My theory : Berlin and the professor’s parents met in university and deeply loved each other but the problem is that they came from different social status : their father came from a rather modest world with a former war veteran from WW2 and whose wife died during the war while their mom was from an old and wealthy family who did not accept their relationship at all ! So they started to date in secret without anyone knowing anything about it…until their mom accidentally got pregnant with their first child (Berlin) and thus they had no choice but to reveal their relationship to the professor and Berlin’s maternal grandparents since the parents couldn’t hide the mom’s pregnancy ! The mom’s parents were horrified when they learned that their daughter got pregnant with a man from lower class and threatened her to abort but the young couple really wanted to keep the child and promised to the snobbish parents that they are both grown adults and old enough to take care of a child and be good parents ! So the mom’s parents ended up accepting the couple’s decision but to one condition : the baby’s last name had to be his mother’s so that their wealthy bloodline continued and the couple had no choice but to accept it (which is why Berlin don’t share the professor’s last name). Their mom already told their dad about her terminal illness and health problems during their secret meetings but apparently her disability didn’t seemed to bother him at all even if their first son inherited the mom’s terminal illness but they didn’t know about it (Berlin inheriting his mom’s illness) and after she gave birth to Berlin, their mom was in pretty good health. One year later after Andres/Berlin’s birth the couple finally got graduated they decided to marry each other much to their mom’s parents disappointment which lead her to definitely cut ties with her parents and family and the three (Berlin and their parents) lived a modest but nice life until the mom got pregnant with their second child (Sergio/Professor) when Andres/Berlin was 4 years old. At first it was a good new for the family but unfortunately after the mom gave birth to the professor, her terminal illness as well as her health problems caught up with her which led to her death after giving birth to Sergio. With his wife gone, the dad had to earn money alone by himself so he didn’t have much time to take care of his two sons which led the dad to ask his sons paternal grandfather to take care of his sons while he worked hard everyday to provide for his children ! However, unlike their (Sergio and Andres) maternal grandparents their paternal grandfather had nothing against his son’s relationship with their grandsons mother and had a close relationship with Andres and Sergio. Being a former WW2 veteran who fought against Italy’s fascist regime, the latter always tells his grandsons stories about the war as well as his and his comrades soldiers exploits ! He also taught them the song « Bella Ciao » and shared great times singing this song ! However, when Sergio was 3 he started to suffer from many health problems due to their life conditions in poverty so they immediately had to take him to the hospital and Sergio wasn’t allowed to leave the hospital until their father was able to pay for the treatment. However the treatment’s cost was too high and basically double of their father’s annual salary if not even more and their grandfather started to suffer from dementia due to old age. Their dad knew that their grandfather would not be able to take care of his sons for a long time anymore so he had no choice but to get into robbery and turn into a life of crime in order to be able to pay for his youngest son’s treatment ! But since he also didn’t want his sons to get through the same financial issues as him he also taught his two sons about his robbing plans and stories about robbers with heart of gold teaching them that the true villain was a capitalist system that would continue to exploit the honest and hard working people and giving them a low salary. According to him, theft was the only way to truly become rich and not having to be exploited by the system again ! But he also had important moral codes such as not killing people since according to him, a good robber shouldn’t act like a bloodthirsty monster but as a person who’s just trying to survive a corrupt system. But the day when the great misfortune happened arrived : it all started as usual where their dad was trying to rob a bank in order to provide enough money for his youngest son’s treatment, he brutally got shot by a cop after being caught by the authorities. After that, the two brothers learned their father’s tragic death in a different way : the professor who was 6 years old (and lived 3 years in the hospital) didn’t understand what happened to his father at first but after the doctors explained it to him, the young Sergio became devastated and tried to join his father but he wasn’t allowed to leave the hospital and unfortunately Andres was no better able to access the place of his father's death ! To resume, he learned that event because of his paternal grandfather who came into his school during class out of breath telling him: “your father has been seriously injured”. Panicked the young Andres ran out of school in order to at least be able to see his father’s body but when he arrived it was too late and their father died after succumbing to his injuries with his oldest son witnessing the tragedy with his eyes full of tears and his heart full of despair. Even the hospital couldn’t do anything to save their dad but worse of all none of the brothers could assist to the trial against the cop who shot their father because the court deemed them too young to testimony against their dad’s killer whether they were sick or not and also because since the culprit was a cop the words of two kids, specifically two sons of a man guilty a robbery would lose against an authority figure’s one’s. But what was more shocking is that after the trial, the cop didn’t receive any sentence for his murder and was declared innocent as he proclaimed to the court that Sergio and Andres father was about to shoot the cops which led the cop killing their dad in self defense. And of course, since the victim was a robber and the killer a cop, that fake (the dad had strong ethics about not killing people and actually it was the cop who cowardly shot at the dad) declaration was considered as the truth by the court. Since their grandpa was considered unfit to take custody of his now orphaned grandsons, Berlin/Andres was sent to an orphanage (his maternal grandparents were able to take his custody but refused even if he had their last name since their daughter had now taken the last name of a lower class man and cut ties with them in order to marry him, so they considered Andres as an « illegitimate child » now) and since Sergio/Professor had health problems, he was forced to stay in the hospital. To conclude, this series of events led to the separation of the brothers as if they weren’t traumatized enough by their father’s death. Thus, the two brothers evolved very differently : while Sergio continued to read and learn his father’s plan of robbing the royal mint of Spain he left to his youngest son in the hospital in order to honor his father’s legacy and be the one to accomplish this ambitious heist, Andres trauma of his father being shot by a cop who wasn’t punished and be separated from his whole family made him develop NPD (narcissistic personality disorder) : now that he was an orphan with no family, he learned to rely only on himself to survive and manipulate others in order to not being taken advantage of and getting what he wants ! It was : kill or be killed ! But the fact that his father’s killer was not punished or considered as a villain by society for his crime due to his status as a cop fluctuated his moral senses as well as his vision about the distinction of good and evil. « Dad taught us that theft doesn’t harm anyone as long as you don’t threaten others life or you don’t kill them…but if killing others is wrong why did that cop murdered our father ? Aren’t the cops supposed to protect people ? And if a cop can get away with murder why couldn’t anyone else get away with murder ? In the end, good and evil are just imaginary concepts invented by some powerful systems to gaslight people ! And maybe if dad didn’t follow those moral ethics about not killing people, he wouldn’t be dead ! I’m sorry dad, but I won’t follow those moral rules if a cop tries to murder me during a robbery and I’ll kill him first before he is able to do it to me ! If the cops are allowed to kill people then robbers should be allowed as well » (1)

Esta escena golpea tan fuerte porque a Lucrecia no le importa nadie, especialmente Samu, y probablemente no estaría cerca de él y Samu se siente sin darse cuenta de que Lulu le va a hablar, la chica más popular, pero la canción es muy buena y su imaginación y sus pensamientos lo tienen en fantasía sobre cualquier cosa, pero la realidad de su existencia es arruinada por ella con una escena tan poderosa 😢

Hmm. Watched it few months ago. I like director of the drama. Plot of this drama was good but whole romance sucked hard. I didn't feel there is anything between them despite they show it to me, their path of getting to like each other was non-existant, they just thrown this information to us. So the biggest problem that scenes were without passion. Worst part is growing drama between them. They were talking about how one or other has to apologize or fix things or take a beating while I was not aware what was the problem and especially I couldn't understand how male MC is related to her work problems and why he felt guilty towards those problems. Anyway, I was disappointed when I watched and I forced myself to finish it despite not having any interest

This was the last season that was worth watching...after the departure of Lu and Carla's characters the show lost its charm and went downhill
