ahh great idea on the Eb. I was just using the major bebop scale on that part but cool idea on sub to a Bb dominant bebop. Being a blues guy I am more comfortable soling on dominant bebop scales.

16 measures is common. Add a repeat sign at the end of measure 8 and a d.s. At the end of measure 16 in Lady Bird and you have a pretty standard jazz structure.

The IV before the final ii-V-I should be EbMAJ7 (or EbMAJ6), right? This IV chord is often omitted in other tutorials and I really don't like going from the "quick ii-V" to the ending ii-V-I directly.

Thanks for your fine analysis on Doxy.I´m learning to play this tune on guitar and I´ve found that the chords progression is very much like some of the old ragtime blues.I usually can sing Hot tamales by Robert Johnson over those chords and it fits quite well with some adjusting in the singing in the B part,and of course matching the tempo with Doxy´s.Great fun!
