@jenny_readss I am a mood reader. But worth a try, as my focus this year is to tackle the TBR X Bunny was a gift so I forced myself to finish it, the constant use of 'bunny' really got on my nerves.

I agree I think you will end up dnfing it as it really is crap, if you have A curse of blood and wolves that is diabolical and an utter waste of time. Even the audiobook is enough to make you want to Van Gogh your own ears especially with the pathetic growl noise every five minutes

My sister didn't enjoy it, it's on myshef an now reluctant yo pick it up

@ I am so glad our reading is in line with each other. The audiobook was awful and even reading it was painful

Loved Alone with you in the Ether, it’s a different kind of story but I did really love it. It is nowhere near as difficult to read as Masters of Death x

I have brought Binding 13 so possible buddy read there to get us through it

I will buddy read Empire of Damned to make sure you do it as new book out in November

You can easy do those and tick off all those goals, I can help. I have a list forming still but am about sorted on that one.

Oh Jen don’t say your life is boring, I would watch walks with Bracken etc With book box battle you could have a jar for one subscription box and a jar for another and battle them on everything…appearance, quality, artwork, the story itself and your whole experience. Then you would read two books from sub boxes each week. With your older books you could do Backlist Blow Out to help move your older books x

With your Arcs, become the Arc Assassin and each month get books off your shelves that way. Create your own bingo board or adapt someone else’s to fit your need, then each month your monthly TBR can cover books to tick all the areas off that you want to cover.

Scrap your TBR game, I love the Jen’s Jenga but to fit your reading needs so you get through the books something has to change so you do stick to and enjoy your monthly reads…I will get my thinking cap on x ☕️🫖

Noooo don’t read Song of Achilles, I thought Circe was boring and it dragged like hell. Each to their own of course. I can’t see her writing change, if you can grin and bear it then give it a bash but I wouldn’t do it…bugger that 😂

I love middle grade books as you might know, Crowfall is good but that and the sequel do read quite young, they are not the same as the reading experience of Brightstorm trilogy. Definitely give it a go as it is good

Oh Jenny you NEED to read Dark Matter, it is fast paced and bloody great 👍🏼 I loved it. I really found it a cracking read

It is easily Crouch’s best book he has written, go for the audiobook

With Onyx Storm honestly keep the faith, she knows where she went wrong with Iron Flame and she is vowing to make Onyx Storm absolutely slap 🎉

VE Schwab, her stand alone books are outstanding, I think they are better than her major series. Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil is about toxic lesbian vampires spread over three main characters and over three different time lines, the anticipation is high for this one x

I agree with you about Audiobooks, some books they throw everything in to them and they are all singing all dancing. Are there better ones, yes definitely but I’m with you I don’t think any of them are great
