In today's video, we bring you this lovely spec 720s brought down to us by GVE London for a customer who recently purchased the car. After they fitted a straight-through system they brought the car to us to receive some PPL treatment and turn this into a proper street monster that'll trouble most things on the road.
Mclarens are usually known for being extremely quiet from factory, the same definitely can't be said for this example, especially after our custom ECU software with extremely aggressive pops and bangs. Why are the back wheels not spinning? It is a 4 motion
When these cars are in dyno mode they disable the Haldex meaning all power is set through the front wheels for less drivetrain loss. when active, the 4WD system in these are predominantly FWD sending 90% of the power through the front wheels with the rears only kicking in when the car senses traction loss.
Im trading my c7z for a fully loaded audi rs7, and my question is, it comes with a stage 2 tune and down pipes, i am planning on driving the car for 6 months and selling it, would it be easy to sell with the tune and down pipes or would it be better to make it stock before getting it and then sell it?

No tune needed, although our Stage 1 tune really does wake these cars up a lot as they are quite restricted from factory

@PPL TUNING how often do you re-fill the meth tank on these m140i's?
It really depends on how the customer drives. We map the meth to only start spraying when on boost so when cruising around daily driving minimal meth will be used. However if the car is driven quite hard then expect to be refilling more often. We usually recommend the larger tank for those who like to drive with more spirit.

stage 2 500HP?
Yes they make anywhere from 490-520 crank HP depending on supporting mods and mileage of the car. Very responsive platform.
35 thousand km’s ok to do stage 2 ?
Yes that'll be safe for stage 2. We always make sure to do a health check before we start any tuning to make sure the car is safe for modification

0-60 should be around 3.0-3.3 depending on conditions. We will try to bring one to one of the events we are going to so we ca get some times

To mount the original downpipe did you have to remove the exhaust manifolds?
No, the downpipe comes straight off the turbo on to the midpipe.
Does it drone much when driving? Want to get the same setup, got a 300 cells cat from milltek atm w remus midpipes , but there is still a big res in the middle
Nah no drone bro, I got double res delete but stock cat and it’s exactly the same thanks to the 8 gears… I heard even with a decat it’s normal too
Sounds like a tractor
With a 300 cell cat it definitely won't drone at all. As mentioned above the ZF8 box ensures at motorway speeds and normal driving the car is at fairly low rpm anyway so there is not much noise.

What did you guys do I have a c43 w206 I was thinking about a stage 2
For the C43 a full stage 2 package would include catless downpipe, intake and inlet, and our custom stage 2 ECU and TCU software.
So to confirm, you guys didn't upgrade the crankhub? In your experience how often do you see failures with OTS maps and stock crankhub? Would you recommend installing a fix/upgrade for peace of mind or is it not necessary?
That's correct. We haven't personally seen any failures on OTS Stage 2, it really comes down to how the car is driven and looked after at stage 2 and lower power levels. We recommend if planning on going further than stage 2 to do a full 2/4 pin fix . We have heard of cars spinning the hub at all different levels of tuning from stock to stage 3, but also seen cars that have had no issues on up to stage 3 but it is always recommended by us for anything over Stage 2

B f80 sounds louder
F80 pops louder, G80 rumble louder

So the Milltek back box made no difference? 😕
The difference was very minimal but it does provide a small improvement over stock while keeping emissions the same. Removing the GPF/OPFs alongside the backbox really made it come alive with a nice tone

Is the mapping on this custom? I currently have MHD stage 2+ which is nice but after a little while of playing with pops and bangs im a bit fed up with. It's fake and puts me off using sport mode. I do like it when a car pops naturally though when the exhaust gets hot 🔥
