I went to a community college to learn graphic design 20 years ago so I feel like I'm an expert, and you're going to hear what I have to say about one of my favorite games: Balatro. I point out 2 easily fixable but somehow overlooked design shortcomings that I believe could make Balatro even better from a UX standpoint...even if only a percent of a percent of a percent better. @@GraemeGunn I would say my favorite apples are cosmic crisp, I used to like Fuji but a high percentage are kinda mealy, but with cosmic crisp I find that by far the majority are nice and well crisp, as for the cosmic part I don’t know why they call it that maybe it’s from space but when you think about it the earth is also in space so who the heck knows

You're so real for this LMAO. I've been thinking that forever. Honestly I have a few complaints on the strange layout of a few things in the game but that one is a major oversight I've thought about for a few months now ever since I really noticed it lol.
I believe the oversight is in thinking charging $50 for a new card is a sustainable business model. Snap is my all time favorite mobile game, but I fear the game will be dead within a year or two if they don't allow new players to attain cards easier.

My cat vomited in my kitchen, and then my dog ate it. I was trying to order a new gas bottle online during all of this and found it hard to navigate the website while gagging. It would have been nice if the website designer had considered ways to accommodate users who were gagging while trying to enter payment information. Hopefully, more people will see this video and really think about the different situations of the people using their site. THINK👏ABOUT👏THE👏GAGGERS!👏

I think it needs a quickbutton to change it so that I dont have to hover over the sort button on controller every time.
That would also be a fantastic addition!
One issue with this is that you can manually rearrange cards so it isn't always sorted one way or the other. The way it works is, when you press one of those buttons, it sorts the hand immediately, and upon each hand or discard it will sort them to that configuration again. But in between those it might not be sorted, and I think that might be confusing if it says it is sorted one way but isn't.
this would be easy to fix by just removing selection indicator when user manually moves a card

Good video and definitely a couple of good points. Bit of constructive criticism though: Your speaking cadence is a little like G Man and it can be a bit distracting...
