Spectrometer Design Principles: Enhancing Raman Spectroscopy for Advanced Applications
In this talk, our Application Specialist Rasmus Sterobo will explore the fundamental principles underlying the design and manufacture of optical spectrometers for Raman spectroscopy and other low-light applications. He will discuss different design approaches, comparing traditional reflective gratings to newer alternatives such as volume phase holographic (VPH) and surface-relief transmission (SRT) gratings. Additionally, he will provide valuable insights on optimizing spectrometer performance and designing an entire Raman system, from the light source to the detector.
