iKasi Media is a rural training provider in film TV and digital media who share relevant skills with un-employed, marginalised youth in South Africa. We are a registered Not for Profit company with tax exemption, and able to issue donors with 18A certificates. We are based in the Garden Route where, a large percentage of youth NEETs - Not in Employment, Education, or Training. The film industry has been identified as one of the most significant economic drivers in the country. Training and development in this sector, targeted to rural areas in particular, is a priority if previously disadvantaged youth are to have access to the economic opportunity.

During our training programme learners have a chance to pitch and create their own content, with the help of our facilitators. We support youth to tell their own stories using what they have, even if it is just a cellphone. This channel is a platform for these rural producers and a celebration of their innovative and creative work
