Washington has become a hellscape of degeneracy and violence. Stabbings shootings rape. Nope
if you have arachnophobias do not move to Renton, WA.....the bugs are huge, black and everywhere....you can not get rid of them. I lived in Renton for a few months, our home was infested, we had them come out to fumigate every week for months to no avail. We had to move.
Hi...i live in Belgium u want to move there...What can do?
Send me an email: Kelseyanderson@johnlscott.com
@SeattleWashingtonLifeAndLiving okay thank you
My daughter granddaughter is living in Renton and it's the ugliest nastiest place she ever wanted to live
It's extremely expensive. Housing prices are crazy. Traffic sucks. It's a lakefront party town. Everyone who lives there is a progressive wacko. Californians fit right in.
i'm from Kent and I love it
Sure, you would "LUV TOO Get in TOUCH With US" over used statement which literally means...I WANT YOUR MONEY, CONSIDERING you're a typical REALTOR.
The weird thing about Issaquah is you can live in one neighborhood and have no clue about the other neighborhoods, they almost feel totally separate. I've lived in the Highlands 3 years and commute to Seattle - I have no idea where the hell places like Mirrormont, Klahanie, or Talus are, they may as well be totally different towns. The only parts of Issaquah I go to outside of the Highlands would be Gilman, sometimes olde town Issaquah, and the shopping area where Fred Meyer is, and also Costco. Btw, we live down by Swedish in the Highlands and it's literally 2 minutes to hop on 90 at exit 18 so it's actually very convenient!
From someone who’s lived in Washington for 40 years stay away from Renton.
There are some great neighborhoods in Renton, and it’s nice to have a place that’s more affordable, with close proximity to more interesting suburbs. You just need a realtor that knows the area well, and can help you find what you’re looking for. Thanks for watching!
hello there. would you recommend Seattle for an African family migrating to the US?
Hi there! I believe Seattle is a very diverse community that is home to SO MANY wonderful cultures and nationalities. So absolutely :). Let me know if I can help you research a location that best fits what you’re looking for.
Too much crime
Depends on WHERE :)
I watching from sabah malaysia very impressve instruction about washington amazing really .
Wow, thank you
Hlo
Great Video. I'm coming in to Redmond to visit in a couple of weeks and this really helped in giving me an idea of what to expect when I arrive.
Glad it was helpful!
"Beach Vibe" LOL No. Look, it's 50 60 degrees most of the year. Yes there are places you can swim say 1 to 2 months out of the year. You will probably want to be wearing shoes to do it. Waterfront parks, sure. But they aren't what you think when you think beach. The ducks are happy. It is still not "beachy". Ducky. It's ducky. We also have a lot of bunnies. They are not beachy either.
Seattle is not a safe place, drug addicts and crime overrun the area
Seattle is a metropolis… gonna have some areas better than others! Come out to the burbs, and we can prioritize safety!
че? увага
i would be interested in a single story home with no HOA.
@garymoore3497 Can you send me an email at kelseyanderson@johnlscott.com so I can help you?
I am from Burien wa
Too many dudes. Not many cute girls. 7 to 3 ratio
You will feel at home if you are Indian.
Madame! Its Rent'in, not Ren-ton. And its not federal way, its felony way. Are you are local or not. Whats next, Mont' Rainier.
I like in Skyway, I live here and own several rental properties
I live there
🌿Thank you for sharing this informative video about Kirkland. We also love Kirkland, and its contributions to the greater Seattle and Bellevue communities. Kelsey Anderson and her fellow colleagues, if your clients are seeking a lifestyle city that offers a more walkable environment, with an abundance of nearby recreational opportunities, and boasts similar graduation rates, test scores, student and parent ratings, cultural diversity, and name recognition, Mill Creek may be their ultimate suburban oasis. With a 23-28 minute drive to the technology hubs in downtown Seattle and Bellevue, our city on average, offers commute times to Amazon and Microsoft in Bellevue, and Google in Kirkland that are very similar to those of Sammamish and Issaquah. Mill Creek is also primarily composed of upscale and luxury neighborhoods. Also notable, avoiding toll roads, the commute times to South Lake Union in Seattle from areas in Kirkland, Woodinville, and even Education Hill in Redmond are also very similar to that of Mill Creek. In fact, one of the benefits of Mill Creek is its multiple routes to any destination, providing flexibility and convenience. Furthermore, with Mill Creek's relatively low real estate profile in more RECENT national media, potential owners can take advantage of the LOWER PRICE POINTS. Mill Creek's unique blend of amenities and lifestyle is hard to match. In fact, this level of luxury and convenience is only found in downtown Kirkland, NW Woodway, and select Bellevue neighborhoods near Lake Washington. So, what sets Mill Creek apart? Most residents can easily access a range of desirable amenities and destinations by walking along the beautiful sidewalks or biking along our scenic, private paved hiking trails. These amenities include: • Top-rated schools with advanced programs • Cafes, restaurants with patios, and gourmet grocery stores • Fitness centers, and one of the best private golf courses in our region along with our fantastic Mill Creek Country Club • Swim and tennis clubs, as well as community pickle ball and tennis courts, and beautifully maintained parks and nature preserves with over 23 miles of private paved trails • Touring our fine neighborhoods featuring homes by Murray Franklyn and the Buchan Family, as well as our upscale, architecturally diverse neighborhoods, showcasing inspiring landscaping and style Mill Creek also offers a safety profile that is similar to that of the top cities in King and Snohomish counties, including Sammamish. Information and ratings gleaned from blogs, Niche, Great Schools, Homes, other media should always be verified by consulting government websites, including government crime maps which tend to be more accurate. Undoubtedly, Mill Creek is an attractive alternative that your clients may appreciate. I invite you to experience Mill Creek's charm firsthand and discover why it's a hidden oasis worth exploring. 🏡 kingcounty.maps.arcgis.com/apps/dashboards/edcc4d563a3f4a38a106ad1b0c278430 🌎 snohomishcountywa.gov/236/Community-Crime-Map
Great video! the music in the background got a little tiring though
My family moved from Kent to Enumclaw in middle school, best decision they ever made. Hands down. Kent is a hell hole now a days. LIVEPD does episodes there all the time cause of the amount of crime. Kent, auburn, Renton, Puyallup, irs all the same
Definitely depends on the neighborhood!
🌿Thank you for sharing this super informative video. Your video seems very well-balanced and well-focused on the needs of your clients. It would be great to see you feature Mill Creek, especially the Country Club area in a TH-cam video . Our 'master planned' city features top-rated schools, 23 miles of private hiking trails, and a range of resort-style amenities, including a tennis club, swim club, Country Club, and an excellent golf course, as well as an award winning Town Center - ALL of which can be accessed by strolling along our beautiful sidewalks. With a strong focus on safety and community, there's a 25 mph speed limit throughout and a restriction on campers and parked cars, Mill Creek offers a unique blend of recreation, convenience, and tranquility. The non-rush hour travel time to South Lake Union (SLU) in Seattle and to Amazon in Bellevue is, a quite reasonable 23-26 minutes, and Mill Creek shares very similar commuting times with Sammamish, Bothell, and Issaquah. Thanks again for sharing this great video! Mill Creek Owners 🏡 Also it's worth mentioning crime data for the best suburbs in King County including Sammamish, are very similar to Mill Creek's numbers: kingcounty.gov/en/legacy/depts/sheriff/news-media/crime_data AND snohomishcountywa.gov/236/Community-Crime-Map

Truth about Renton, and the Greater Seattle Area - I grew up in Renton, it was a great place to grow up in the 60s, 70s, & 80s. Back then you could be out all night, walk the streets, and have a great time. Today, you don't want to be in Renton after the sun goes down, muggings, rape, robberies, violent crimes, car jackings, stolen cars. A lot of crime in Renton today. A lot of Homeless in Renton. Each night, every night on the news, you hear about a murder, a shooting, a body being found, and other crimes being committed. Prior to 1985 I didn't know what Rush Hour Traffic Was, but thanks to TV shows like Northern Exposure, people started relocating to Washington in droves, like a gold rush was on. Traffic on the freeways is like a standing still parking lot during rush hour. There are a lot of other cities and States that are a much better choice to relocate to.
No shade to the Realtors doing their job and I know their is a clause to where realtors can’t speak negative about areas and demographics. But everything you stated is the truth not only about Renton but every surrounding area in south king county and beyond to Pierce county.
I heard Renton was infested with pigroaches, and they steal your tires and reusable shopping bags!
🌿Thank you for sharing this informative video about Sammamish. We also love Sammamish, and its contributions to the greater Seattle and Bellevue communities.
Fun video! I grew up in South Seattle, but moved to Kent in 1986. We have 5 acres and a small horse ranch here on the east side of Kent, so if you are looking for acreage, there are many large properties on the east side. The 'town' of Covington is only about 5 miles from me so although we live in a very private, beautiful property, nothing is too far away. I still own the house in Seattle, and I usually give myself abourt 45 minutes (no freeways) to get to that house. I enjoy Kent, although it has changed a lot since we moved here, there is still a country feeling in some parts.
Love that!! Thanks for sharing your experience! So many of these cities that surround Seattle vary in so many ways throughout the town (homes, yards, cultures etc etc etc) and Kent is no different! Charm is sprinkled everywhere… some folks just have to be a bit more patient for it :)
Kent is a toilet bowl and Seattle is worse the 40% growth is homeless people 😉
Don’t move there 😮
California isnt really all that it is cracked up to be granted it has Mediterranean weather but the home prices are just as expensive as seattle or more. The traffic is ridiculous too. So its not an all win win, yes more sunny weather but higher taxes and food and gas is through the roof. And you will absolutely see homelessness, the bigger the population the more homelessness you will definitely see and its been a major issue in Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area. If the cost of living is just as high the state of WA has to follow up and the wage has to go up, you can't increase rent or home prices and not bring up the wages. People just don't want to spend right now, a lot just don't because they are so uncertain of their security of their finances and I understand perfectly.
Things like that
Enjoyed your very informative presentation regarding Kent. One pro that I feel should be emphasized more is its easy access to the ever expanding light rail system.
That is awesome! Huge pro there for people that use public transit! Thanks for sharing and watching 🤍
A very good video. I hope I can meet you one day to discuss for a new home. Regards

Kent has a lot of shootings I moved out of Seattle 10 years ago to Auburn and boy o boy Kent is a different beast.
Excellent overview. Thanks.
Entertainment is a con but crime isn’t? it’s ranked about the same as Tacoma, traffic is awful , and it’s still decently far from the cities but still a good middle ground in comparison of southern suburbs I work as a contractor in Kent there is a ton of jobs tho I’ve been in most of the DCs and businesses, food variety is decent, parks and nature is gonna be everywhere in WA so I wouldn’t decide on that I would say rent first to get a feel for the area.
Crime is sadly a con in most areas south of Seattle… just depends on neighborhood, so people have to do their own research and check out neighborhoods at their highest price point they can afford!
🦆 PRO - There are a lot of ducks 🦆 💩 🚙 CON - duck will poop on your windshield and then your catalytic converter will be stolen by a tweaker
No thanks
Not a good video fir showing
I LIVE HERE
She did not mention the high rate of crime in Kent.
Definitely something to consider!
You are totally wrong about Lakeland Hills. My house there is worth between 500-600k, so prices do NOT start at 600k as you said. FURTHERMORE, there are a number of condos and townhomes within the development that start much lower, around 300k and up. Please get your facts straight.
Hey, thanks for watching! I made this video a year ago, and it reflects the prices at the time.
For years I lived at an apartment complex just outside Renton on SW Sunset Blvd (900), looking over the Kent Valley, with a view of Mt. Rainier and Mt. St Helens (on very clear days), but moved due to crime (I really miss the view). Ok, it may not have been considered a "natural disaster", but the Nisqually earthquake (2-28-2001) caused problems for people and companies to find where to live and work from. My group was moved several times while our offices were demolished and replaced.
I hope you take the time to read this. But Renton was a nice place when I visited late September back in 2023 but is was awesome but the crime and the people aren’t the best. You just gotta know who you’re talking to . But I do have an aunt that lives in Renton they like it but are they are most likely not going but a house there. But have a blessed day !
I live at the border of Kent and I like it much better than Auburn. While there is crime, crime is everywhere. I’ve had stuff stolen from me here in Auburn, in Renton and in Bremerton 🤷🏽♀️ it is what it is. For me as a WOC, it’s very diverse and that can’t be said for a lot of areas in the state. That’s what brought me to the area and I’m glad I did.
