LLMC aims to promote and preserve the folk music of Gilgit-Baltistan through performance, education, research, and archiving. This institution has engaged youth in learning music regardless of gender and race.

Persian Qasida is known all over Central Asia. In Gilgit-Baltistan, it is performed in a unique form.
The aim of this recording and performance was to document this Qasida as a part of the devotional music practiced in Gilgit-Baltistan.
