I’m not a therapist but I would start with-what does it mean that you’re a taker, and why do you think you are that way? I think self-awareness is the first step. Your wife also has to learn to state her needs, but you can help her a lot by validating her whenever she states a need and being SUPER empathetic and willing to make compromises with her. I know for me it’s hard to ask for help if it’s met with ANY resistance. My brain goes “okay I’ll just do it myself then”, and the resentment builds.
I don't want a long life partner. The last one destroyed my. Life 25 years later my life is still shit Thanks to that arsehole. All women are crap.

We'd be more than happy to hear your story, if you're open to sharing. You're not alone. Copy + paste this URL into your browser, and let's hear it. Life doesn't have to be a mess, and feeling like it is all the time can make us feel like there's no way out. But, you're not alone and you'd be surprised to hear what's possible if you're open-hearted and open minded to someone hearing your story. It might be a mess now, but it doesn't have to stay a mess. So sad that's been your experience. We hope that in time, you're able to see an alternative way and that loneliness doesn't become chronic for you. We're always here to support you in that journey, when you're ready.
Interesting, this topic.
We're glad you found it interesting. Thanks for sharing & engaging with us.
I used to want a family, ill never get married and I'm glad I never had children with any of the women I've dated. American culture is extremely toxic and I couldn't just accept my child being around the next red flag ridden neck tat garbage his mother chose to reel in. I lost a lot of respect I once had for buddies that went on to get married. The main protection I have as a man is to project a coldness and indifference to the rest of the world. At 38 years old I finally understand why men tell boys to stop crying. They know exactly what tears get you, disrespect and betrayal. I don't believe anything women tell me. Women give men the worst advice about women.
You're not wrong about American culture, however you are painting a huge population with a very wide brush. I finally got married at 42, only a month ago. We both have kids from previous experiences. Mine are 15 and 16, hers 3 and 5. Life sometimes has other plans. I never thought one of my kids would ever ask to live with me after so long. I never thought I'd meet someone with aligned values and boundaries and vision. I never thought I'd parent someone else's kids. I never thought someone would love me as she does. Life can change, don't close the door on everything even at 38. You're too young for that.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and personal experience on this episode's topic and how it brought something up in you. We hope that one day, you're able to have a positive experience related to the pain, coldness, and indifference to the rest of the world. We can only imagine how hard that must be.
We're grateful for this positivity in response to the reaction of this topic, and to fellow TH-camrs. It is quite incredible to see how much things can shift, if you remain open-minded and open-hearted to the positives aspects which can come with them. Celebrating you & your family's happiness!
Men cheat bc when they are in a relationship, most women change and do not fulfill their mens needs. Also alot of women hold it against the man or do not take their needs and wants serious.
There are so many reasons, and it's been incredible to hear from the community what one's experience can be while also seeing contrast/similarities with others. Thanks for sharing yours.
I'll just keep on believing that people's kindness is genuine. If I find out it's not they're gonna get called out. If u got a problem, say it, if you choose to not say it, just be neutral with me. I honestly rather people not like me and be cold towards be than have someone not like me and be nice. That way at least I know what the heck is going on.
Honesty is always the best path forward, it’s unfortunate that many struggle with expressing their truth.
Why I do drugs😂😂
We hope you stay safe!
very suggestive of mental health
We're glad you're picking up what is an obvious truth! Cheers to you!

Good for you @Kyle-y7v we're celebrating you and all of the people who pulled together to help teach you, or contribute towards the skillsets you'd learned overtime to be able to do such for yourself. Celebrating you and hoping you can share your insights with others!

I would like to repeat some advice from a cross trainer I have seen: Don't be afraid to fail. Failures mean there is room for improvement, on both sides of the street. Not only should we be willing to admit when we have messed up or said hurtful things to each other, we also have to be ready and willing to forgive each other from the heart. AND, once we forgive, the matter is Closed! It is not to be dredged up and weaponized by the party that was wronged.
This means that 99% of men should reevaluate and discontinue their relationships.
We appreciate how you shared with us what this message meant for you. What part of that stuck out to you in this message that related to your experience?
This is not the way, a relationship is the biggest struggle in life from both sides, this creates easy brakeups, I belive that if you do not evaluate and go threw the struggle, you will never have a stabile and active relationship. No relationship is made to last, you make it last!! I understand that this can be a fight in life and if it comes to the end of all resources yes drop it, but until you used all your brain to try and fix it please hold on because in our generations it is very normal to just skip slides and one of those slides might be your human :)
Thank you for sharing this heart felt comment with us. We hear your message come through in a heartfelt way. We know about the scientifically-proven statistics with this topic might help highlight why challenges in relationships come up in the first place. Shine bright!
@teresanavarro1168 thank you for subscribing
You can live your truth but you can't cry when someone conflicts with your truth. Respect isn't a human right, it's a privilege that needs to be earned
💩💩💩
Rheyd mainly just let me talk. My last therapist got mad at me for not really addressing anything serious instead of asking me why I think I do that she told me to either start or stop going to therapy. My whole life I had to disassociate, anytime someone asked what was wrong I *couldn't* tell them and that's the hardest thing to convey to a therapist. Plus I did a lot of rationalization on my feelings instead of actually allowing myself to feel them so my therapist didn't really understand why I was there. It was super frustrating that no one could help me unstuck myself you know
It’s not okay that your therapy experience provided so much uncertainty and kept you feeling stuck in your patterns of feeling like you can’t talk about your truth. We are so sorry, and we have resources available if you’re still looking for someone to talk to ♥️
Love this❤
Thank you for making this video on putting others before ourselves. What advice would you give altruistic people? I’m impressed, I liked this video and you've got yourself a new subscriber!
Such a great question! For the altruistic, where are you not being vulnerable with yourself, meaning are you betraying your own boundaries to help others? Where do you need to be vulnerable with yourself in giving YOURSELF more of what you need and understanding why you're doing the things you need to do.
Girl what is the point of showing an 8 second clip that explains nothing
Hey you! Thanks for sharing that you struggled to connect to the point of this 8s clip - that people struggle regardless of what their social media reels look as if nothing's wrong which doesn't help the struggle. This will help our media team include a bit more context for viewers like you - thank you! It might be helpful to tune into the episode for a little more context. Here's the link for that: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/271-motivation-monday-how-the-people-around-you/id1511831621?i=1000645837782 We hope you have a beautiful day. 💗
Take it from someone who is older and alone ...it sucks and the older you get the harder it is
Being alone, and FEELING alone and like it isn't going to change can be one of the most devastating experiences. You may be physically alone, but there are people out there who care, like us at Evolve Ventures. You can do it.
