How good are shooting X-Factors actually? EASHL/HUT
Have you ever wondered just how strong Close Quarters/Heatseeker/One-Tee actually are? Well, here's your answer.
Also, one thing I forgot that I think is worth mentioning quickly is that One-Tee will give your character these weird speed boost animations to try and one-time bad passes, which is kinda nice.

    Puck on a string works imo harder to poke check on a puck on string puck handling gets better though i have no evidence like that to back it up lol

    For ankle breaker hustle and then do a deke in both scenarios. For puck on a string try moving the right stick left and right fast and compare. But you must be striding or stopped not hustling for this one.

      @NitroXIIIGaming 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With Puck on a String I did try moving the puck back and forth (full extension from backhand to forehand and vice versa) and couldn't find a difference, took the same amount of frames and just didn't bother including it in the video. Ankle Breaker I'm retesting, I should have done full speed just to be sure because that IS what the description says, but if it requires full speed then why is the icon showing as active? At the very least that should be considered a bug if it's not technically active but showing as active on the icon in-game. Regardless I'm testing it and will probably post another short if I find anything of note.

    Just a quick update, I'll add more confirmations as I can, but I can at least confirm that the Gold PoaS build's Toe Drags are the exact same speed in an actual online Drop-in as these free skate videos. I'll get some more actual online testing in tomorrow during some actual club games.

      It's a good base understanding for any future games as well. At least we have a better idea of what the developers are up to. Very impressed with your process. Ive done similar work in creating players from Eashl based on their statistical information.

    So ankle breaker is meant to be used at high speeds. Last year even if you had 99 deke, you'd still lose a windmill if you were going full speed. I haven't tested this year bc I find many traits more useful. As for puck on a string, the toe drag might be the one exception where it's slow. Need more in depth analysis

    • @NitroXIIIGaming
      @NitroXIIIGaming 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I do see that it says "at full speed" for Ankle Breaker, so it's one I wanted to do more tesing on, but I don't think I noticed a difference using it casually with any of the dekes, even the forehand > behind the back > one handed pull forward move. But for Puck on a String I tested Toe Drags and just the most basic movement of deking fully extended from the backhand to forehand and vice versa and saw no difference in any of the animations I tested. I do want to do a bit more testing on it too to see if there's something like chaining dekes together that's quicker, but it didn't feel like it was any different.

  • @NitroXIIIGaming
    @NitroXIIIGaming 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Just wanted to pin a quick comment, it seems like Puck on a String might be bugged and doesn't actually do anything. So if you wanted to use that lanky Power Forward build, you can just replace Puck on a String with Close Quarters or Make it Snappy (drop a couple Balance for Wrist Shot Accuracy) or maybe Tape to Tape. I've only been able to test Puck on a String on offline modes so far, I'll update this again if I find that it actually works once you're in an actual online game (will try to get actual animation frames/data).

    What’s your skating style shot style

    • @NitroXIIIGaming
      @NitroXIIIGaming 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My Skating style is all over the place, I don't think I really put much thought into it and just didn't want it to look goofy. The only thing I thought had a chance of being MAYBE important was setting One Handed Stick Height to zero to try and keep the blade on the ice. Everything else just seemed like personal preference, though I know there are some people who swear by a weird style that's like, 99 on almost everything, I tried it and I didn't like how it made my character look and it threw me off. My numbers are mostly somewhere near the middle of the sliders. For Shot Style, I'm using Shot Style 1 and One Timer Style 18, this is another thing that I don't think really makes a difference personally.

    this was extremely helpful man, dunno why u have such little builds. any tips for me and buddies for winning in clubs? and how do i convince them to use these builds one has max shooting and shoots everything(low quality shots) and a bud who’s 6’7 and has like +4 deking and never dekes

    • @NitroXIIIGaming
      @NitroXIIIGaming 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The reason most of the builds are small is just that for 3s specifically, speed is generally very important to be able to take advantage of turnovers/quick breakouts. There's less people on the ice and having high speed is really important to generate odd-man chances and help break up odd-man rushes on the backcheck. That's not to say it's the only way to play, I do know one thing some good players swear by is making their Sniper/Danglers/Playmakers the maximum height and sacrifice one or two points of speed to be able to keep the puck out of the reach of the smaller players. Anything around 90 speed or higher is generally usable in 3s, anything below that is much too slow unless you see the other team has a bunch of slow players. The key is to find what you guys are individually good at/how you normally play, and put a small focus on that for your build, while making sure your build isn't a total one trick pony like an Enforcer. If that one guy uses a +4 on deking and rarely dekes, throw it on speed or acceleration or something else that everyone uses like passing (though, sometimes you do run into people who maybe don't seem to realize passing is an option, like your sniper friend sounds like). A big thing I notice with a lot of players who struggle with club is that a lot of players don't have any patience with the puck, and don't trust their teammates to make good decisions and would rather try to do something themselves when they get the puck. Just because your teammate isn't in a scoring position doesn't mean you can't pass to them when they are open and give them a chance to figure out how to use that space they have. Depending on how the defenders react to the pass maybe they'll be able to skate into a scoring position, maybe the pass got you open and they can pass it back for you to take a shot etc. etc. You need to be willing to play without the puck and move around and trust your teammates to try to get open. Don't be afraid to just talk with your buddies about plays you want to try or point out that you're constantly open when your buddy is shooting it into 3 defenders. And if you run into a team that whoops your ass, record the gameplay, look at how they scored and moved the puck. Maybe they used a shot over and over again that kept going in, learn to defend it, learn to use it yourself when it's open. Are they spreading out and making quick passes, are you chasing them to the boards just for them to spin off your check and skate uncontested to the net. Try to learn from your losses objectively after the fact.

    I agree with you pretty much everything you said. Elite edges, truculence, shutdown, no contest, unstoppable force, close quarters, heatseeker, make it snappy and tape to tape. Those abilities are the best in the game, with a few honorable mentions one could add as well. To be competitive you should probably have at least 2 of those abilities in your build and one of them should FOR SURE be your gold ability.

All the sweats think they’re really nice with it but got all these targets and zones showing them where to go and what to do lmao. You’re automatically disqualified from being anywhere near the top. Don’t cap and say it’s just free skate bcuz they use the same setting as in game 😮‍💨. If you’ve played this game for over 3 years the honorable thing to do is turn all that shit off when you start the game for the first time.

    Would these work for 6s? Cheers!

    • @NitroXIIIGaming
      @NitroXIIIGaming 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the Puck Moving Defensemen and Playmaker would work well with some small changes. I'd probably increase their weight to 77KG or 170 pounds, drop the Speed down to 92 or 93 and drop the agility down to 87/88 and put the extra points you get in balance, I don't think most people can make a tiny speedy build work in 6s, there's not enough room most of the time for 95 speed to be worth it, and with those changes you should be able to get something like 78-80 balance, which is somewhat reasonable. The Power Forward could also work, for it I would suggest trying Unstoppable Force instead of Truculence if you like to hold on to the puck, shrug off contact etc. and maybe instead of Puck on a String trying something like Shutdown and taking a few points off of Body Checking and adding them to Stick Checking. You could also lower his height down to 188cm/6 foot 2 to get 1 more speed/agility/acceleration. Could also try Truculence + Close Quarters + Elite Edges if you drop his height down and sacrifice one agility and one balance and put it into Wrist Shot Accuracy, but you have to be smart with Truculence in 6s or you'll end up taking charging/boarding penalties.

      @@NitroXIIIGamingI run a similar 6’6 power forward with big tipper and unstoppable force and it’s absolutely obscene in 6s

    • @aaronpaugh7222
      @aaronpaugh7222 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I play center, for 6s I will go back and forth between a TWF, PLY, and PWF. The PWF I typically run unstoppable force, close quarters and elite edges. I tend to abandon points in stick checking and defensive awareness to get more body checking to compensate for the lack of truculence, but that's a subjective choice I think. You could go for more sticking check and defense awareness if you're not a physical guy.
