Reaction to the Witcher Netflix Season 3 Trailer and Season Predictions
In this video I react to the Witcher Netflix season 3's trailer and give my thoughts on it. I also walk through the clips that the Witcher Netflix have released as well as the episode titles. I discuss my predictions for the upcoming season 3 of the show using my knowledge of the books and the games.
I would also encourage you to let me know your thoughts in a kind and respectful manner. If you somehow are a fan of the show and wish to let me know your thoughts don't be disrespectful towards my opinion, my opinion on the matter is very similar to that of the overwhelming majority of people who have read the Witcher books. I'd even wager anyone who disagrees with what I've said here probably hasn't read the books but if you have read the books and do disagree, do reach out as that is a conversation I would be interested in having.
Putting that aside thank you to anyone who watches this video and shows any support, it is very much appreciated. This video is coming out far later than I wanted (the day before the first 5 episodes of the season are released) so hopefully this video ages well. Thank you for watching and tune in for more soon.

A Guide to All Vampires in The Witcher Series - Witcher Lore
มุมมอง 4.5Kปีที่แล้ว
In this video I give a brief guide about all of the vampires found in the Witcher series. I used the Witcher books and the Witcher games, in particular the Witcher 3 and the Blood and Wine DLC. Hopefully you find this video in formative, weather that is helping you learn about a new vampire in the Witcher series or weather that's helping you understand overall concepts when it comes to vampires...

Monsters that a Witcher would refuse a contract on
Geralt is more powerful in the games for multiple reasons. This is a Geralt who is older, more experienced, more capable with signs, in possession of enchanted items, and a meriad of other upgrades you receive throughout the games. It isn't really crazy to separate book and game Geralt. I would also say that game Geralt's feats generally shouldn't be used to scale book geralt.
Freedom trumps everything and djikstra gives the north the absolute most out of the 4 possible rulers
Trolls are like rhinos, they’re usually harmless unless when provoked.
I free the Spirit but I did it before I go to the Crones. So I saved both the childrens and the Beron's wife.😊
Ciri
Geralt would kill a troll because it is mentioned in one of rhe books that he offered his services to kill one only to be declined by the local lord because the troll was useful.
Get to the point
I even remember a sentence Geralt said about higher vampires. He said, he never heard about anyone nor any way of killing a higher vampire. So no, Geralt would not be able to beat any, not even with his silver sword.
I didn't complete this quest. I was saving it for later and after battle preparation the quest automatically failed 😂😂
the problem with gaunter o dimm is that we dont know the limits of his abilities. There are plenty of characters that have these all powerful abilities but they only work under certain circumstances or conditions. Take bill cipher from gravity falls for example. This character time and time again has been shown to be able to do wild things but cant beat kids because they used a tool on him despite all of his time manipulation powers. Point is he cant just manipulate time willy nilly and thats likely the case with gaunter o dimm. Actually gaunter o dimm is pretty limited in his capabilities because he couldn't even tell geralt where she was.
You look like a 46-year-old dream.

In The Edge of the World (from the first Witcher book) Geralt doesn’t kill a sylvan because of it being intelligent
Where is the queen???
Geralt isn't the most powerful person in that universe, he isn't even close...what he IS, is the most powerful Witcher that's ever existed because he is the only one who's ever survived the extra mutations, so his strength, speed, quickness, stamina, etc are all far above regular Witchers who themselves are already FAR beyond regular humans. But in that universe the most powerful beings are probably the actual God's, then Gaunter O'Dimm, then the mages. The male and female sorcerors are insanely powerful, capable of taking down a lot of monsters Geralt could take down with a sword with spells. The reason they dont is 1. They are generally responsible for many of the monsters existing in the first place (monsters that were the results of their experiments and not the conjunction). 2. Many of those same monsters are resistant to magic meaning their spells could be rendered useless, but makes are capable of using spells to fortify themselves to increase their own speed, physical prowess, and power (like Vilgefortz did (the spells weren't spoken aloud but since mages are in their general state just humans with more resistances he would have needed to boost himself to keep up with someone so fast the human eye can barely notice it) in his fights with Geralt when he actually moved faster than Geralt). So if we are talking strictly the human type characters the mages are the top of the power ladder (i include elves because they are basically just humans as well with few differences). Geralt would refuse a contract on every ACTUAL higher vampire, as he state's in the books to Regis asking him how much someone would have to pay him to take on a contract on himself "I doubt anyone could afford it" showing that he'd never do it. Because theres no way to win against a true higher vampire, I mean he COULD disable it for hundreds of years but Geralt lacks the ability to kill one for good because as is stated in B&W, only a higher vampire can kill another one. Otherwise they will eventually regenerate. So cross off all of those. Also there's some creatures that are simply too large for a Witcher to deal with. Which is a large part of the reason they don't take contracts on sea monsters as a general rule. Geralt had that nasty run in with the fish people on the steps at the fangs, but outside of that he's stuck to fresh water beasts. And even some of those are too powerful for him to do anything against. Basically he'd refuse a contract on anything he wasnt positive he stood at least a chance of winning against. And size plays into that.
The djinn are another set of monsters I forgot to mention in the power rankings, but considering that they have nearly infinite power of their type, they'd be amongst the most powerful beings. Probably just below the God's themselves and maybe Gaunter O'Dimm is likely a deity of some sort himself.
Yeah this is just a video full of stuff that's either obvious or things that Geralt has already beaten and you are just saying "Nuh uh" because you think he shouldn't have.
I just want to say if u take game lore u should take netflix lore too 😅
Geralt takes on spirits all the time with a sword… I agree that killing a djinn is probably beyond a witcher, even with a sorcerer helping, but weakening and compelling one especially with careful preparation doesn’t seem beyond the pale.
There's no way Geralt would've been able to beat a higher vampire without Regis. The Unseen Elder kills Geralt with no effort whatsoever if you ask too many questions. Geralt would've been killed by Dettlaff many times if not for Regis. Although it's still unclear whether Oriana is a higher vampire or just a really powerful bruxa and Geralt did beat her.
Slow down with your speech bro dang
Ooooh my god just shut up and get into the subject it’s been already a full minute
the real question is geralt vs goku. go
Sentient is the wrong word here. Most animals are sentient and all the trolls will be sentient. Sapient or sophont are more accurate for what you’re trying to explain.
This just reminds me of how much beautiful potential Season1 of the Neflix series had. Not to be canon, but to be a really nice homage to the main story and exploration of the theme "what makes a monster?". Goddamn shame. Whyd they decide they wanted to be Game of Thrones? 🤷
Your opinion
Well, yeah. He's not the author-he's just a fan offering his opinion. What's wrong with that?
The way I understood it is that witchers don't usually try to hunt dragons, because they are from before the conjunction. So they belong in that world.
It's a stretch but to try to justify Regis getting stuck Yes Regis shouldn't normally be stopped by a piece of masonry, only for game narrative perspective But Regis did say that he was a shadow of his former self, and still recovering from his ressurection, and he also had endured some taxing trial earlier in B&W so maybe given he's weaken state it could make sense ?
i just finished the last wish, its such a great book, im super excited to read the entire series
Donf know if someone answered this already but could Regis have been considered dead at the end of the book series? He was pretty much melted by the sorcerer antagonist(the name escapes me at the moment)
Well who cares if she is a bi?
Certainly my euphoria build can beat them all lol
Great video. I don't think though that Regis could not get up because of the rocks. I think he got knocked out by Dettlaff.
Why Gaunter chose to look like such a yuckmouth smarmy fuck is beyond me
Geralt killed an extremely powerful higher vampire without potions in the books, didn't he? If anything, as far as I know, in the books he tends to severely limit himself by shunning magic (such as rarely using signs and never practicing them and never expanding his understanding of the magic they're based on) and barely ever using any elixirs to enhance himself. Not sure why Andrzej included signs and elixirs at all, really. I get the feeling he didn't really want them originally, but used them to shortcut some story elements to smooth out events (like using Axii to get an audience with the king in the beginning instead of writing out the story of him getting an audience, so, lazy writing), regretted it later, basically threw them out, but it was too late to remove them entirely from the setting.
Teamwork makes the dream work. There's a reason witchers are also highly trained in fighting together as a pack. It makes sense in the context of the setting's history that there are some monsters (probably as individuals rather than species) that a witcher cannot defeat single-handed. At least not without a lot of extensive preparation, probably some rituals, some specialists helping out with various aspects, etc. (since in the setting, the fact _anything_ can be beaten is pretty important). Because originally, witchers were produced in very large numbers to combat monsters. Which means for anything particularly powerful, they could simply gang up on the thing and kill it or at least tank and spank teamwork with a bunch of sorcerers on it. If anything, considering such monsters are incredibly rare to the point of basically being myth, it's safe to say that early witchers probably prioritized taking such monsters down first before the grind against the hordes of lesser monsters could eat at the witchers' numbers.
I remember geralt shitting bricks when he encounters a bruxa in the last wish book😭
higher vampire can't be killed anyway, only another higher vampire can kill another higher vampire, could he beat one in a fight ? maybe could he kill one ? nope
Gaunter o dimm is the most intriguing to me. Dude came walking out of the sky to claim olgeirds soul. That’s some hardcore shit.
Geralt wins easily. Remember, even compared to knights, swordsman and most importantly other witchers he was considered one of the best swordsman.
Geralt isn't the strongest witcher nor the most attuned with magic. But he seeks outside learning. Training with different fencing masters to improve his sword skills further than what vesemir gave him. I'd argue that while not the most powerful character in the witcher series he's one of the most skilled with a sword. Especially in comparison with other witchers. Eskel is even stated to better at using signs than Geralt too. Though I forget where this is stated
Would like to see how Geralt would even hurt a dragon like Balerion
I know from the books witchers dont hunt dragons, despite the witchee 2 game having a dragon prevelent to the story from what i now, and know that i think about it he did technically join the hunt for a dragon in the same book. The one with the golden dragon that takes a human form.
Luckily for me in my head I play as a witcher of the viper school..dam id end something just for looking at me the wrong way ....
I´m confused doesn´t Gerald kill an higher vampire by him self in the base game, in the quest where Priscilla is attacked?
What about Arya?
I saw one video where the guy was flipping out about how they were "making it woke" by making her have a relationship with a woman. And that they had no respect for the books. And I was like "uuuuuhhhhhh, clearly you did not read them." lol
A lot of "i think" and "i dont think" and "I suspect" in this video😅 credibility to argument -1 000 000😂 so ultimately its not facts its just your bs opinions lol😂😂😂😂 even your arguements arnt plausible 😂😂😂
Of course it's his opinion dude... He's not the author. He's just a fan. You don't have to believe him or listen to him.
in a fight:Dragonborn in terms of writing:Geralt(you really cant disagree tbh)
5:33 Games are embellishments of his tale.
Higher vampires. Literally. Impossible.
