    Dawkins seems ridiculous now. It's shocking to look back. DNA is telling the human story as we catalog the global samples and compare modern populations. The story is far more complex than previously thought. It involves lots of sex between different hominins in different regions around the world. DNA isn't bound by social constructs or political or religious beliefs. Science!! If we are patient we will soon have an accurate history of our emergence in this world. It is an exciting time.

      I believe your reference from that book of fiction does not over ride science and facts. There are 22 circumstantial incidents that the Bible has alleged happen from the “parting of the Red Sea” to “the great flood” as science has proven beyond a shred of all doubt that not only did NONE of these incidences ever happen through any point and time that the plausibility of it even being possible cannot exist due to the fact that the radical exaggerations of the Bible performing such “acts of god” have never visibly been witnessed with credible accounts forming documented. Everything reference in the Bible is written in the manner of a presumed “I heard this happened”. They estimate that the Bible was a conscription of information that was only compiled by a dozen or less human beings.

    • @ThaCaliEnigma
      @ThaCaliEnigma 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Neanderthal-Homo sapiens interbreeding Neanderthals are known to contribute up to 1-4% of the genomes of non-African modern humans, depending on what region of the word your ancestors come from, and modern humans who lived about 40,000 years ago have been found to have up to 6-9% Neanderthal DNA (Fu et al., 2015). Because Neanderthals likely evolve outside of Africa (no Neanderthal fossils have been found in Africa to date) it was thought that there would be no trace of Neanderthal DNA in African modern humans. However, a study in 2020 demonstrated that there is Neanderthal DNA in all African Homo sapiens (Chen at el., 2020). This is a good indicator of how human migration out of Africa worked: that Homo sapiens did not leave Africa in one or more major dispersals, but that there was gene flow back and forth over time that brough Neanderthal DNA into Africa.

    No we are NOT all Africans. This is outdated Science and this is why Dawkins should already know better than to make dumb absolute statements like that. The Out Of Africa Theory is no longer valid. Now it would seem that not only did the majority of human evolution take place outside of Africa, but even the beginnings of what eventually became human may have originated in more than one place. It really annoys me when Scientists decide to go political. They always end up making fools of themselves because they do idiotic crap like this to gain popularity among certain ideological groups but then find out that they were wrong and it was all for nothing...lol!

      @@adith9327 one thing that you need to come to grips with is that science is not based on consensus or groupthink. It's the individual that cracks the code and makes the discovery, and not the overall majority. Usually when you get groups of scientists together it causes more friction than anything else, and that's because all the work comes to a stand still and political ideology and dogma takes over. This is why you should never say that "Most Scientists Agree" when you're trying to explain something to someone. It doesn't matter what they all agree on. Most of the time what they all agree on is wrong. Keep in mind that most scientists disagreed with men like Einstein, Tesla, Newton, Galileo, and Hawking. But in the end the overall group of scientists ended up being wrong and the individuals like Hawking were correct and made the major breakthroughs while everyone else tried to call him crazy..... The same standard applies today, and it will always apply when talking about science because the work is never done.
