Love the Ultra, but these Cara have a lot of hidden issues,mechanically AND electronically. And the rear parcel shelf is very prone to rusting out. Then you have the rear air suspension that sags. Just swap out a lesabre rear end for it. I did, and keep those triple window seals LUBED every few months. Big issue with this car. My original 05 doesn't even have 3k miles on it but the Y2K sure gets used a lot. 203k miles. $7700 spent for parts replacement over-the-counte over the years NOT too bad for a 23 year old car. The 05 is like new. Climate controlled storage barn. I do all of my own work on it. Saves me a lot of labor costs. Make sure your cabin air filter gets changed out and Air box filter. If not, you'll have issues. The plastic intakes are prone to going bad. So buy an upgrade aftermarket intake made in America by GM to replace their screw up. Brakes are expensive, the wheels can be an issue with the TPMS for tires. And my Avalon sings along beautifully with 165k miles. That's the 2005. No issues at all, just change timing belt as needed. Keep oil changed. But I still like my Park Avenue Ultra. It's my very special event car.

My dad bought an almost exact G20 Van like this, a '91 I believe. AV Conversion done in Muscle Shoals Alabama. He got it as a present to himself and the family after he retired from almost 21 years in the Navy. The family used it to drive cross country! This brings back memories! Thanks for sharing!

Can't beat Ford's PANTHER PLATFORM!!

That rattling tapping noise at 9:00 freaks me out like it's gonna blow a lifter or a rocker arm. Is there any way of quieting then down? Also sounds like it may have an exhaust leak

An old neighbor\friend of my grandparents Laurel had a pearl white 03 - 05 Park Avenue Ultra similar to this one it looked really nice and i got ride in it with my grandparents a few times this was around 2013 - 2014 back when we used to live Moore OK. If i had the money and found a nice one like it for sale at a good price i would probably buy it.

I bought a 2004 Ultra from an estate three years ago. It came in the White Diamond Pearl paint color. It looks as if it just came out of the factory! The gentleman who owned it sure took excellent care of it. I take it to car shows now and people still tell me how much they enjoyed the one they had.

Question. On the 99 model should a running headlight only come on when the blinker in engaging? On the front there is 1 constant running headlight but a second will come on if you engage the blinker. I feel the second light should remain on. Is this light working correctly?

Worth every penny I have had two of them still have the 2000 model.

I think they should bring back the Park Avenue. Especially with those 3800 series engines they are bulletproof.

I like that they keep the column shifter. Counsol/shift is nice that way. Not a fan of floor shifting automatics.
