I’m noticing trends on high end speakers…. Line arrays; WMTMW; multiple tweeters, mids, and woofer drivers; large and heavy; rear facing mid drivers; unique shapes; high end finishes; inside they have very high end crossovers or no crossovers at all; driven by super amps. McIntosh and Tekton Design have speakers with similar technical designs.

Szanowna Pani. System piękny, kosztowny i powinien pięknie grać. Niestety bez odpowiedniej adaptacji akustycznej pomieszczenia odsłuchowego muzyka brzmi fatalnie: pogłos, echo, niespójne brzmienie oraz wyeksponowane wysokie częstotliwości. Po prostu zmarnowany potencjał i pieniądze. Oto co jest nieprawidłowe: gołe podłogi i ściany, za kolumnami szklane lub gołe powierzchnie ścian oraz szklany stolik przed miejscem odsłuchowym. Te szyby mogą popękać i stanowią powierznię odbijającą falę dźwiękową, która najpierw dociera do słuchacza a później z głośników. Jeżeli jest pani zainteresowana moją pomocą, doradztwem to chętnie podzielę się moim ponad 30-letnim doświadczeniem. W innym komentarzu napisałem o prawidłowym podłączaniu kabli zasilających i głośnikowych. Moim zdaniem do takiego sprzętu kolumny ProAc Tablette to za mało. Jeżeli lubi i ceni Pani angielskie kolumny to polecam ProAc Response DTwoR (Ribbon). Nie będzie potrzebny żaden subwoofer oraz, co bardzo ważne, te kolumny mają otwór bass refleks skierowany do przodu - idealne rozwiązanie do małych pomieszczeń. Pozdrawiam Przemek z Sopotu (Polska).

Dwie zasadnicze audifilskie uwagi: pani nieprawidłowo podłączyła kable zasilające - trzeba zawsze sprawdzić polaryzację kabli przed podłączeniem do urządzenia. Poza tym najpierw podłącza się kable zasilające do ściany, sprawdza polaryzację, sprawdza urządzenia czy są wyłaczone, odłączone od prądu umieszczonym z tyłu wyłącznikiem i dopiero podłącza kabel zasilający. Następnie uruchamia się ten włącznik i przednie zasilanie. Przy którymś takim nieprawidłowym procesie podłączania sprzęt huknie i się spali. Trzeba uważać. Poza tym również źle podłączyła kable głośnikowe do kolumn. Jeżeli kolumny są dwudrożne ProAc to należy kable w układzie full range podłączyć na krzyż: plus u góry, minus na dole - tak mówi instrukcja Audioquest - wtedy prawidłowo płynie prąd przez zwrotnice w kolumnach. W przypadku kolumn trójdrożnych kable głośnikowe w układzie full range podłącza się do gniazd górnych. Ostatnia, bardzo ważna, uwaga: pomieszczenie odsłuchowe pozbawione adaptacji akustycznej (gołe ściany, podłoga, za klumnami szklane szafki). Efekt: pogłos, echo, dominujące wysokie tony - zupełny brak spójności brzmienia. To typowy przykład jak można piękny i drogi system zmusić do fatalnego grania muzyki. Doradzam popracowanie nad właściwą adaptacją pomieszczenia odsłuchowgo np. panelami binarnymi. Pozdrawiam Przemek z Sopotu (Polska).

Nice rog but your room looks really 'live' so some room treatments could really pay dividends and would be worth the investment with that system.

Lovely system, having had Proac response 1s before, I suggest maybe a Rel Classic sub would enhance the bass and soundstage as well as compliment the look.

Love the Jadis amplifier, the ProAc are classics, though todays Tablet 10 signature model is a different beast to that of 35 years ago. Never listened to the MBL CD systems. Here you are running a low sensitivity, low bass power, low volume speaker worth around £1200 with Transparent Audio Ultra speaker cable that retails at around £4500 for an 8ft pair, with a once £5700 (2011) Jadis integrated that has 30w output. Looks like the £6500 MBL C31 CD player. Don't get me wrong, I have been into audio for decades, but the cable myths have been truly busted in many ways, I didnt mind the old 10% rule, I have ran some expensive cables, I have found most of it was nonsense, and when million dollar mastering studios do not use such cables for critical mastering, and as science and engineering has came in to show the measurements of audiofool cables and stated these differences are so small we cannot justify it, well it's beyond me why anyone would put so much budget into cables to run stunning but limited kit in such a reflective room. Even funnier is we all know what is behind those mains sockets on the wall, some of us even know the wiring within Jadis and ProAc It's not audiophile, its looking more like how much I can spend to get a nice looking hifi. Your cabling loom is probably as costly as the electronics, going into one of the smallest cheapest entry level high end speakers available. It makes no sense. The speaker is great, its not £4500+ speaker cable great.

Hmm... I'm jealous. Seeing your cables and sources, it seems like you're very sensitive to sound. I recommend switching from Inter Cable to XLR Cable for a different Volume and Dimensionality. Also, consider Bi Wiring for connecting to the speakers if possible. I also use the Siltech Legend 880Xi. However, there is a significant difference in sound between RCA and XLR connections.

You would think B&W would put some effort into designing a new flagship speaker considering how old this one is and the fact that Mr. Dickie (the nautilus' designer) has been running Vivid for what seems like two decades now.

The mains cables probably cost more than the ProAc speakers.

Ultimately, it's the speaker in my phone . Wilson or LG all sounds the same on my Samsung.
