@@ivanasvlog I know I will! I started crocheting around 8 months ago & I don’t have any friends or family members that do so I love that there are so many fun girls on TH-cam to watch. I find you to be the funniest and most self aware/realistic which is really refreshing. Excited to see more in the future!
One of the things I learnt quite early on was that I love freehanding or designing my own patterns. I also learnt that acrylic yarn wasn't for me and that chenille felt so much better to work with in the end. Also fluffy yarn is definitely not for me the stitches are invisible and holes are plentiful (My first Freehanded pattern was made with that).
I know what you mean about acrylic, not a fan of it either! but chenille is so wonderful, so soft and nice to the touch 😍 freehanding sounds interesting, I have to try it one of these days ☺
Ahh poop, I got super excited seeing the Ramie dress but its a drafted pattern 🥴 Im not quite ready for that yet! But one to come back to!
I always save aspirational projects to keep me motivated, even though there's no way I could complete them any time soon lol 🙈

Thanks for the video! As for buttons bursting open… over time button holes loosen so reinforcing the end of a button hole with one or two tiny stiches really helps! Also I like to add snaps to the inside of the button placket (sp?) between the two buttons over my bust to help fix the gape and take up some of the strain. ❤
thank you for the tip! 😍 it makes so much sense now that you've said it, but it never would've crossed my mind to reinforce the button holes! and snaps sound like a much more elegant solution than safety pins (lol 🙈), thank you! ❤
@@ivanasvlog of course! You’re welcome. I used to be able to get away with anything when I had a smaller chest but after nursing babies I had to learn how to keep an elegant button up buttoned! 😂

Great choices. Next time, can you please leave the images for the patterns on the screen a little longer. I'm trying to freeze frame the first one and it flashes on and off so fast that TH-cam won't let me pause at it.

I've realized that for me it's much better to start with something I really enjoy because the beginning is gonna be hard either way, so the more invested I am, the more likely I'm to push through and stick with it. Thanks so much <3

I made that Pennywise amigurumi back in 2022 as one of my first crochet projects 😂 The review with Penny leaning on the two pumpkins is mine. That was way back before I knew there was an X single crochet and a V single crochet. But a fun pattern to do and I was crocheting only for a few weeks so I can say it is beginner friendly.
That's so awesome! I also think that best patterns for beginners are those they really love, no matter the difficulty level, because it's going to be challenging either way, so might as well make something you're really excited about ☺ I tried making a bookmark as one of my first projects but abandoned it because I found it boring

I have the same problem with the eastern dragon, but I think you can't go wrong. I made a cute critter dragon in blues that I thought I didn't like but once he was done I loved him 😍just pick a color you like and he'll be great
How did it go? Were you able to get that streamline hook? I have two Furl's hooks and I love them, but to be honest, for amigurumi I always reach for my Clover Amour hooks. Furls are actually quite heavy and can tire out your hands if you're not used to them. I use mine mostly for stuff other than amiigurumi.
it went well (I have a video), but I definitely had too few affordable items, so I've been adding smaller stuff with each market. I got furls streamline metal and I'm in love 😍😍😍 I love that hook, it's so comfortable, feels like a completely different crochet experience. I was looking into clover amour as well, but concluded that chunkier shaft was the way to go for me.

It's refreshing to have a crochet content creator who speaks such wonderful English, but doesn't follow the same beaten track as many content creators, and has such original contentWhat wonderfully original patterns! It's so surprising that the patterns are free. They look like they required so much hard work and in addition the pattern writing must have been a laborious process. Keep up tyour hard work
