You can find other official retailers here asia.pokemon-card.com/sg/shopmap/. I would recommend buying from shops that organises games because that way you know for sure they are getting products (those gym promos) from official distributors.

I was fortunate enough to receive a case of them from my cousin, who has his own bookstore and have been selling Pokemon for many years. So I think he'll get his supply, but maybe not, we'll see. (It's supposed to come tomorrow) My example is taking into account the fact that I have a case. So my plan right now is to sell all of them and just sit on the profit until the reprint hits in a long time, idk 6-8 months and use the money to hopefully get a larger position in it or just get a case back. I think the opportunity to sell right now is too great considering a large reprint is coming.

@ there will be reprint but usually distributors jack up the price after the first release so you might not be able to get back in at the same low price again. Will be good to check with your cousin what’s his opinion, he’ll have a good idea if he has been in the market for a while.

@@Poképathfinder Oh, that is concerning. He's not in the market really, he owns a bookstore, that sells Pokemon. He dosen't really go into it that much, but it can't hurt to ask. :)

@@thisisgerald I don’t know how much I’ll get exactly. As mentioned in the video, I was warned it is subjected to allocation and might even be totally cancelled. But for 1 got 10% of what I asked for in Prismatic Evolution ETB. So if demand and supply remains for this set the same, I will likely get about 10% of what I asked for. I believe I said that in this video too?

Just sold out on PC UK, if you look at swsh base, rebel clash, darkness abalze, vivid voltage and battlestyles one set is clearly miles ahead of the others. The one what actually has alt arts. People will regret sleeping on this one

@ time will tell, it’ll be interesting to look back and see how these sets go. Nobody has a crystal ball but we do our best making reference to data we have. Everything looks rosy in a bull market, just got to be careful not over committing. Cheers!

@ also, please know that I don’t invest into these sets because in my opinion there are other sets that has potential to do better in the same price bracket, at least in Singapore. If you have access to only Battle styles or Vivid Voltage at a good price where you are then it might be a decent play 🙂

@@rasmusbertelsen6129 in this video, I only explored the range of variables that could affect a booster box price. It would take a proper team of market analyst to really study the actual parameter and still won’t get it exactly right because they can’t measure human emotion. Many people buy these expensive product based on emotion, they don’t need it. So I’m sorry I can’t give you an answer but it was a fun study for me and I hope it helped you too!

@@Poképathfinder It was fun to follow and would the emotion part not just also be something that needed to be studied and have it's own equation in itself? We all know 151 have more motional nostalgia/empact the Surging Sparks, but there is still a Pikachu, which also triggers something. Wouldn't that be interesting to try and study?

@@rasmusbertelsen6129 yes, it is indeed very interesting to study but it also requires a lot more expertise to delve very deep into it. We must also be careful not to be dragged along with the bull market and thought that everything will turn out very well. No one thought Greninja in twilight will do well but it did. If you managed study into it please share with us 🙂

@@rasmusbertelsen6129 Greeting from Singapore! I will eventually make a video about my overall plan which will include my exit strategy but let me give you a quick summary of my thoughts. 1. I will hold till at least 4-5 years after release because history tells us there’s when you’ll see a big jump in demand (price), if you see earlier, you risk missing out on the big jump, even for sets like surging sparks. 2. I will sell sets that are doing less than around 10-15% gain a year and invest back on new products (at wholesale price) because average sets will gain more than 15% per year after the price jump in 4/5 years. Good new sets will do much better than 20% a year. As for platforms, you can try selling on Instagram, Facebook marketplace, local forum if you want to avoid platform fees. The next best thing is build your own website, create a reputation especially when it comes to selling high priced items. People find it harder to buy expensive items from “stranger”.

@@Poképathfinder Alright, so I'll be looking forward to your next video. I like the point of the 20%, cause there are many sets, so you could get them all or as many as you can and keep the ones that are doing good. My strategy is I search the market in Denmark to find cheap new sets and try to get a position in them. If the set gains some hype or I believe it is too good to fail, then I'll place some preorders, like I've done now on Prismatic Evolutions and 151 (Blooming Waters). This strategy did make me miss Surging Sparks, and I for one believe it's a really uninteresting Pikachu, the mail chase card, and only find the Milotic nice. The rest to me is a doll set. Journey together so far looks like the worst set i've seen in a long time, only what Meowth and that dog with the sword in it to carry a whole set? Or atleast people are already preordering with only that infomation. Insane to me. I think, Like Rudy points out. We need a correction in the market, but it seems very very strong right now. I can't get myself to sell my Fusion, Evolving and Lost Origin positions, but I whish I could, cause I do believe we need a correction! @ if you have access to good price at release like what they have in the US, it is OK to get a little of everything and buy more of the good ones after observing it for a few months. Average set will return around 15% after 4-5 years after the price jump but the “worst” set will take much longer. The problem I have is that I can’t get booster boxes in the USD90+ range so I need to be more strategic in what I buy. Unfortunately, we can’t predict accurately how most sets will do unless it’s obvious like Prismatic Evolution (eevelution and master ball, just take my money) or Surging Sparks with good looking cards and Pikachu. What’s the price point in Denmark for new sets?

​@@Poképathfinder In Denmark prelease on a booster box is usually around 155 USD, with the current high dollar valuation. Normally it's 160 USD, I'd say. I only buy boxes around 110 USD from private people, so the hustle way. Only when the set is really good I'd get it on prerelease. My strategy is working well, but man did I wish I lived in a country with a Pokemon Center!

@ you’re not missing much. Pokémon center in Singapore is totally out of PC ETB. Booster box is at USD 180. The Pokemon Centers at UK and US are much better.

The set vivid voltage might take a little while to go up but it will definitely move upward due to the cute rainbow pika. Everyone knows people will hunt for a cute fat pika in the future.

Battle styles Actually could be a good hold with the houndoom gold shiny,sleepy tyranitar and all those urshifu’s that kid’s love

@ I hope you’re right! Every sets move up but at a different rate depending on demand of the sets.

@@Poke-twin yes, I’ve heard many people like the set and it is probably the set that will do OK among the sets I mentioned in this video. Only time will tell for sure.

Behind Evolving Skies, I think Vivid Voltage is the most remembered set during that era. When you did the comparison, I think XY Evolution is similar. High print rate, not the best set of that era. Curious to see how that compares.

I don’t want to agree, but I do. However, once people realize how absolutely absurd it is to charge 200-300 per etb, it will go down.

@@RiyanBallesteros-Pattanayak check out my first video, I looked into all sets till 2014, X&Y base set. TLDR, all Pokemon set goes through a jump after around 4 years (when it’s hard to find) and the growth slows down after that. How much it jumps and continue to grow depends on popularity of the set. There is still interest (just look at eBay sales) in old sets but easier if it’s the popular ones. Cheers!

@@thisisgerald search for booster boxes on shopee you’ll often see the shop offers one of the lowest price. They have a physical shop in AMK. I think I gave enough hint :) I know the shop always keep some to sell for walk-in customer, same thing happened during Surging Sparks but back then I got all my pre-orders. Prismatic Evolution is just too sought after, the supplier ordered almost 200 cases based on pre-order, it’s just an impossible number if you consider pretty much any considerable sized shops do the same.

@@Poképathfinder yup, i know which one you're referring to. honestly his allocations aren't even in the top 3 distros in Singapore because he doesn't hit targets often enough.

@@thisisgerald you have a better one to recommend? I like to work with him because he's very open in communicating, like he warned everyone about allocation during pre-order and only collected a small amount for deposit so I thought that's fair. I also visited another one in Serangoon (you'll probably know too), hard to get into his list because he already had so many "regulars". So I stuck with my shop since his price is very good anyway :)
