Hey, Cayden - thanks for sharing. Was doing the same thing just this morning with my Shinto - your neck is looking great! Headed back to finish the sanding - time-consuming but I usually find it relaxing, just zoning out on working those curves and making it smooth. Mark

shaping the neck is my favourite part of the build to. I use a rasp (non-shinto) to get the initial area at the body and headstock in shape then use a spoke shave to blend between the two. then copious amounts of sanding for smoothness

Get a farrier rasp! It makes short work of neck carving! Nice tune!

Looks to be a very cool cbg. Can't wait to see the finished product. My only suggestion would be, be patient! I've made mistakes because I got too excited, started rushing and made cuts where they weren't needed or wanted. Luckily they were fixable but it did put a damper on the build. And congrats on passing 100 subs. Hope there is many more in the future.

Nice job. I was just in Syracuse NY this weekend and picked up four Chilling Moose Boxes. A friend asked me to build his brother in Australia a CBG that was Canada themed. I can't think of a better thing to represent Canada than a moose 😅.

You can get more out of that piezo if u install it setting in the bridge under whatever your using fit the strings to sit on in the slot. (I use bone) just make sure u drill the hole in the lid for the wire In the right spot so u can move the bridge a little to set the intonation

You would like a dulcimer fretted CBG. Strumstick style with skinny strings.
