Early on getting more dev cards seems to be best....Increase chance of good dev cards.You might have gotten the monopoly card instead?????????

This was a total fluke game. There is no way Green should have been able to win that. Except everyone thought that and let them get two cities and army before even starting to see them as a threat and then it was too late.

I’ve been away awhile. Miss me? I would have grabbed the 8-10-3 pointed towards the 4 ore. That would have allowed use of both the wood and ore ports potentially. It would have hindered red also

That 5,8,10 is what I call an Ore trap; 2 ore, one being a 6 or 8 and another lower production one and another resource. They can often be deadly to the game of the first or second player if they grab them. In this case the nearby ore port made it even more enticing. Never mind that if you end up having to port ore, you're doing something wrong. Orange avoided it, Blue fell into it and then didn't even get the port.

I think as 4th position you will not get army most likely, so to get road and connect, i would place the 4 5 11 with the 6 3 4 pointing towards the 8 ore

Not click bait, that really was an epic comeback. I think you were down 9 to 2 or 8 to 2, something crazy like that, Red almost had when he held longest road early. Goes to show how chasing road can destroy your game, it messed up all three of your competitors in this match. I think you got plowed 3 times in this game, that's hard to recover from. That really was the best comeback I've ever seen.

Nice game! A couple of things I thought about during the game: 2:37: Did you think about pointing towards the wood port? If 3-4-8 is open, your main expansion spot is at the bottom anyway, and I can't imagine blue blocking both 3-4-8 and 5-6-9. 31:27: Why didn't you extend on top? Not that it's a big difference at that point, but 4 brick with a 3:1 port certainly looks better than doubling up the 2 wheat. 34:37: I would definitely port for a City and extend road once or twice. That way, you can finish the game with a settlement, which is way easier for you to get than a city. Also, citying up the 5-8-10 will increase your production a lot more than this settlement does.

Pretty late to this but I would've gone for 5,9,10 and 3,11,6. I haven't watched till the end so I don't know if your strat will work for you, but I personally don't like the lack of number diversity with your 5,8,10 placing. And also no wheat equals....! Yep, so we'll see :)
