What a bad, misguided person! He resigned from being Israel ambassador embittered because Israel did not agree to employ his wife as a translator and chose to become an American ..leaving Israel nearly 50 years ago! What a horrible person to describe a criminal policy to Israel's leaders and army. I don't doubt that in his crazy life he has made many misjudgments. And caused wrongful accusations and wrongfully granted acquittals. A strange and bad person. Traitor to his people. Morally flawed. Spit out by his people. Outcast. Scoundrel.

The idea of tutoring is very stupid. Anyone who is older than 18 should have the ability to learn independently. The undergraduate level courses are not difficult at all, so every single college student should start to learn how to teach themselves. Nobody will teach you once you graduate and join the workforce. Being over 18 years old means you are an adult, not a 8 years old child.

No one cares Ian. More to the point they don't care about people who make stuff up as they go along and there have been too many of those who've seen political or financial advantage in scaring the crap out of everyone. While not directly related, take for example the "talking up" to a WW3 scenario we're seeing because of a spat in the Ukraine. I trust the data provided by field research however combining so many data streams into a model accurate enough to predict has infinite variables and as we've seen, has been misused to make wild assertions that discredit all climate change concerns. No one believes you apart from the lunatics who disrupt traffic and certainly not governments who collectively have done next to nothing but lie. Bringing the packaging industry to it's knees or banning the disposable crap that comes from China at Easter, Halloween, Christmas and every other day of the year would have massive benefit. I recall reading a good part of a 600 page IPCC report where a section of it stated that conclusions were being distorted because there were TOO MANY data streams to model and would have to be reduced to get more accurate results. Who makes those decisions, what is their motive and how can you even begin to know the effect of switching data in what is a new science? How would you be remotely qualified to make that determination? Physics has had ground breaking individuals like Einstein, Planck and Bhor. Mathematics could claim Penrose in our lifetime and cosmology Hawking. In the field of climatology however, no individual has achieved very much at all and that's not surprising given that data fed into a "woolly" machine gives, at best, woolly answers. If predictions made by many models are correct, then we're already past the point of recovery, even before the third and developing world becomes industrialised. If the models are wrong, then their economies will rise above our own as they'll undercut us due to lower productions costs in every area, something we see so often already. One of the worst tactics used is claiming weather events to reinforce doomsday predictions. If a long established science such as meteorology is so bad at prediction, what faith could support the claims of "new-age" climatologists who let's be honest, are politicians as opposed to academics. It's a cheap trick reliant upon the short memories most seem to have and one Boris Johnson used many times to get himself from one scrape to the next.

I am a graduate of staircase 8. I pretended to study at Trinity between 1974-8. Although we had the JCR back then, the main student area was the beer cellar. It was during my penultimate year that the JCR and the MCR voted to admit women. The senior common room at that time wanted the college to remain a male only institution. What has changed most at Trinity is the amount of installed security. Locked gates all around. Locked doors on all staircases. In the early 1970s you could pretty much go anywhere in the university without being challenged by anybody. Back then it was only bicycles that were stolen. But of course, we didn't have all the valuable modern technology which is now an essential part of student life. Among the many friends I had at Oxford I was honoured to have known Craig Masbach - the first student at Oxford to match Roger Bannister's effort of a sub 4 minute mile and Edgar Graham - who became a highly respected Northern Ireland politician who sadly was assassinated by the provisional IRA. I was also at Trinity at the same time as Peter Levine. I never expected he would do so well for himself - and many thanks to him for his enormous contribution to the college.

Trinity is one of the 39 constituent colleges of the University of Oxford. Oxford is, essentially, a federation made up of the colleges (as is the University of Cambridge). Every student is a member of a college. You live in the college, eat in the dining hall (if you want to), and socialise in the common rooms and bar. Each college also has a library where you can study (you can also use the gigantic Bodleian Library, which is the main University library). For your studies you will also be part of a faculty - history, physics, modern languages, and so on - teaching will take place, primarily, in the college, with tutors who are also members of the college called "fellows", and also in the faculty for larger lectures. If you are thinking of studying at Oxford, you apply through the University of Oxford but will be asked, as part of the application process, which college you would like to be part of.

A very warm, encouraging and informative video for anyone considering entering Trinity as their college of choice. As a retired Fellow of Merton College, Oxford, whose qualifying years, undergrad to doctorate were in the 1960`s/1970`s I applaud the many and significant changes that University Oxford has undertaken, not the least in presenting study opportunities for an ever wider range of prospective students from a variety of backgrounds. I suppose I have been one of the ' posh ' people mentioned here, perhaps from a more advantageous background - but I never, ever considered myself superior in any way, and later, as a tutor I always offered and provided whatever encouragement a student required to succeed, regardless of how they spoke, or where they came from - and I would like to believe that such labels as ' posh ' are by now completely irrelevant :) A well presented video, top marks to all those involved !

Trinity, an attractive College in every regard. With nearly four decades as an Oxford academic, I have some familiarity with Trinity, but please excuse me ( and only an observation ) for others viewing this video, they would leave it at the end with no more knowledge or understanding of it`s history or place in Oxford than when they began. The music, I suppose is pleasant enough and benign, but an attempt at some useful commentary would perhaps have been a good idea :)

With a subject like Mathematics, you can look at the lecure notes and text-books that are set for the First Year Exam (i.e. Prelims) and get to grips with the material. I would suspect that it's quite a bit less clear-cut with Arts subjects and you'd be better off just getting in first time of asking. I went next door for Modern Languages and it was all about raw talent and imagination ; thinking on the spot in the moment. And a bit of luck.

You should apply due to the great stories given here, although this video is produced to show the best side of the organization. Then, if you are a foreing candidate who is studing hard to achieve the Trinity tittle, you should know that your pocket is going to be squandered. The procedure of this organization is nothing but opaque. Not only are the writen text hold in their offices, but the grades are also deployed according to their own interest. Overall, the remarkable illusion created through the freshness of youth is the psichological weapon that Trinity uses to convey a stereotiped image. Please, I suggest to research about those annoyed candidates from everywhere that are not able to pass a exam which never is revealed.
