This aired right as I was starting college. Just as Degrassi aired right as I was started 7th grade. Very much feel like I was part of a special generation. (Or maybe a very manipulated generation? You decide)

Damn, I remember watching this show back in 2013 and today out of nowhere I remembered it. I hope you uploaded all the episodes to TH-cam, if you could probably upload it to TPB? The torrents there have no seeders.
As of 2024 this show was affected by the infamous writers strike of 2007 but it's mostly the highly underrated show ever.
I wish they'd bring back all of the "The N' or "TeenNick" shows. Beyond The Break, South of Nowhere, Whistler, Instant Star, etc.. these were really the best years, of my generation.

Explain to me what was the big deal about a “meal plan” shouldnt a scholarship be more of a issue than eatting food i understand she probably was broke but it never made sense to me granted this was BEFORE uber eats but still what was the big deal lmao
There are certain requirements and fees schools make each student meet/pay. For example a technology fee, you can't just say no thanks, I'll just not use your computers or print anything. In this case the meal plan is required. Even if you think you don't need it. My school required all freshman living on campus to have one. I guess her scholarship didn't cover all of her school fees.
It feels so good being able to watch this show again.

This show was my shit when i was 12. It was when teennick was called the N and it went off after one season because there was controversy about it being a college show for a teenage channel and then they brought it back and it sucked ass as the ratings went down and it got canceled. So sad. Kick ass theme song too!

Where did you find season 1?
I was lucky that my college had good food in their dining hall. And even though it was a small campus, we had great options for food on the campus and in town.

I can’t judge a show by its cover but this came up as one of the best teen shows but I personally think it’s more dark than degrassi sometimes I can’t even Watch degrassi at night ion think I would actually watch this butt I’m pretty sure the show is good

Agree. They aired some here in my country but most are impossible to find (e.g. Radio Free Roscoe). I'm glad that now we can watch Degrassi, Edgemont and Instant Star though. I didn't get the chance before.
I watched this show in India when I was in high school in 2007. Great storyline. I was very upset when it ended. Good to revisit Best Years again ❤️

@@LW62FL yeah they brought it back like way later than they were supposed to and by that time they couldn’t keep a lot of the original actors and it was way different than season one. It sucked. Didn’t do well so was cancelled once again and final
Bc they tried to go from a Dark & edgy drama in season 1 to a slapstick comedy in season 2. The producers/writers ruined SO much potential…It’s actually really annoying and sad

@@azzz7279Close to lost media. I managed to finally find the first season but not the second one. Many teen shows from the 2000s and earlier are in the same situation. And weirdly a lot of them are Canadian shows. For example, I'm pretty sure they aired Whistler in my country, but nobody knows about it. I also remember Radio Free Roscoe and others. I was also interested in RenegadePress and Caitlin's Way, but they're rare as well. I'm glad that at least we can watch Edgemont and Instant Star now. Same with Degrassi. Oh, and Skins US was filmed in Canada and it's also not easy to find. I recommend that version even if it's slightly different from the original.
