Hey, welcome! Thanks for stopping by. I am Based at Sunshine Coast Airport here in Queensland Australia and have my Recreational Pilots Licence/Certificate. Here you will find many videos including plane spotting videos, inflight footage and more. I am a regular Flyer and create many videos from my flights on which I do throughout the year and which will be posted here on my channel. From these flights I create Flight/Trip Report Videos. Since the Boeing 717s are being retired by Qantas and having stopped flying out of here a while ago now (which I flew on one of the last flights, go watch ;) ) this was a rare, random and a once off to catch another 717 here on the sunny coast since they stopped flying here. catch them while you can around Australia! @bens_aviation_

Onboard QF921, MCY-MEL, VH-YWE, 23A I’ve never landed or taken off from runway 09 before at Melbourne airport, even when I used to live back in Victoria and heard that using 09 is pretty rare at times!

Glad Tim Jordan finally realised why regional routes were unconnected in the first place. They just can't turn a profit.
That is 100% absolutely not true whatsoever. A lot and I mean ALOT, especially out the sunny coast here, did amazing with mostly every flights more than 85% full.

Sadly, these planes are roolly roolly old and Qantas is going to dump them soon. My first flight on one of these. Sydney to Canberra. Around about 1972.

Such a shame to see the end of the 717. They are a great aircraft. My Fav of the whole fleet VH-NXL is already in the boneyard in the USA dessert. Everytime NXL was going into Maroochydore I would drop everything and head to the airport just to see her.

@@anguscovoflyer95 yep you are partially right. not all but most flights into and out of mcy with bonza are pretty full, not all, but id say 70% of them are? other places around the country though ive heard are bad
@@benlandry23 maybe the bad reputation bonza got from cancelling heaps of flights out of gold coast (they should never haver started the third base until they got their own planes) as well as people waiting a long time or never getting a refund have scared people off.

I flew on this EXACT aircraft (VH-VKI) From Bali to Sydney
so cheap out of gold coast to everywhere now until end of Jan. ISA/OOL nonstop (2 hours 25 min) 9JAN $69 or $97 with bag. Next cheapest is qantarse $786 2 stops & 8 hours OOL/DRW nonstop 9JAN $132 (4 hours 20 mins). Junkstar is cheapest otherwise at $548 with 1 stop taking 8 hours.
They sure are cheap Bonza for sure… beats any price by Qantas or jetstar🤢
