My basement bathroom water is pumped out with a pump One day my toilet was acting clogged, and the water on the shower floor was not draining just accumulating. I know the sound of the pump and about how long the water is running for it to kick. It’s not doing anything now. Thanks for the video I’m going to rule out the first few things. My friend stayed with me a few days I’m thinking something was flushed that shouldn’t have been. Hope I can figure it out and even get it running again.. 🙏

I just today did a T&P test on my 6 year old AO Smith water heater. They say that it should flow freely with no constriction. My valve is just like yours. At first, I thought my valve was constricted (very little water spat out) by pulling the valve and setting it 180 degrees opposite it's original setting (from pointing straight down to pointing straight up) and leaving it there. But actually, you should pull it toward you 45 degrees and hold it. When I did that, THEN it flowed freely. (whew!) You are the first one to tell us to let it flow for 5 seconds. I only did it for about 2 seconds. It damned near overflowed my drain pan (2" wider than tank) as it was. Questions: (btw, I subbed, liked, belled, and just now commented) 1...Is it necessary to turn off the power first to prevent dry firing the upper element? 2...Is it necessary to (after the test) first mop up, then air dry the bottom of the tank to prevent valve drainage water from rusting out the bottom of the tank? 3...There are 4 pipe nipples on the top of my tank. Two of them are the hot and the cold water ports. One is for the anode rod that says ("ANODE") on it. But the 4th nipple on the edge says "NIAGARA SI414-2." What is that one for?
