Regarding the seemingly unexplainable itching, I experience it too, on occasion. One thing that will alleviate all that random itching is not to take too many hot showers, as that dries your skin and causes itching. And you don't have to apologize, my friend!! Congrats! Next stop: the Elite 4! Yeah, I noticed that thing about "super effective" attacks being a little wonky when I played Blue a while ago as well. I guess if one type is super effective and the other isn't, it still just calls it super effective even though it should do neutral damage. Maybe it still does neutral damage anyway and it just says otherwise, who knows. Just a quirk of old Pokemon games.

If I recall, you have to throw the Goron into the lava. When he starts rolling at you, try catching him and tossing him like all those Gorons who rolled at you on your way up Death Mountain.

Man, it's been a long time since I played this one!! Since you've never played a Star Ocean game before, you'll probably want to leave battle targeting on auto, just until you get used to the style of combat. I don't remember what battle camera mode is, to be honest. I would definitely leave the vibration on because some of those spells are freaking awesome and intense! I'd leave the events on, and don't skip them. You'll gain a better understanding of the story.
