I grew up in Terra linda, San Rafael is great but very expensive!

Grew up in San Anselmo 80s

I lived there. Snobs. People are very self important there. Even the children don’t have fun. 🙄.

There’s liberals there and they are not friendly. I know. I lived there and moved. 🙄. Many very self important people

Lived in Marin for 44 years. Compared to San Francisco, Alameda, and Contra Costa Counties, Marin stands alone in safety which is a major quality of life issue. I live in Larkspur. Want to see out of control shoplifting, Sideshows, armed robberies, graffiti, litter, bad schools? Go to Alameda, San Francisco, or Contra Costa. Want to get away from that Hell? Live in Marin. It has a high price tag but it is worth every penny.

False, home price is not a reason, you can either afford it or not. Not a reason. You could move to horrible place that’s affordable. It’s like saying Beverly Hills is expensive the SF median is 1.1mil. SF is not a good place to raise kids. Commuting sucks in lots of places but people that can afford Marin often work from home (remote) or have their own business. The ferry is great. Having kids is a great way to meet meet people in the same place in life. Amenities are not less, it’s just less urban sprawl. You move to Marin to avoid the city density. “Open space” completely makes up for all of that. What you might call challenges other call advantages.

My moms g/f husband worked on the apartments in the canal area,said to my mother,I am building the future slums of San Rafael this was back in the 60s,he sure was right!

I believe on the San Rafael slide you meant Residents not Residence I live in San Rafael but in my opinion there are no bad places to live in Marin County.....Just some I can't afford. :-)
