TRAXXAS RUSTLER VXL -/- BANDIT VXL -/- SLO-MO SHOTS

Running my Traxxas rustler VXL and my friends Traxxas bandit vxl. It’s my first video but hope you think it is pretty neat.
Hows the pigment in this stuff? Im trying to get a good match to blend with the oem frame finish which is gloss black. All other 2k aerosol products I've tried either have that grayish sheen to it or not glossy enough for my project. I guess my question here is it black or it has that blue or gray tint to it?
It’s about 4 years, did you use an Eastwood base coat or did you use another brand? How is it holding up? Thanks Mac
I did my 84 twn car frame Duct tape the Holes in the Bottom of the frame so product won't droop out
What primer did you use on the frame. You said a 2k primer, but which one?
probably the same brand as the paint, eastwood has 2k primer too
Eastwood use to sell those in the quart can that you would apply using the HVLP spray gun and of course its a two part mixing process where you add activator to the paint that catalyst the paint that gives that harden texture when the paint dries. You save more material on the quart cans and less expensive vs using the areosol way. Don't get me wrong the aerosol cans are ok if you don't have access or own a spray gun and air compressor set up for it but traditionally and the more professional way is to use a HVLP gravity fed spray gun.
How much time in between coats did you do ?
Wow nice job
I think this would work great if u have the frame acid dipped then paint it and do the inside with this stuff
Can we get a 3 year review on the product? I never see a long term review.
Just a heads up. Eastwood epoxy primer contains isocyanates. You’ll want a carbon filter respirator at the least and better with a supplied air respirator
Can we get a update of the 2K Epoxy paint, hold up well?
Why not shoot 2k via hlvp for far less cost.
What’s hlvp?
@@64sweptlineregular spray gun...high volume low pressure
He probably meant HVLP meaning high volume low pressure gravity fed spray gun.@@64sweptline
Thaty would be much cheaper than cans.
I'm debating this for the inside of the frame of my 51 Dodge b3b... decisions
How’s it holding up after 2 years?
Put masking tape over the holes
I used a coat hanger and taped it with the flex line and taped all the holes. 74 bug and coated heater channels and shifter tunnel.
Tape wire hanger to tube
I got 5 days out of a can because it was stored in the fridge.
does ceramic mean it doesn't scratch as easy?
Any updates now that it’s been a year later? How’s the finish? Did it hold up? Etc.
Did you use a respirator when you were spraying it. Wondering how strong the smell is?
I did. It kinda smells toxic. I personally would
great video
Hey just wanted to say I really appreciate your review on this product I've been on the fence about it but I'm spending way too much time building a custom frame.... And I can't use a sprayer your car looks great I'm sold I'll be doing this to mine too thanks again
I was wondering how it fit 🤔does it need a total modification?
So.... how'd you like it?
Your idea of straightening the extension hose with a hair dry dryer is brilliant! It took me about 10 minutes to go back and forth along the hose, but now it is straight like needle.
Hey Redline, Thanks for the honest, straight forward no BS review. I'm almost at the paint stage for my Crew Cab conversion frame part of my project. I agree with Rich and you with all the hard work cleaning and prepping to use a cheap product and be disappointed with the end result months later. Thanks. Thumbs Up !
How many coats are recommended for the frame? Also how many cans? What did you finish with afterwards? Cheers
Agree about the hours stripping wire brushing etc, but it’s damned expensive
Yowswers. No Resp mask for the tank spray job.
Did 1 can do both of those jobs? Or was 1 can empty by the time the gas tank was painted
It took more than just the one can
Thanks for the tip. The Eastwood video says to tape all of the holes.
Naaa I’ve used it before with great results. I just put a tarp down so it doesn’t weep out on my driveway. I like to see that it came out of the holes So I put enough in the area.
Hello , is this product made of Rubberized anti rust ?
Construction sites are awesome! Good run!
The production quality on these is amazing! Love the new music, keep it up!
Thanks
Cut the music and get something originall. Otherwise great video!
Awesome video! I subscribed! How did your diff break?
Idk I took off and it made a loud noise I looked in the diff housing and one of the gears had a few stripped teeth. It was okay though because I had a spare and got it fixed in no time.
Nice scab
Great bashing session! Brilliant location for it, trucks look so cool on loose dirt! Awesome video, liked and subbed!!!
Thank you so much
