Irish Women In Harmony’s cover of Dreams by The Cranberries, captured the hearts of the nation. A collective of Irish female artists came together to create something powerful, in an effort to raise awareness and support for women in need. All of this, during one of the most challenging periods of our generation. The track lifted spirits across the country
Irish Women In Harmony made a nationwide call out in search of singers for a ‘Tween Choir’ that would feature the voices of Irish girls under the age of 12, as part of the Christmas single. Over 1,500 entries were received from across the country, which was narrowed down to the lucky chosen 18. This choir of next generation voices was an integral part of magic around creating the single. Through lending their voices to the track, these young Irish women have had both the opportunity to be a part of Irish Women In Harmony, and the opportunity to support their fellow children through Childline

Irish Women in Harmony have recorded a special tribute to Sinéad
O’Connor, celebrating her legacy as one of the biggest and most iconic
artists of all time and raising funds for Aisling Project in Ballymun.

Recorded with John Reynolds in his studio in Co. Wicklow, who has produced and played with Sinéad since her first album, ‘The Lion and the Cobra’, through to her last album, ‘I’m not Bossy, I’m the Boss’ . The support of Sinéad’s loved ones was of the utmost importance to the Irish Women In Harmony collective in recording the single, and funds raised will go to Aisling Project, a charity chosen by Sinéad’s family.
Aisling Project is an after-school intervention program in Ballymun on the Northside of Dublin, aiding children and young people in need of support, through a wide range of ever-expanding activities in a caring and secure environment. For more information see www.aislingproject.ie/

No disrespect but the words said it all, nothing compares to Sinead. Lived in the 80's where she was a light in darker times. Always hoped I'd met her and we'd hug.. Just a warmth around her. She could be mad as a brush but her soul was always honest. There was just something special about her.

I adore this song and I adore Prince for writing such an amazing song, but I don't understand why people keep doing a song in tribute to Sinead which isn't her song and a song she said she didn't want to sing anymore as it didn't connect to her, Sinead has sooo many amazing songs and all these songs are so much more fitting to her personality and the person she was as a feminist. Great version but really no thought put into it just a lazy choice of songs.
I agree with you, but the truth is, any other song used as a tribute would have been ignored. This gives her recognition in spite of the history behind it. So for that reason, I'll smile when i hear this and then go turn on any one of her great albums.
You're not wrong but this is her most popular and iconic song. Whitney Houston didn't write or even first record I will always love you, but it's a similar situation.
