2021 Haying is DONE!!!
In today's video we are officially wrapping haying for 2021. We start off by raking up the last 115 acres of hay with both rakes going. After that I got the large square baler ready and began square baling. Only need about 60 bales and finished in the mid afternoon. We then had a neighbor bring his little square baler to the field and started to make some little square bales. Once he had finished we stacked and stored the bales in a shed until they are sold. And thus concludes 2021 haying. I hope you guys enjoyed the video. Stay tuned for some harvest videos. Don't forget to LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE!!!

Start of 2021 Nebraska Soybean Harvest
มุมมอง 7183 ปีที่แล้ว
In today's video we are finally started to harvest some of our crops. Our dryland soybeans are ready to be harvested and hauled to town. Before we got to harvesting though we had to open up another field of hay for 4th cutting alfalfa. Once the dew and moisture was out of the soybeans we were finally able to start harvesting. We made a pretty big hole in the field before we had to quit at night...
4th Cutting Alfalfa (Almost Got STUCK)
มุมมอง 5393 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I am cutting our biggest field of alfalfa for the 4th time this year. Dad had opened up the field and I finished it out. While cutting the field, one of my tires on my windrower fell into a washed out pivot track stuck. Luckily I was able to wiggle my way out with no damages to the windrower. And got the field finished up as well. Hope you enjoy the video. Sorry for the late uploa...

Square Baling 3rd Cutting Alfalfa
มุมมอง 6983 ปีที่แล้ว
In today's video we put up 125 acres of alfalfa using our Hesston 4910 Large Square Baler. We first had to rake the hay up and let it dry a little since it was still just a little too tough. Once it dried out we finally got to baling. Had a couple of problems here and there with the knotters but we got it done. Also we put tarps on over 250 of these bales. Stay tuned towards the end of the vide...
More 3rd Cutting (Possible Baler Problems)
มุมมอง 3783 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey guys in today's video we continue 3rd cutting alfalfa harvest. I first raked up the hay with the new rake we got this year. After letting it sit and letting a little more moisture out of the hay we started baling. After a little while though I started to hear almost like a knock coming from the baler, but wasn't sure where. Luckily we have the second one to use to that way if there is a maj...

NEW Rake and Square Baling 2nd Cutting Hay
มุมมอง 2573 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey guys sorry for the late upload. Been extremely busy trying to get 2nd cutting alfalfa put up which has included some very long days. But in today's video dad bought a NEW rake (new to us). We tested it out to see how well it would work on our fields. Along with testing the new rake we also square baled some 2nd cutting alfalfa. Hope you guys enjoy the video. Preparing the Windrower for Second Cutting
มุมมอง 9543 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I replaced the knives on my windrower. Along with replacing knives I powerwashed the header to remove the stuck on dirt that the turtles were rubbing on, greased the header and windrower, and started second cutting alfalfa. Thank you guys so much for helping me reach 100 subscribers. It truly does mean a lot to me!! Hope you enjoy today's video though. Don't forget to LIKE, COMMEN...
Putting Up New Seeding Alfalfa
มุมมอง 1.2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In today's video we are putting up our new seeded alfalfa that we planted early in the spring. It was getting mature enough to be put up, or at least whatever could grow. You'll see our dryland corners didn't amount to a lot due to the lack of rain we haven't been getting. Hope you guys enjoy the video. Don't forget to LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE!!!

you should try a borken idler roller price in Australia Brandt told me it cost me $2800 for something this according to the bulletin in the replacement bag they are prone to break now baler was on fire today cap bolt on right side is broken and not sure what the rest of the problem is still working on it going to call baler 80 bales as thats all it does before something breaks
Appreciate your time.Thank you, great video
Yeah we run 2 of the 568, got all new belts (ouch) and gonna start the bearing overhaul
If their broke of course you put new turtles on. Gopher mounds rocks and dèbre cause us much trouble. Couple days ago I run up on some 4 wheeler ramps someone left in the field. At least they were light aluminum.
Just change them to the other side and change blades.
I would like to talk to you about your settings. Im working on getting mine set up
Hello, how many hectares does this machine work per day?
Nice video!
What rate controller are you using. I have a reichart adapter running a 2630 in my cat but it won't seem to talk to cart properly. Just like your system. Cart works fine on other JD tractors.
nicely done sir
Like that you guys removed the belts to work on the shaft bearings. Makes access so much easier.
How wide is that spreader throwing the lime?
Good shit brotha we drive Mac don for the cutting season it’s nice checking out different swathers at work 💯
Been waiting for new haying videos this year! You done with TH-cam?
Unfortunately I think so at the moment. I didn't realize how much time it would take to set up shots and then edit the videos all together. I appreciate all the support I have received though I honestly didn't think I would make it this far. I may upload a few here and there, almost like "updates" in a way but at the moment I have no videos to edit or upload.
I definitely learned something from this video. As a kid, I used to hay in the summers. In the Colorado mountains, we were too high up for alfalfa, and everything was timothy grass. Only one cutting per season. I wonder how alfalfa compares with RFV and TDN.
Would like to talk you about set up on machine whats your email? I have same exact setup looking at adding GPS.
What steering wheel play did you have it setup to?
Can’t wait to see the progression of harvest videos... from “Yay! We are starting!!” to the end videos!! “Are we done yet!?” 😜😉🤷🏼♀️
Nice work. Setting up a 4995 for windrowing canola, what anti rotation bracket did you get/make to lock the ATU onto the steering collumn? Couldnt quite make it out in your picture - any updates in settings. Im gonna start with yours
When I had bought the ATU it had a bracket that came with it. It looks like a big square that you put on the column and tighten it down with some screws. Hadn't really updated the settings too much.

Have a safe harvest
Thank you!!!
How long did it take to cut 150 acres?
Usually it takes us around 13 hours to cut the entire field. Averaging around 10-12 acres an hour
Good video!
Also great content
Nice man love it Iam from Australia
The best time to bale alfalfa hay is at night when the hay is taking on dew. I always baled at night from about 11-12pm to sunrise and until the hay starts to lose leaves. The quality of the alfalfa hay was MUCH better with night time baling.
I like baling at night time as well! Something about seeing tractor lights in a field I really enjoy. Recently though the humidity sets in so fast here in Nebraska that we can only really bale until 9 o'clock before the hay gets too wet. Just one of those things you got to role with the punches. Thanks for the comment!!!
Cool shot when the bale is kicked out!
i enjoy your channel i enjoy the haymaking videos and all the farm related stuff you guys do i was wondering if it is more efficient to make large square bales instead of all the round bales just wondering it seems like when you have to stop everytime a round bale is ready to be dumped out just takes extra time where the big square bales you can just keep on trucking along, anyway keep up the good work you have an excellent channel
It actually depends on how heavy the hay is. A couple videos ago, I believe the video of the new rake, we had all three balers going at once and my brother and I kinda had an unintentional race across the field. I actual got to the end of the field before he did. If the have is even lighter yet I would be going much faster. So like I said it just depends how heavy the hay is but it is nice just being able to keep going and not having to stop. Thank you for the comment!!!
I watched all 3 parts. What a big job! How many bales? First time any bearings were replaced? Are the bearings greaseable or not? Replacement because they exhibit a problem or as preventative?
This baler we just bought this year and I believe it had 15000 bales. Some of the bearings had been replaced on the baler that we could tell but quite a few were still from factory. You can tell if it was from factory if the bearing still has John Deere green paint on the seals. These bearings are not greaseable they are sealed bearings. We did this so then that way we shouldn't have to worry about a bearing going out in the field when there is hay that needs to be put up.
@@noblevlogs7542 Now I understand and fully support your decision. My baler has 10k and just now is starting to reveal bearing problems. First ones are those "sealed" bearings that cannot be greased. They are truly a PITA, take loads of time and are rarely easy to get out.
How many ton can you hold at a time? Do you like the job it does?
My dad and I think we were getting roughly 8 ton on per load. I really liked the job it did of spreading it out.
first viewer and first comment. I LOVE YOU!!!!
Lol I love this one!!!!
2:50 onward (underside shot) you seem to have a hydraulic leak there, just thought I'd mention it encase you hadn't seen. Great video!! :D
DyFrig Griffiths thank you for pointing this out. Thats actually water dripping off the A/C lines that's been condensed from the humidity. When I first had bought this windrower I was freaking out about it but we quickly figured out where it was coming from lol. Thanks for looking out for me though!!!
@@noblevlogs7542 oh good, I was worried there. Thanks for the reply! Keep up the amazing vidoes 😃
That thing you’re using-it’s like a comealong or something? Very interesting.

Love it!!
Once you have it in auto steer and you miss some alfalfa, can you take it out of auto steer and just drive it? Like taking it in and out of 4x4 on the pickup?
Yes I can disengage it. All I have to do is turn the steering wheel and the the motor on the wheel will release. From there I will be able to drive it myself.
What’s a clevice hitch? Prob didn’t spell that right.

Time mark 5:51 you have a really lame cow. She was limping bad
Gloves would be good.
peggyt1243 You're absolutely right! We should have been wearing some gloves, but it was one of those spur of the moment type situations where we weren't sure how far along the cow was and so we just wanted to get in there and get the calf out. Awesome comment!
How much oil do you put in the windrower head?
The windrower header typically takes about 2.5 gallons of hyrdaulic oil. The proper level of oil though can be achieved by looking at the sight glass drain plugs on either end of the header.
Road to a million subs starts here! 🤌
Very informative
Good to know the white powdery wasn’t cocaine! 😂
Cool video!
That’s a lot of interesting “field finds!” 😳🧐
So the one cow (with the calf you pulled) didn’t have twins?
Nope she just had the one little calf.
😃
Aww. Love the little calfies!
