You make the clove hitch so quickly I can't see how you're doing it !!

If you have access to a Heat gun or Blow dryer you can use it to heat up the Bees Wax

It would be nice if you could have the camera show how you tied the finish knot. Probably the beginning knot also. Why didn't you review the video before you posted it?

You gotta center your work in the frame man. And maybe be behind the work you do so your entire hands/arms don’t block the frame. Can’t see for a damn, which is kinda the point of an instructional video.

Hard to follow the first knot not everyone knows a clove hitch. The end knot was confusing too! Ugh I’m just not that smart :(

Great video! Thanks for uploading. I finished doing this to my fiancee's hiking stick based on your video. Instead of the perfection knot/loop at the end, I finished it off with a clove hitch. Instead of beeswax, I applied glue to keep everything in place. Very pleased with the end results and will be doing this on my hiking stick in the near future.

How do you get the little design on the wrap?

I've done hundreds of feet of that french hitching on stanchions and railing on just about every Navy ship I've been on. Sad thing they stopped doing that. the railings and stanchions were rusting away inside and you didn't know it til it was too late.

Would be nice if you actually showed it close up and slowed down and not half off camera

I could follow you all the way until almost the very end....then the video was off center and I could not figure out the last, closing knot. Darn it!
