does it weaken the functional muscles like cutting tendon or botox? does it hurt? how much does this cost will it help w finger movement? can americans get treatment? how long post stroke - is there a time limit? how often do u have to do it?thx

There are doctors TIRR Houston, Texas, Harvard Spaulding Boston, Atlanta for Aduts and Kids, University of Kentucky Lexington, a 20 center study in the USA is starting to recruit. We have a study showing we can do weeks after a stroke to 50 years after. It can restore finger movement in some patients after proper selection, my playlist has many cases. Each patient is completely unique and requires nerve blocks to assess potential outcomes. The procedure costs about $450 for the equipment, usually once, maybe twice a year, if the patient wants more treatment. I do not know what American Facilities charge for the service. Most patients get 1-2 treatments in 1-3 years. As for weakness, the feedback from patients is that they feel stronger with more movement. Please watch the playlist for many more cases. th-cam.com/play/PLtoDq2nVmhrxSbC6lJLFBjNR9vqmJ9T0Y.html

Awesome technique!I hope this becomes available in the U.S. soon. Maybe after your textbook comes out. My son needs it. He will be going back to NYU Langone in NYC. Years of function is way preferable to 6 months after botox. He has CP. His arm got nerve damage(causing his fingers to swan) during back surgery lying on his side for 8 hours9 yrs ago. It got better after botox and pt, the brace they made never was comfortable so he could not wear it. It's now back along with the hand is staying in a fist, cramping and pain up to his shoulder esp at nite.

This is a great step toward better pain management and regain of function. Looking forward to learning more about it. Our son had a stroke 6 days after his TBI from an Auto accident. He was 3 years old. He is now 17 and we have never stopped looking for the next treatment option. This is our next step we think. Thank you for continuing to look for better ways to treat spasticity.
