I custom build fine cigar box guitars and other musical instruments out of upcycled/recycled materials and timber grown on my property. I also host a weekly radio show ("Pass the Hat" on WHUP), disrupt local municipal meetings, know all the good bartenders in town, and know where the bodies are buried. Revolutions Fomented, rebellions quelled, virgins cured, dull lives upgraded and uppity women celebrated. Smoke em if you got em.

DIY Fret Slotting Jig
มุมมอง 10K7 ปีที่แล้ว
A quick and easy way to make a fret slotting jig to help you create slotted fretboards for your stringed instruments quickly and easily. I cut the slots on my radial arm saw using a fret slotting blade from Stewmac. Its pricey as saw blades go, but pays for itself in a few minutes if you have several fretboards to make (another vid here shows that process). See my stuff on facebook: facebook.co...

Paracord Handle On A Walking Stick
มุมมอง 161K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Quick and simple technique for wrapping a paracord handle onto... almost anything. Note that if you cannot wrap loops over the end of your work piece to create the half-hitches as I do here, it is almost as easy to cut the cord to an estimated length and tie individual half-hitches, wrapping the cord around the work piece as you go.

You make the clove hitch so quickly I can't see how you're doing it !!
If you have access to a Heat gun or Blow dryer you can use it to heat up the Bees Wax
Fill the corn....................yaaa.............
It would be nice if you could have the camera show how you tied the finish knot. Probably the beginning knot also. Why didn't you review the video before you posted it?
Who else thought the bees wax was cheese?😅
Damn….The tie went off the screen and the camera missed just what I wanted to see…the tieing of the “handle” loop.
That's great thank you. You made it very easy for me to do
Need to show clove hitch more clearly and slowly for those of us that do not know knots.
Love her style and voice. Simply beautiful. Very talented lady.
I could feel that, nice job. And there's Zakk in the background too.
Great tip on the Maple, did not know that
You gotta center your work in the frame man. And maybe be behind the work you do so your entire hands/arms don’t block the frame. Can’t see for a damn, which is kinda the point of an instructional video.
How do you get the spiral wrap on top?
Not sure what you mean by on top. Do you mean on the outside of the wrap? That happens naturally with the series of overhand knots you tie as you wrap the handle.
@@madurobob yeah the spiral it makes with the cord. I rewatched it again and now I understand it. Awesome Video!!
Thanks I’ll try this on my cane.
💥💥💥WOW KNOTS💥💥💥
Hard to follow the first knot not everyone knows a clove hitch. The end knot was confusing too! Ugh I’m just not that smart :(
❤️😍🇮🇶🇮🇶👍👍👍🙂
Ooh... thankyou for this tutorial, I'm gonna try this on cat scratch post so it's easier for her to climb!
Nice easy to follow
What size paranoid did you use??
Gostei do wisque 😆😆
Thanks! That is beautiful. Thank you so much for the animatedknots site! What a treasure trove! :D I wrapped a roosting perch for my chicken coop with manilla rope and needed to know how to tie it off. I ended up using an Icicle Hitch. So grateful I came across your video!
Thanks for sharing this will save me a few £
Thanks man! Your video helped me to put the finishing touches on the walking staff I made for my mom. I appreciate your efforts.
Love it! It must be very gratifying to hear one of your creations sound so good.
🇮🇶💛🌹🙂👍👍👍
I wish that you had kept the "action" centered in the picture.
Yep, havin' a wee bit o' John Barleycorn definitely soothes the nerves, steadies the fingers, enlightens the heart and warms the soul. Ummm... what was I gonna do with this paracord and walkin' stick?😎🥴🍺🥃😁
Excellent and very clever thank you looks fantastic 👌👌👌👌
Horrible vid. Got to the and your final knot slipped out of frame. Couldn't see the finish. Had to invent my own.
Hah! If you listen, I tell you exactly where to go to find an animated explanation of that knot, and many others. Enjoy!
Nice quick knot...I like that you don’t have to pull the entire length through each time....also you get to the point and don’t ramble ...
I enjoyed your video. I was able as an older person to follow along. Unfortunately I could not see how to tie the last or handle knot as your hand was not visible.
Sorry bout that! That's why I mention animatedknots.com - they're a great resource for these sorts of things.
Nice wrap, but poor camera work- I cant see what your hands are doing
Hey bro, very good video...question: What is the type and diameter of the paracord you're using - your cord looks like it has a smooth finish like leather
Heck, I can give you the Amazon link. Its good stuff, and not too spendy: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LZ218MG/
@@madurobob Thanks..much appreciated. Keep up the great work
Hi there, where do you get your beeswax?
I have a friend who has a few hundred hives who gives me hunks now and then - check with you local beekeeper group! But also, easy to find on Amazon and at craft stores
Great video! Thanks for uploading. I finished doing this to my fiancee's hiking stick based on your video. Instead of the perfection knot/loop at the end, I finished it off with a clove hitch. Instead of beeswax, I applied glue to keep everything in place. Very pleased with the end results and will be doing this on my hiking stick in the near future.
What Is Islam? Islam is not just another religion. It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as: { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4) Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him
I love it when Americans work in metric.
Wish I could add a picture. Thanks for the video. I did my walking stick handle in blue/black Paracord (thin blue line) and did what you said to leave extra long end and did a double loop for handle. Turned out great!
Awesome!
Aloha, excellent info & vid! Mahalo.
Lost me at clove hitch, then covered it with your fingers off bottom of screen so gave up...
How do you get the little design on the wrap?
Hopefully thats what the video shows you - wrap once around, make an overhand knot, wrap again, make another knot, etc... As you go, it naturally makes a spiral design becuase of teh way the knots fit together.
I've done hundreds of feet of that french hitching on stanchions and railing on just about every Navy ship I've been on. Sad thing they stopped doing that. the railings and stanchions were rusting away inside and you didn't know it til it was too late.
Would be nice if you actually showed it close up and slowed down and not half off camera
I could follow you all the way until almost the very end....then the video was off center and I could not figure out the last, closing knot. Darn it!
Same here. The camera angle was not so good.
Just finished mine, was a little nervous that I was going to do a good job. Turned out just perfect! Thank you for the great instructions.
instablaster...
Super
I liked the comment on John Barleycorn. It made me look it up, and I am learned something else besides paracord wrapping. That aside, this is the easiest video to follow. Thanks for the assist. The Westredau Crew
Great, did my Maglite torch and it looks fantastic. I will now do my 4x4 cabin handles. See you on TH-cam.
To much either of screen or partially of screen.
thanx for the great video....
