The trail to see Delicate Arch up close and personal is 3 miles round-trip and climbs 480 feet. Along this steadily uphill trail, you'll also pass the Wolfe Ranch cabin and a wall of Ute Indian petroglyphs. The light opening beneath the arch is 46 feet high and 32 feet wide, making it the largest free-standing arch in Arches National Park.

This is a very popular area for birding and off-road driving, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are March through October. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas. Elevation gain - 4,514 feet.

Do you recall approximately how long it took to do the full out and back? I'm taking group in 2 weeks and want to plan enough time to explore as well.
I believe we took 4 hours but we did not make it all the way to the end. We had a rental Razor and had to allow time to get back to town.
