They say it takes 5 years for an overnight success
This channel documents my piano learning journey from Day 1. It's not easy to start as an adult. But a little practice everyday goes a long way.

This might be the last jam. So we decided to dedicate it to the one guy who comments on our videos, TylerSoBored.

It's been at least a year since I last played the song. Playing through the chord progressions and trying to find the melody.

This got randomly recommended to me. Good stuff!!
Thanks for watching!
Great job!
Woohoo!
When I set up the boss part and try to record on the first track it always stops instantly after record start is pressed. To fix that I need to delete the complete memory. When I record something on the first track prior to setting up the midi part on the boss it doesn’t happen and works normally? And it’s always the first track. Do you know why is it so?
Damn i love this
THANK YOU SO MUCH I actually might cry with happiness/relief that I found your video and subsequent Reddit post. I am so much further in my work now and BLESS YOU YOU ANGEL 🥹
Glad I could help!
Chords?

He's back!
Just subscribed to your channel. I really enjoy the style and the jam feeling. Also really like that you write down the take number.
I’ve definitely been slowing down with the videos. Thanks for the comment! I’ll keep up the posts!
can I use it with fl studio mobile?
Wonderful writeup! I'm considering getting a Nektar Pacer and this is definitely a factor. Since the Boss has a limit of 16 assigns, I had a question of whether you could further optimize your setup with the Pacer by using a different method of sending these signals. Right now you programmed the Boss to have assigns apply to all 5 tracks for all 3 functions, which uses up 15 assigns. I was thinking you could optimize your setup by taking advantage of the "Current Track" function, along with Nektar's ability to send multiple commands for a single button press. To set this up, Assign 1 on the Boss is set to Source: CC1, and Target: Cur.Trk Num, with a minimum of 1 and maximum of 1. This will have CC1 select Track 1. You repeat the process for Assign 2 to listen to CC2 and Target Cur.Trk Num to min 2 max 2 (to select track 2) and so on up until Assign 5 for Track 5. Now you have the ability to select a track at will using CC1-5, which I will call the "Track Select" CCs. The next step is to have Assign 6 set to Source: CC11 and Target: Cur.Trk Rec/Ply. Assign 7 is CC12 and Target is Cur.Trk Ply/Stp, and Assign 8 is CC 13 and Target is Cur.Trk Un/Red. Now you have the ability to apply Rec/Ply, Ply/Stp, and Un/Red to whatever track you apply. I'll call this the "Track Function" CCs. The final step is to program the Nektar to sequentially send a Track Select CC followed by a Track Function CC. For Preset A1, switch 1 can be Control Mode Sequence, then Step 1 is CC Trigger for CC1 127 (to select Track 1) and Step 2 is CC Trigger for CC11 127 (to engage Cur.Trk Rec/Ply). Repeat this process for the footswitches to where each switch uses the combination of Track Select, then Track Function. If this works, in theory you have now freed up 7 of your assigns, and still expands the horizons of the "Track Functions". You could add a "Mute" Preset which is a Cur.Trk Level toggle. You could also have a "Track Clear" preset which uses Cur.Trk Clear. Anyway, if anyone wants to try this out to see if it works, let me know if you're successful!
I would love to try this but i don't quite understand what i need to change in the pacer settings. I wish i could send you a photo of the current settings because i haven't learned midi it's so confusing, but I understand it enough to see that it should work
Thank God for you! I implemented this on my SoftStep 2 and it worked! Saved so many assigns and freed up the controller a lot
Nice! Did you have any classical training before this or were you completely new to the piano?
No training at all. Just started playing over COVID!
NICE‼️ Keep posting 🎉
Great sound guys. Relaxing.
First to comment! Thanks for listening!
What cable do you use to connect the Nektar Pacer to the RC505? Thanks
EPIC
great job!
Just discovered your channel. Nice job and glad to see your progression!
Thanks for following and commenting!
Hi dear! So informative video! Just have a question! Nektar pacer(brand new) or behringer fcb 1010(used)?
Whatever works for your setup
@midlifefunk I mean which one works better with mk2?! As I've heard behringer needs a replacement in chipset for working on 505 mk1, is it the same with mk2?
@@houmangf I don’t follow. I do know the pacer works so that might be your answer
@@midlifefunk so tnx!
you should wear nail polish on your toenails lol joke
Wah not sitting down this time. Well done
Part of the gimmick!
Mine just says PACER which I can now confirm does work. Also, don't forget to click 'Send to Pacer'. It sucks this only works for one memory track, but you could just keep track 1 empty and then save those settings to a new track.
Hi Michael, can you elaborate regarding "only works for one memory track"? What are the limitations of this fact?
You are too kind Sir, thank you for your generosity
You guys have a lot of talent. Keep it up!
Thanks for the compliment! We’ve been learning jazz together for a year now.
I have a hotone Ampero Control. I tried everything for midi assignments, checking cables, etc., TH-cam I can't assign the ampero with my rc 505 mk2. I'm completely lost Is there anyone who could help me? Thank you 🙏 Hervé Cosenza
Do you understand how the RC505 accepts midi signal? It’s covered in this tutorial. Once you have the RC505 configured, the rest would be to figure out how the Ampero unit sends the signal. For example, when you hit a switch on the unit, does it send a midi CC1 signal? That’ll be dependent on the unit. Hope that helps!
Ooooh we cook’n tonight 🤌
I feel attacked 🛻
Love it
Vocals so sultry and sexy
Amaze!
Damn, the singer is amazing!
Awesome job, love the new singer!
Thanks! Appreciate the time-saver.
Thanks for commenting!
digging it
Omgggg slayyyyyyyyy
Sorry to hear you got laid off man. Been following your jazz journey because we're kind of on the same path and situation so looking forward to more of the huge progress you'll make from this opportunity :)
Thanks for the comment! While it sucks to lose your job, it’s an opportunity to take a step back and re-evaluate your goals. Its not so bad after all.
🙌🙌
So sensual
I care deeply for this Whisper!
How is the Midi connection with this controller, is it stable and real tight w/o lagging and latency?
No delay at all!
Wicked 👊🏼
