Some shots while I was up in Sudbury. Trains seemed to be where I wasn't for most of my visit. Interesting stuff in the yard. Very windy. Enjoy

A couple of freights, 2 VIA passenger trains and GO mixed in. The view at Bayview is not as good in the afternoon but still OK. 1st CN Freight had a heavy duty 4 truck depressed flatcar. The second last GO train had an unusual lighting as the headlights and the red marker lights were on. Not sure why that was. Enjoy.

Caught some nice trains this morning. Twice we had trains on all three lines. CN 421 (606 axles) with a midtrain helper, CN422 and another freight. AMTRAK 108 was one of their 50th Anniversary units. Enjoy

So who is this Walter guy? I’ve seen the name before.
Thanks for sharing your trip Walter. Always interesting videos without music! A treat.
Thanks for the excellent view of Bayview Junction activity Walter. You must have spent a major part of the day to capture all of that. The GO movements over the three tracks and those S curves is particularly notable. Good work!
Great stuff. I haven't been there in ages.
Bravo
So great that this historic railroad is rising like a phoenix from the ashes of dereliction. Well done to all who work tirelessly on this magnificent historical railroad.
I wanna see how fast a train can run through those complicated octopus switches
time traveling ............
Several of my MR-mates attended last weeks NG Convention and the visit to the EBT was certainly a highlight ! The work that has been carried out on the EBT and continues; is indeed laudable and impressive ! PS : The title's date is a typo-error unless you have managed to travel a year into the future ! 😉
Oops. Will have to fix that Thanks
Great video!! Lots of diverse action! Nice locations, cool shots!! Thanks so much mr
Glad you enjoyed!
Awesome video!
Thanks!
What gauge is this railroad? I'm guessing that it's narrower than Cape gauge. 3ft (915mm) perhaps?
42” gauge
@@123selkirk Thanks.
Great video!
Thanks
Wow
Nice footage , I’m just heading out now with Moorea Blue Diving to see these .
It was great running into you at Bayview. What a perfect day for trains!
Great video by the way!
Thanks!
Please come check out lucastrainverse
Great video with 3 trains
Wow it’s amazing how you caught 3 trains at once. Not once but two times! Now that’s rare.
2:43 VIA 70 or 72?
Not sure. Sorry
i like mp54 better then mp40
Flamengo vai Amtrak AFAIK o do carro da torcida no primeiro 6 😊
made in china?
Great video. Impressive high speed commuting.
Well done
Impressive
Cool. Looks like you were on the 5:00 PM? departure which would have been the last of the day considering you had two meets at Clifton and then one at Glacier. 104 was behind the 73 to supply air for a test fire about that time. Your extra footage shows the 9:00 AM repositioning from the “back track” to Longsiding just after the 8:00 AM train left from that location. The yard crew puts the train consists down early in the morning and then the road crews pick up their trains from the originating docks. If I’m not wrong you would have probably ridden that train later in the day.
25:51 where was that horn from?
There was some construction nearby. Could have been a truck horn
Mmhm
That's a k5la, probably from an earlier GO Cabcar or P42DC
Fantastic!!
Does anyone know where this was filmed i know its near union station but where can you get that close to watch the trains
This was shot on a balcony at the end of the skywalk, the glassed in walkway that runs from Union station to the Rogers Centre. Great place to see the Westbound traffic out of Union Station
Obrigado por nos levar juntos nesse maravilhoso passeio ! Gostei muito do vídeo ! ! Felicidades para todos vocês aí ! Forte abraço !!! 🙏
Great video mate
Thanks. Next time I’ll try to be on the other side of the ship so I can see the other side of the locks . Live and learn
Interesting to see for the first time switching with high horsepower. I suppose it is because of the lengthy car loads. Thanks Walter. Another first (for me at least)!
I like this, interesting timing, slow than fast, very real and atmospheric. I like your work btw
Thanks Try to put it out there raw so that people that can’t get out to railfan anymore can enjoy the experience from home. Each person has different interests so put it all out there
@@123selkirk perfect and thanks so very much! I live in NS, a desert for infrastructure. Looking to move to GTA soon. Thanks for these fixes that keep me sane lol
A great trip and a well done video. I hope the fact that you had to watch your camera did not detract too much from such a rare opportunity. Thanks for taking us along for the ride Walter.
I sat down for most of the trip back down to enjoy the views undistracted. You are right, you can miss the good stuff in life if you get caught up in the videotaping / photography too much. Watched one lady on the bus tour watching the scenery through the screen on her iPad as she recorded it instead of looking out the window and seeing the real thing. Sad!!
Great Video Walter!
Great Catches Walter, I Subscribed To Your Channel!
Welcome aboard. Glad to share
I hooe the new charger set Vias enter service soon so we can see them everyday
Nice catches
Great captures, Walter !! Thanks for sharing it. James.
Thanks Walter. Another great video. Enjoyed especially the CN movements.
Shouldn't it be HMCS TiddlyWink ?
There's a moment when a VIA P42 sounds the horn?
Great catches! Especially at 2:31 I love those old cab cars!
That was just terrific, Walter. And your use of zoom was the best that I have seen in quite a long while !! Very nice work indeed ! Do you use a video cam of some sort for this ? Thanks. James.
Thanks for the kind words. Glad people appreciate the efforts. Like getting close so you can see the details you miss if the train just blows by. I use a video camera (Panasonic hc-wxf991) as the zoom seems smoother than the ones they build into the primarily photo cameras. Miss having the more pro video cameras I used in the late 80’s with the big Fujinon lenses and the nicer zoom control, but make what I have work.
@@123selkirk Thanks Walter. I have from time to time considered obtaining a video camera for the reasons you mentioned. I find that it is practically impossible to zoom smoothly with my Canon without unwanted camera movement. One reason that I have not (yet) gone that route is that, whereever possible, I like to focus my efforts on the aerial work. That means that I am unable to mind the ground camera in order to done zooms. Perhaps I'll run into you at Bayview one day. James.

Not too many places you can see that combination
@@123selkirkeah. The only other places you can see it are Vancouver and Montreal
Another great video. Thanks Walter.
