About:
In this video, Joseph from stewardship.com discusses Galatians chapter 3 and John chapter 3. These two passages describe the beginning (birth) of the spiritual life. Galatians 3 goes into further detail about how spiritual life continues beyond being “born again.” Physical life begins with DNA and continues with DNA, just as life in the Spirit begins AND continues by faith in Jesus Christ.

    Dear Self Thinkers, The law was ONLY given to old covenant Israel and has not existed for nearly two thousand years. Moses was never your mediator. You have never transgressed the law. You were never a slave to the law or freed from it. It was never your "guardian". You were never under its curse. You were not redeemed from the curse of the law. You're welcome.

      In at least one case, the daughters inherited the land. (See the story about the daughters of Zelophehad.) If they did not have ANY children, I'm guessing the land would go directly to the nearest male relative (the same person who could have functioned as a kinsman-redeemer) upon the death of the elderly couple.

      A precedent in this situation was set by the daughters of Zelophehad. They had no brothers and did inherit their parents' property. But there was an additional requirement in this case that they had to marry within their tribe (Manasseh). See Numbers 27 and 36.

    Actually the talents are 5, 3, and 1 and the talents are not skills or abilities but are representative of measures of faith. Faith without works is dead. The works are represented by Faith's measure being filled with the equal measure of works. Works of faith are not good deeds but rather the Substance and Evidence that makes our faith full and sufficient to our belief in Jesus and the Father. Where the reward is entry into the kingdom of heaven. Yet the servant who buried his talent committed the unforgivable sin of not even trying to fill or establish his faith with the works of faith. He simply let God do all the work. Even as Christian's do today when they pray to God saying let your will be done in my life. Only God may bring you to see a truth but he doesn't force you to accept it, the truth reveals the love of the Father but you must choose to walk/submit to doing the Way of love and Abide in the love until it transforms you to become One in the love/with the love How many sins you are to repent from is based on your Faith's measure size. When your measure is full it becomes sufficient to your belief in Jesus. These are the works of faith. Every time you become one the love is known by your heart of faith. Faith is the Substance of things hoped for, (love) and the Evidence (love, again) of things unseen.(Jesus) Doing this is called walking in the Way in/of Jesus. And the truth you find and are given witness to in the Gosple that truth reveals the love of the Father. And these all are the knowledge that we perish for the lack of...knowledge of God's love and the knowledge of God's Righteousness. Jesus said, no man knoweth the Son but the Father and no man knoweth the Father but the Son AND THOSE TO WHOM HE CHOOSES TO REVEAL HIM. Faith is established! Belief is given the only biblical reason for belief. "If the love is real...so is He who reveals." JJ Just understand faith to believe must be established before you can truely believe. And the only Way to establish your faith is to walk in the Way in/of Jesus...repent to the acknowledging of truth to why you sin, see the love alternative to choose to submit to walking in, Abide in and become ONE in increasing measure until your measure is full and sufficient to your belief in Jesus. Go ahead and make a video of this, just split your donations with me 50/50. 😊 Here's my address: James Truett P.o.box 126321 San Diego California 92112. It's not been easy for me to become the teacher of the Way in/of Jesus as prophesied about in Isa.30:20-21,25 at 69 years of age I live to fulfill my purpose. To you and all who read this comment and learn from it to start walking in the Way in/of Jesus...May the Lord be with you. And if you have any question feel free to ask. Mina = Money. Talent = gold. Both are the most valuable earthly possessions. QUESTION: What is most valuable in spiritual terms? The teachings of Jesus. Talent and minas are not our abilities or our possessions but what Jesus left us. That is why before Jesus ascended He left us the great commission. And what is that? Teach ALL things I commanded you. When Jesus comes back He will not ask us of how much money we have in the bank or how many branches of the businesses we have established. He will rate us based on what He taught us. Based on obedience. We should take risk to obey Jesus. Low risk = low reward. High risk = high reward.

    Those given higher numbers only doubled. Lazy one happened to be the lowest provided one. Also lord discriminate 5 talent guy and 2 talent guy, though both multiplied their resources, by giving the one talent to the bigger processor. This is little confusing. Explanation is little complicated. Talents are not absolute, but the way it was perceived by the receiver. All of them were actually given equal Talents. One who recognized it as Five is better than the one who recognized it as Two. Third guy, who got One just refuses to see the actual worth of what was given to him.

    • @stewardshipyoutube
      @stewardshipyoutube ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a unique interpretation. What led you to see it that way?

    • @georgevarkey4315
      @georgevarkey4315 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stewardshipyoutube Parables and stories have underlying meanings which is not visible at the upper layer. Also every verse needs explanation. One talent taken from the third guy should have been divided equally between the other two. But it is given to first guy. There should be a reason or explanation. It is done by a cruel lord. That point is also to be noted. Story is structured to give description of talent is by a third party not “ I gave” or “ I received “.

      Agree that parables have multiple layers. That doesn't mean they can be stretched to fit every interpretation. You're the 2nd person I've heard describe the Lord as "cruel" and therefore not Jesus. Who do you think the king/lord represents?

    Actually, Christianity is a sort of small-c communism done right. Christians don't kill you if you oppose it, because they don't need to. God's justice will prevail regardless, as it did here. But this is a voluntary form of communism. That which you earn is your private property, what you do with it is between you and God. If God doesn't tell you to let it go, you don't have to. If He does, then I think it's probably a good idea to obey Him. The problem with what Ananias did was that he was not required to give them any of the proceeds, or sell the land to begin with. And yet he chose to lie to them, probably to curry favor with them or others around him. He wasn't doing it for them, he was doing it for him.

    So wait, are you attempting to discredit the ideas of socialism by attacking two individuals who espoused it? Rather than take on the ideas, which are supported by the early church and the book of Acts, of socialism, you're discrediting Marx and Lenin because they were intellectuals? The US is a socialist country. It's a socialism for the wealthy. I'll be happy to engage on the topic as long as you don't do the same thing in your video and make it a personal attack. The kind of hoarding you describe at the end is what is actually happening. There was a study done that, when people were asked about what percentage of wealth the super-rich own, they are way off in their assumptions - they're too low! The billionaire class are the scrooge McDucks, and they're building their HQs outside of DC to make sure they maintain the stranglehold on society.

    • @stewardshipyoutube
      @stewardshipyoutube ปีที่แล้ว

      This is my first video on the topic. There are more coming, including on Acts and the early Christians. I know there are milder forms of socialism. Marx and Lenin are easy to pick on, because the results of their ideas (and actions) have been so harmful. There is definitely a lot of Scrooge McDuck-style hoarding going on. Aided by the crony capitalism that DC specializes in. But not all wealth accumulation by rich people is hoarding. If you look at their assets, most of them are bound up in businesses that are creating the products that we use every day. It's not like they actually have a pool of gold coins to swim in.

Subarus were holding their value better than other cars and the price difference was not enough to make it worth it to us to buy used. We were avid followers of Dave Ramsey so we had to overcome feeling like we sinned over it. Still though, followed his rule that both of our cars were less than half our annual income.

      My favorite books that focus on basic principles are probably 1. Antifragile 2. Killing Sacred Cows 3. The Origin of Financial Crises 4. The Misbehavior of Markets 5. What I Learned Losing a Million Dollars (or Trading in the Zone, both are great for understanding the emotional aspects) My favorites for specific niches: The Evaluation and Optimization of Trading Strategies (systematic) The Secret Life of Real Estate and Banking (real estate) The Innovator's Dilemma (tech)
