Trump's "Project 2025" plan suggests US military entering Mexico - to combat cartels. But Mexico have left wing, progressive leadership. Fighting cartels? BS 💩
Talal really needs to drop the needless ‘fucking’ with which he punctuates EVERY sentence. It makes him sound like an idiot and he’s not an idiot. Otherwise, keep up the great work.
I mentioned that id thought the Withnail and I was going to be a watch a long. I really think thats the way forward? If we stick it in the old Jarvis Cocker Sunday afternoon slot or the later Annie Nightingale slot, we could have a real thing going on?
The problem with the airship is that Europe has prevailing Westerly winds. You can get to Turkey, but, you have to pedal to get back?
An auto giro was like Christmas. it was a fortnight you didn't have to sign on.
Just put wilf on twitch. And when you are out you can check what he's up to. Ive heard he's a beast on call of duty and he is absolutely amazing on Fortnite 😂
As a child, i remember crying because the hovercraft between Folkestone and Calais was off due to highwinds and we had to get the ferry instead I've never been on a hovercraft. My wife has. Now i know that the iow has one, im booking that for next summer. Funnily enough Wet Leg dont mention it Talal, youve already repaid your fee as a tourist envoy😂 Osbourne House, here I come.
When i was on twitter and i hit a round figure of " followers" i found all the bots dropped off, i think because they didn't want to be "seen" and i'd Incrementally increase again and past that figure So, if we get to 500 patreons i think you should plan for a load of people saying i " well you dont need my tenner any more, ill take it to Greggs instead"
It was so funny seeing so many ex cabinet ministers on " a protest" Get them locked up Them, Farage , lloyd Webber, Clarkson, they'd do so well for a couple of months on remand. I haven't seen politics:joe or cassette boy for months but it would be mint to see a montage of them all saying lock up protesters 😂
Hello Wilf!
Rachel Reeves a genius 😂 an incompetent more like .
I agree with Wilf's thoughts on the state of alternative comedy in the late 80's, which you guys talked over. Rude! I have to rewind the video a bit now because I started commenting as soon as Wilf was finished speaking. :)
was finally able to watch withnail & i on daily motion. enjoyable film. The jaguar is a very cool car. Michael Elphick was jake the poacher. I wasn't cool with withnails driving , it was exaggerated nonsense. Now I know what a Camberwell carrot is.
Great content, as always! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Good point about the media coverage of the farm marches and the huge marches against genocide.
Definitely, it's the same Daily Heil bull as the fuel protest back in the 2000's, hijacking a grievance to further their right-wing agenda.
If you do a livestream, can we see Wilf? He adds to the ambience. Great podcasts btw. Looking forward to Andrew Feinstein being on
The SCG is to the left of the soft left and is the most left wing group in Labour. There are two groups in the SCG: the old left and new left. The old left is wedded to the common ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange initially of public services, utilities and quasi monopolies such as mail and broadband. They were historically close to the CPGB and now the CPB and quite Marxist. Socially they were very conservative and did not embrace issues such as gay rights and race equality until late in the day believing economic equality had to come first. They are usually opposed to the EU, isolationist and against strong defence. Since the 1980s they have been refreshed by the new left and draw on protest and multiculturalism. TBC. That’s from a conversation I’m having on Bluesky with a very smart social democrat. I’d be interested in Alexei’s opinion. I’d also be astonished to get a response.
I watched American Fiction, as you mentioned it, last time.. absolutely brilliant! Struggled with Withnail, but will try again.. Probably just not my cup of meat, but hey..
@ComradeFatBastard - The AK is in no way a copy of the StG. Kalashnikov freely admits to nicking the trigger system from the M1 Garand and the 2-lug rotating bolt system is a bit like a Garand. The long-stroke gas piston is a bit like a StG, but not original to the Stg (which is mechanically an upside down Bren gun). The Soviets had Hugo Schmeisser working for them so he may have developed Kalashnikov's original prototype. The two were working for different design bureaus in different places - so probably not. It's just people being racist about Slavs vs Germans.
The Ash Sarkar insulter was one of Lee Anderson's cronies 🙄 The validity of the protest can be judged by the fact that Nigel Farage was there in ludicrous corduroy and wellingtons. This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but a billionaire-serving grifter.
I think just oil protesters should not be sent to prison I can understand they could be a nuisance if you were going to work or taking your kids to school but they were bringing a very important subject to our attention
You should listen to one of Greg Proop's Film Club podcasts, which are quite short and then watch the film he introduces, great fun.

19:40 At last *a guest* - - *WILF!* 24:00 Guest cancelled! So much for free speech! Put an end to Catcel Culture now,
Aircraft are an uncountable noun, you can't go like aircrafts, unless you mean some specially sculpted 'planes and the tools you use to sculpt them like that. 49:41 That was obviously a numpty, and I'm glad they blew their own point by wittering on about schmiessers incorrectly, probably muddying their own waters referring to older guns, whereas that's not the case with the StK44, which was indeed copied by Kalashnikov. The StK44 was got at by using early focus groups. Before that the paradigm was to use rifles at long range and pick off the enemy at those longer ranges, say a Thousand meters with accurate rifle fire. By using these focus groups of soldiers, questionnaires and so on, stuff that was used after WWII as basic marketing or market research, it was discovered that most firefights took place at 4-500 meters, half the range and that an automatic capability was sometimes useful. So the StK44 was born as the first Assault rifle, and now used by all modern soldiers, so Kalashnikov was right to copy it first, and his design is the better known and more widely used for longer. I did that incidentally at uni, it was one of those unintentionally interesting moments that you get while there. We did the whole people watching thing in the UK, also as a similar mass psychological effort, to make sure people were not down in the dumps, rather, they could not be with a camera stuck in front of their faces, which gives birth to the documentary, but also those working class films about working class people being working class that we also did after the war. The yanks' mass psychology work was on why were they so soft and tend to cower in their foxholes, shooting on average 4 bullets per battle and only up in the air whenever an officer was nearby, to act busy. Crewed weapons did that a lot less and presto, the buddy system, still used today to make sure you don't skive. Pony and Trap = Crap. Don't forget the interesting '80s variation of "Macca", which was short for macaroni, to rhyme with pony, therefore a rhyme of the rhyme. The '80s was really meta and you should be going on about it a lot more and what bulwarks against Thatcherism we all were. People want to hear about that a lot more, probably. No one likes w*nksey because he's from Bristol, which has a really good graffiti scene of their own, don't they, so why does he need to come down here all the time, like Oasis came to Camden in the '90s and tried to showboat in our pubs, and we ignored them, because even the tramps roadied for Floyd before in Camden at the Roundhouse that time. The main reason why not is what he did to Robbo's piece along the canal, also in Camden, and you just don't do that, how people react to his pieces just adds to why he's not really liked in the big smoke and on that scene.
Check out the TH-cam video of Australian comedian, Norman Gunston, in the '70s interviewing Frank Zappa and doing an ad lib music piece with Zappa on guitar and Gunston on harmonica. Gunston was actor Garry McDonald
Alexei, you’ve been captured by the MSM portrayal of the farm's inheritance tax issue. Most farmers are not big landowners, but family businesses that by their nature are asset-heavy because you need land to produce food. Please educate yourself instead of being triggered by Clackson and the rest. This tax will drive family businesses down and favour the conglomerates.
The world would be a better place if The Alexei Sayle Podcast was more popular than Joe Rogan's show.
you wrote that incorrectly. let me fix it for you. "if the world were a better place, the alexei sayle podcast would be more popular than joe rogan's show" it's gotta happen that way around
@@caloriebuddy I see losses in that revision. You start on the conditional "If" - - a weaker, less compelling beginning. Original is conditional too but starts with a declarative with more momentum: "The world would be a better place". The original is better at scene-setting the writer's ideal. Your revision distances the ideal. Your revision is slower, & that comma is complacent in thinking you've said enough to hook the reader prior to the pause. In fact you're leading with a trite "If the world were a better place..." as if you were in a Post Office queue to pick up your state pension passing the time with small talk - - "Mussent grumble." So I'm hoping you're not an editor, wrecking somebody's publishing output. I prefer: "If the Alexei Sale podcast was more popular than Jesus, it would be safe to tour Texas, but now it's all this."
Looking forward to hearing about planes, including those passenger planes that crashed due to window design, and the inevitable cover-up.
Richard Wolff, left economist in the US has a great video on TH-cam about democratising economies. He cited a region in Northern Spain that regenerated a region led by a priest who created a cooperative. They are now a major success model Nationally
Mondragon in the Basque Country
@larskirk6268 Thanks for the name. It is held up as a good example of a democratised economic model that works
Alexei and Talal; did you see that documentary about the Loaded Mag culture of 1990's that was on that BBC2 last night? I felt it was even worse for sexism than what Benny Hill ever did. If you have sisters and mothers, Don't do sexist "jokes" If you don't have sisters and mothers, don't do sexist jokes! These our are givers of life ffs. Apologists like Baddiel were on it and others noted by their absence from that 1990's shit sow. Do you feel that those great and honourable battles against sexism and racism that you and others artistically stood against made a difference or did they just shift elsewhere? Keep doing what you're doing. I feel like am gonna have to pay for this rant. And I Wilf.
And put "Consider buying us a coffee" more prominent in you posts and people may well do that. (I owe you two covfefes)
I just saw a TH-cam video of David Ike showing a site on the Isle of Wight where they do Satanic rituals. How dark is your comedy?

Hello Wilf👋👋👋👋
I do not believe that Bruce Springsteen is a reactionary. After 9/11 he incorporated musicians from Pakistan to play on his 2002 album The Rising.
new bond film name?
Never Say Never Again II
Why did you slag off Bruce Springsteen's support for Harris in your last podcast? If you knew anything about him, he is for the left wing and has been called "communist XYZ" all over the net by US right wing reactionaries. I liked your Bruce Springsteen parodies in your BBC shows but he is probably more left wing than you are(With respect) Please review your nastiness about Bruce Springsteen. Much love to you and Talal. I hope to see you both in Liverpool at reasonably priced tickets.
Shocking anti-boss podcast! 😢😢
the u.s. right would call hitler or satan commies. means sweet fanny adams.
if corbyn supported harris i would even slag him off. if sayle supported harris i'd migrate to switzerland more quickly
Do what mate? Springsteen might be a leftie by US standards, but the entire rest of the world is left wing by US standards.
Early start.

Mentioning the BBC2 Play from 1990 where Alexei played the radio presenter in Sheffield, I had a look through his filmography. "Rhinoceros Hunting in Budapest" - two bloody hours of my life I'll never get back. 😮😅 Were all the cast on drugs or drunk, or both? 😮 I reckon a lot of Pálinka was drank in the dressing room.
