Happy New Year to you as well.
Awesome video..thank you for the crash course..it really help me operate this thing
You are welcome!
i now need this guitar in my life...
Hipshot bridge on a 100 dollar guitar? Not bad! Thanks for the video man, SD make great pickups.
E. R. Thank you!
Hi. Thank you for this nice review. I watched several videos just to find out one thing but I'm still don't know how to put 2 or 3 effects from different categories back to back in a row to use in one particular song. I would appreciate if you can answer that. Thanks
Can I use this for a guitar? Not a bass but guitar..
Meyi Aiér You can certainly try it and see how it sounds 👍
Yes you can. I got one for thirty bucks today and found it works really well with guitars, especially as a looper and rhythm machine, although the effects are also interesting. It's very, very intuitive to use.
The distortion of bass in a guitar sound good?
@@saidsuaste5186 It doesn't sound like a high-quality distortion pedal or anything, but does sound pretty interesting as a tone color. I haven't tried it through different amps, where it might get closer to a "real" distortion, but I doubt it. For something like this, I think it's best to consider the effects as their own thing, rather than to compare them to "standard" sounds.
@@TomboLP thx, i guess i will use a Zoom G1Four
Great easy to follow review. Thanks.
Thank you!
What was that riff you were playing? Need to show the effects to my friends and that riff is perfect for it
Connor McNab Hi there, I’m doing a simple walking bass line: E-string A to B(5-7 fret), A-string D to E(5-7), D-string G to A(5-7), G-string C to D(5-7). Thank you!
@@warhorse2034 Thank mate :)
@@warhorse2034 What about some of those nice little things you play and the end of some of them? I don't wanna be a bother I'm just not good with theory or picking up notes lmao
Getting this pedal tomorrow 😃 Good vid, mate 👍🏼😃👍🏼
It's a really good pedal.
Second
Hipshot bridge too...
This is the best value in pedals period. Sounds good Is Good. Your listener won't know if it's 60$ or 60,000$ if you play with feeling and on time. Infinite combinations in here. I love A1 and d0 and d1, 2,3,4 and g fuzz. Great job ZOOM GOOD VIDEO TOO 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👌
DOUBLE VAUNCE
Thanks for the vídeo! And I want to know, Is there a way to change the place of the effect? Because If I have to change ,for example, an effect from A to D the only way that I found was pisses a lot of times. I hope that you can understand my question 🤙
El Vagabundo A Hi there, sorry but I think the only way to switch is to use the foot pedals or the orange triangle buttons.
@@warhorse2034 thanks bro! You made a great vídeo 🤘
Thank you!
On a given preset you can change the order. I am working on midi control for it. I will post a video on my channel probably end of this week - bit tied up. It is possible to set the FX parameters, move to different presets etc. I haven't yet worked out how to modify the FX externally but this is possible on my B1XFOUR so I have to believe I will find it.
Oh forget to mention ToneLib is cool fre software if you want to create presets.my idea is to control unit via a Raspberry Pi 4 and large touchscreen
Thanks for the review, i'm actually setting my own effects by using "ToneLib Zoom" software,so you don't have to touch the unit, much easier and faster, anyways this is a great unit for the buck and has actually some pretty good sounds.Keep it up playing bass!
Wait where is this app??? I'm having a hard time balancing mine on top of my Marshall and rumble 100
Very helpful and informative video abt this gadget.Thank you for uploading this video.
theadore100 You are welcome 😊
Thanks. Very helpful as just got one for my son.
Cool!
Hi. Just a question, does this require soldering connections for instal, or are solderless, like those Geezer Butler signature pickups???
yes, soldering
Oskar Toledo So sorry for the late response! Yes, you do have to solder the wires, but the pick-ups come with good instructions to show how to put the wires together. I’m new to soldering and it wasn’t to difficult 🤓
@@warhorse2034 No worries dude, under the latest circunstances i have to put some shopping on hold, included those pickups😞. But is good to know about the soldering thing in the future, cos I don't know anything of it too😁👍
very helpful, thank you!!!
Thanks!!! I need this... :(
need this :) thx for review, very helpful.
You’re welcome
Can I use this on a guitar? I borrowed one from a friend that plays bass
M Raposo I don’t see why not. Give it a try 😁
@@warhorse2034 I've tried it, the reverb and distortion effects I wanted work perfeclty, but I'll buy the G1X version for the guitar I think
Just got this last week. Loving it!
американцы как всегда не напиздяться, звук неплох и снят на телефон
Nice video bro. I have a noob question. I'm a guitar player it means that I only have a guitar, amp and pedals, but only for guitars. Recently I bought a bass guitar with nothing more and my dubt was if i buy the zoom pedal do i need to have a bass amplifier or with my amp won't be a problem. 2.- if i only buy the zoom Will it work with only headphones in it? Sorry for the English and the stupid question but i'm still learning :D
Eet fuk dont use bass guitar on your guitar amp. You will blow its speakers
I would not recommend using a guitar amp for playing bass. You can use the pedal with headphones and it has a USB port to plug into your computer 👍
@@Xianpaul0523 thanks for the answer bro!
@@warhorse2034 Thanks bro Nice review btw
