FS Rear Wing Tutorial Part 1 - Geometry
Hi, in case you were still around and see this comment, when i do the step where i sketch a circle to allow for the wing to be meshed correctly and manufactured, i smart dimension to 6mm, and it just messes up my aerofoil and it disappears. Do you know why this is?
The link to the geometry model pls?
Have you ever did the post processing of the results tutorial?
you've helped me with my master thesis, thank you
Hey please can you tell me how to get the characteristic length? Should we take the chord length as characteristic length or the wing span?
Always the chord length.
@@thachiman thank you
If I’m doing a 3D problem with the infinite wall symmetry, in reference values, would my area still be chord length x wingspan
Indeed. Your reference area should reflect the platform area of your wing. Remember if it’s a half model then this area will be half of the full wing when specifying the value in ANSYS.
@@thachiman this is going to help me a lot for formula student. Just one more question, is the characteristic length the same as the reference length in that case?
@@jettoaji646 Happy to help bro. And yes that’s correct.
@@thachiman 🙌🙌 thank you
Is the Fluent solving method the same as your 2d method?
Yes. You will have more faces to assign boundary conditions to but the process is the same.
