In the previous retro-production episodes, we looked at some 80's toy keyboards. But what were musical toys like before the digital revolution? Let's dive even further back into history, to look at a toy harp made in Japan somewhere between the 1950's and 60's.
The instrument was made by a company called FMT. It's a very basic lap harp, sometimes also called a zither. But it produces a surprisingly beautiful sound, given how cheaply it was made. So let's see what we can make with it in 2024, with the modern production technology we have at our disposal now.
