Sick!! I've flown that exact airplane at that exact airport
Good learning experience, plus the dreaded hot start!
Yeah that's a rough one!
How does power control altitude?
If you have no power. There’s no thrust. If there’s No thrust. There’s no lift. If there’s no lift. There’s no altitude
@@trlaviation Doesn't thrust create a horizontal force? How does that hold altitude?
Great instructor. Very calm and pleasant. Also control airspeed with pitch and altitude with power. Nice job man. Keep going!
which go pro model did you use in front window ?
MAX
dont make this mistakes saar
Oh man I remember those days of compounding errors. Almost 300 hrs now, and still have NEVER had a perfect trip. Every trip I've had (near) perfect phases of flight, but it is like my golf game. I've never shot a perfect round of golf. IFR training has made me a better pilot for sure, but still can't nail everything. Like you said, always learning.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. If you'd cut the power a few seconds earlier at the start of the video, I reckon you'd have greased it ;)
I think you might be right 😂
Doing ppl training in a cirrus is crazy, hope you never try to fly a 6 pack without extra instruction.
I started on a 6 pack but it will definitely be challenging
Literally the best airport to train out of
It was nice
I used to fly out of Sky Acres not far away
@Jerrylumdegaard oh ok I think i flew into there once, I did most of my and 3 checkrides out of Farmingdale but wish I did them upstate, everything is so calm and easy to fly into
Im a student at KPOU :) i love it
@ me too we probably go to the same school 😂💪✌️
He didn't call ATC. ATC did not call the aircraft. The call to ATC should have been made before entering IMC. That's how it works.
too low to call. ATC would not have heard us
That's not how it works. Departed with and IFR clearance, not VFR. Allowed to enter IMC at any altitude as part 91 flight. ATC gave instructions as what to do upon entering controlled airspace. That's what you follow initially. Contacting ATC is not a requirement prior to entering imc.
First lesson in IMC? Looks like the CFI is robbing you.
Why
Excellent lesson! Clear, concise instructions followed by the reason for the action and the desired result to look for. It is a learning experience. Soon the student will be able to do it on his own.
I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Hello, "TRL Aviation" I was analyzing your channel and saw that in your channel have some problem, That's why your channel is not much growing and not getting much engagement, If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. If you tell I can tell these problems. Where can I tell? Here or ig or where?
Appreciate the feedback!
Nice Job , Sky Acres is a great fly -in destination , I like that approach onto 35 ..
My bad, sorry
Simulator? Training flight?
Training flight
The good old elite flight experience sr20. I have soo many hours in that plane.
love it
Ya, I’ve got more than a few hours in that bird as well;). Nicely done!
@ u should try out the G7 ;)
I definitely wish I had seen this video before I flew into sky acres the first time! I had a hard time finding the field number one, and number two that downsloping runway definitely presented some issues on landing. I hope a lot of people who fly into that airport watch this video. Happy new year!
Glad you found it helpful. Keep practicing!
Thank you for sharing this video. I can 100% relate to this scenario. I did all of my training in a Cirrus (fast, TAA, complex airspace) and getting oriented to runway direction and pattern entry, while trying not to fall behind the plane, was literally the most difficult thing I had to master. Took lots of time and patience. Stick with it!
Glad you can relate! It does take a lot of practice to get it down.
Excellent approach and fantastic landing! Kudos to your student for hand flying the approach. Textbook Cirrus approach 100% in line with the iFOM. Only one comment for you to consider. Although activating the approach from the PROC menu is an acceptable method, I have found it to be a bit risky versus selecting your desired fix on the approach in the FMS and then selecting “ direct to” enter, enter. I nearly busted my instrument check ride using “activate approach” because I had not double checked which fixed was loaded as the IAF on the approach, and when I activated the approach the AP tried to take me in a direction I wasn’t expecting. I am also finding more and more instances where I am instructed to join the approach at an intermediate fix, rather than an IAF. So I now only activate approaches by one of two methods. First is by cursoring to the desired fix on the approach, visually confirming that is indeed where I want to go, hitting “direct to”, visually confirming one more time that it is the correct fix, and then activate. The other method is VTF (vectors to final). Again, excellent approach and your student did very well flying in IMC.
Appreciate the advice and feedback. 👍
Thanks for sharing. I always find that recording flights will teach so much more when we can watch them later in a relaxed state. Keep them coming brother.
Appreciate you watching!
He needs a pillow. I lived on an Oregon Aero seat with bottom and back as I too am short. We need to see out. Good job with teaching that we need to use rudder as much as necessary to maintain directional and longitudinal axis control. With the target between his legs, it will be between your legs (optical longitudinal alignment.) This becomes critical on short final where humans with lots of muscle memory to use the steering wheel will use the aileron and let adverse yaw mess with every landing and even be a hole in the Swiss cheese for LOC. Slow flight is good. Also hover taxi on long runways to get the feel of the much less than Vso airspeed of landing in low ground effect. Good job guys.
She’s absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations.
What do you use to record audio?
I’ve done this exactly 😭😂 I thought to myself afterwards “why tf did I say that” 😭
😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅
That orange looks great! 👍🏾

@@trlaviation Did... did you wish CTAF a safe flight? 😅
Love that airplane
Nice
Seems like a cool calm instructor, nice flight man. If you want a little more noise cancellation paired with comfort, I recommend checking out Nflight Mic adapter for consumer grade noise cancelling headphones. Its a nice middle ground from those ear buds from bose and the q30s. Nice plane and keep up the good training.
Thanks for the tips!
How long have you been working on TH-cam??
yess.... yesss.. hahaha
Thank you, yaw again.
Loved the where are we and looks at the phone. Don't ask for power on cross controls departure spins. Airplane doesn't like it.
Come on i was making sure I didn’t have an airport behind me
@@trlrace Yah sorry about that. Stalls is some of the first lessons. After awhile even after you get your ticket you'll be checking the map for area airfields. Normally army helicopter fields have a good length for a Cessna to land on. Land with the rows of a plowedd field instead of a higher chance of gear digging in or busting. Watch for telephone poles since they include wires you have to miss. Fly safe and have fun man.
Yes sir
More Rudder!! lol. I heard that exact thing from my instructor today. Thanks for posting. These videos really help to go back and learn especially during that engine failure. No way someone remembers all that in the moment on the first time. Thanks again.
Thanks for your comment. Enjoy 😉
This is awesome! I just started I've done 1 hour lol
Keep at it
I'm about the same spot in my training. Thanks for posting. Having recordings really helps us go back and get a good review when we aren't "in the moment" and can self critique.
*promo sm* 🌹
Excellent!
