I have one of those. I got it from my grandfather, who inherited it from his dad. His dad won it in a turkey shoot. It has a full length barrel. I think they were made between 1911-1936. That one looks sawed off.

Learn to work on your Jeep buddy and you can save enough money to do it yourself. I’m a 5 foot nothing mom that can lift a Jeep. Lay off the stickers and at least put some all terrains on those wheels. Your bug out vehicle will be nothing if you can’t get off a gravel road. Learn the limitations of your stock JKU. It’s extremely capable with a decent set of tires.

no high lift jack, no blowtorch or fire extinguisher for fires, or working on seized parts, no tools other than combat only items, to crowbar to check for sway or loose undercarriage components, no wrenches or ratchet sets, no breaker bar for seize tire nuts, no ax, hatchet, or shovel for blocked paths, or stuck tires, no wire cutters or similar things for cabling issues, or wired obstacles, dude, you can have all the stock in the world, but if you don't have the tools to back you up, you're in nothing but a fancy defensive cerial box that has no capability to get past anything it can't crawl over..

That particular model of a JC Higgins model 20 in 12 gauge was probably made around 1968 to the early 1970s earlier models like the one I have the Deluxe model 20 which was built in 1949 has a power pack choke system in my case I have the long-range choke on my particular model and a vent rib barrel with a 3+1 plus one in the pipe however what I've been hearing is that Mossberg 500 shell tubes May interface with the fittings on the JC Higgins..... thus increasing the capacity to a 7 + 1. But Nordic Engineering maybe able to do a long tube for it. The shotgun itself was originally made by the high standard company based in Hamden Connecticut the company was founded in the 1920s and then later acquired by Texas conglomerate and then moved over to Texas still on the contract with Sears and Roebuck up until the latter part of the 1980s as you know Sears started phasing out shotgun sales due to political and anti-gun climate of the times... However if you look at smaller gun dealers you may be able to acquire one for roughly under $130 the one that I have in particular was in very good condition and I only paid $120 for it.. I'm looking to do a poor man's budget self defense platform with the JC Higgins with some modifications that I'm still developing as soon as I finally faze in the new design I'll featured in an updated video on my TH-cam channel

Mine has a great pattern. Buckshot.birdshot...I have shot couple slugs..mine is full choke. ( no rib sight.no adjustable. Choke on it.says full.on side of gun) Now..I wouldnt fire any steel shot from these older shotguns.

I have one passed down from my dad to me, witnessed shooting matches won, deer dropped, Yes you can shoot high brass shells, Mine has a 28" barrel fixed choke, always figured it was full because it shot bird shot so damn tight, but anyway, good all steel shotgun, should be great for Turkey, Pattern it. My dad hunted with #4 bird. copper clad shot was deadly in this gun.
