To Mrs Hood …What if a bus in front of you has a stop . Do you put your amber lights on ? Do you open your door with the red lights on . I know that Long Island when they have a bus in front that has a stop every single bus behind and if there’s a bus across on the other side of the road should put there ambers on sometimes every there red lights and stop signs .

I am trying to restart my channel, but I too am having computer problems. My old laptop didn't die but is acting so weird it is unusable, and my backup has this weird thing where it will stop doing anything till the fan speeds up so fast you think it's coming through the case then it settles down and goes back to working like normal. Maybe you can get you a new one next month and I can by June. So you are not alone with troublesome tech. Just glad to see you are ok. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and Hope you have a Merry Christmas.

This had me laughing because I literally just got hired today to become a first time bus driver and I felt her lol I know I’m going to panick 😂but I’m excited ❤

I’m from Wilmore Ky and I love the town I hope they do the revival every year I hope it keeps going

I’m not really much of a fan with the ic’s but I kinda like the older ones but I have to admit this one is pretty cool! I also like the new next gen IC bus that international released (2025 model year) I think it’s the first bus with led headlights standard (unless the Thomas c2 went led)

Last year we had a 2020 bluebird vision propane as our route bus. There was one window in the back I remember every time you roll it up the left top latch never worked and it would leak water in if it rained a certain way. We now have a brand new (only 300 miles) 2024 Bluebird vision (also propane) with a v8 Godzilla instead of a v10 triton so it’s much more powerful and we thankfully have windows that latch properly lol. I’ve always had problems with those window switches so a trick I learned is if you push the window up from the middle on the top it’s a lot easier than trying to mess with the switches to get them up.

fyi, wanna lose some weihgt, cut back on the diabees water!aka (soda pop)!,btw awesome video.

I usually go grab something to eat and then stick around the yard. I sign up for a lot of field trips. Occasionally I will shop, or work in my office at the church.

Good to hear from you, Miss Hood! I turned 65 last autumn, and joined you in wonderful retirement-land. It is frikkin' PARADISE! Don't have to tell you, of course. When I left, Wilhoit was down to 32 drivers, believe it or not! Don't know HOW they are keeping it together.

I was sitting at my computer today thinking to my self, I wonder how Miss Hood is doing and if she has posted so I had to come and find out. Hope you are doing well. So good to see your videso again! Do you sub for other bus drivers after retirement

Here is a little trivia for you, my dad started working for Thomas Built buses back I think in 1968. He worked delivering the buses all over N America for years and us boys worked doing it as well. My dad drove school bus delivering kids as well for a number of years before he worked for Thomas Bus. He did not like how people had a hard time seeing the not so bright flashing lights and made a suggestion to Thomas Bus that they needed to start using sealed beams instead of the typical tail light bulb in the big flashers. They took his advice and redesigned the lights and started using sealed beams. Next thing you knew everyone was using them. I have not looked at a bus light up close now for many years. I wonder if they use LED's now?

Having worked at Thomas Built Busses in Woodstock Ontario there is one purpose for those "rub" rails and it is to increase the strength of the side of the bus for side impact damage protection. A bent piece of metal is much stronger than a flat one. Of course when they stick out and if you rub something they will rub first, you can also use them as a back scratcher but their primary purpose is just as a stiffener. They have absolutely nothing to do with markings for where the fire fighters should cut.
