HP 22 A is a great firearm and half the price of the Beretta
It's a close one, but I choose the Smith purely for the cylinder release. I like how the Smith pushs forward whereas the colt you have to pull backwards. It is a more natural feel. However.....the new blued 3 inch python is a damned fine gun with MUCH improved rear sights and a smoother action that pervious model.
That is a super nice pistola!
Great video thanks. Really appreciate these older pistols.
Why you don't shoot double action?
It's likely a pretty accurate little pistol for what it is. i noticed your using the Fiocchi 71gr. ammo thats a good start. if you start having any feeding issues try running the hotter Euro. made 73gr. 7.65mm ammo they were designed for. best bet would be the Geco, S&B and the Fiocchi all in the 73gr. loading the American 71gr. loading seems to be a little weak for some of the Euro. made pistols.
3 years too late. Your revolver was made in 1936-37. Your cylinder is retained by the bar latch on the right side forward of the cylinder. They are fool proof and much better than the later spring catch that would wear out. These prewar Sportsman are not the 999 model that came later after the war. They are far superior in fit and finish than the 999 models. Fine examples are going up in price these days. Enjoy!
Diamondback .22 LR got me hooked
Considering you got it for around $1k, that is a pretty good deal for an early “Type II” with desirable early features and quality fit/finish. Nice video.
I got the 4566. Same grips right?
Three generations of our family played with ours today.👍🏻
Beautiful gun man.
Love the gun and the property you're on.👏👍
I definitely want to see a detailed video comparing the two
Why does the wood scratch so easily
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Both are amazing and really can't go wrong with either, BUT the COLT is a very special work of art. COLT
The python for the zombie apocalypse
What are Romanians running bean wise these days?
686+ obviously.
The smitty
645 any day
7 is better then 6 also Smith and Wesson has a reputation for being more reliable then Colt Like if The Air Force went to Smith and Wesson instead Colt for their 357 magnum side arm they wanted less pilots would have became POWs in Vietnam
The first picture of Don Johnson is with a Bren Ten.
Wow its in great shape. These Radoms are hard to find in that good of shape
4506😎😎😎
686 all day everyday
Colt for target. Smith&Wesson for self defense.
Do you know what year my model 55 was produced? C16944? It is a .22 pistol. Thanks
Would you rather have factory drops or sod hogue grips? And why? Thanks for the vid too 💯
The cylinder release on the Smith is more intuitive. Its easier to push forward with your thumb than pull back like the Colt.
Both
I have two pythons but i want a 586(the blued 686 at least i think thats the right model number) if i was a little more sensible in my spending, Id take the s&w hands down for the price point, definitely getting more gun for the money but the colt ain't a bad choice. Just pick what you can safely afford and you'll be more than satisfied.
If you trade the python and you will get too Smith and wessons it doesn't work the other way around.
The python of course. I have the 4 and a quarter inch. Python with a Smith and Wesson tallow 5 inch.
How do u take it back apart
686s. It's a workhorse.
Bro you kinda look like Krazy-8 from breaking bad, his pistol was also S&W4506 damn...
Nice comparison between Coca-Cola and Pepsi 😂 I really want to try the two pistols But unfortunately weapons in my country it's not allowed and super Expensive Colt python price in my country it's 12,360 pounds
If I could switch the grips to wood on the python I'd take it but the 686 would be my choice as is
Colt Python is very beautiful gun. The 686 tank will stay in time anywhere 50,000 to 75,000 rounds run through the gun. Also 686 does go out of timing only cost a few dollars to fix. A python is known widely to go out of time anywhere from fifteen thousand to 20,000 rounds and the costs are prohibitive have the the gun retimed. So so paying an extra $800 4 a gun that's inferiorly mechanical and cost-prohibitive to own I find a major drawback to owning after all the research I've done! If do the research like I have you'll come to the same conclusion but if you want to throw good money away on a gun that will not answer the call as long as 686 will that's your decision.
686 and a pepsi
Love this treasure. FIE Super Titan II must have been a mouthful, because it got renamed the Excam, in case anybody is hunting extra mags. Collected 32/7.65 for ages, and it's an underestimated and underrated casing from the right model. This is one of them, very quick learning curve, and hard to miss when I'm trying anytime it leaves the safe. I lucked out and got an immaculate model with the lowest serial I have seen on any firearm. The safetys might be a bit of a Rubik's Cube for some, but a 12+1 cap and exceptional accuracy with little troubleshooting or experience is worth hunting down and carrying even, if you have a belt/holster to accommodate the weight. These things had very solid quality control and were manufactured with care. Locked and cocked is always a plus. Highest .32/7.65 cap next to the Crvena Zastava mod 85 (15+1), and its predecessor, the CZ mod 70 is excellent. Then you have the CZ VZ 61 Skorpion, which is kindnof a different animal, but it's also awesome at 25+1
Colt always
Colt is a sick revolver
Which one do you personally prefer? 645 or 4506?
Is that gun heavy?
Yes.
