It is remarkable not only because of its size, but also the diversity of forms woven throughout...

    The larger kinds of animals did not survive the Flood. Usually the smaller kind are represented as they were taken alive through the Flood. In time these kinds speciated out to the species we see today.

    Where did my comment go? For a better example see Visual Thinking Strategies: Terra Foundation for American Art. Philip Yenawine, the man who, literally, wrote the book does a VTS of a painting and then explains what he did and why. Please don't remove my comment. It is important that people facilitate correctly.

    "Native Americans" were used to sign so-called "Peace" (surrendering, white-flag) Treaties on the behalf of ALL "Afro-Indigenous" people, who were in TOTAL disagreement with the white man's policies pertaining to lands of their ancestors.

  • @ajoycethompson9425
    @ajoycethompson9425 ปีที่แล้ว

    "Hiring-out" was another way of controlling the enslaved "Afro-Indigenous" people, preventing them from running away and, stopping their free movement on lands stolen from their ancestors.

  • @ajoycethompson9425
    @ajoycethompson9425 ปีที่แล้ว

    People from "Africa" and enslaved did NOT have "American" citizenship. Therefore, enslaved people from Africa could NOT have been called "African American."

    What an interesting display. You hear about these oddities from tornados. Brilliant that some one in 1925 thought to save these incidents. I have a section of an elm that was blown down in the 1938 hurricane in front of my neighbors house . It was in his cellar and when he passed away his daughter gave it to me. It has no implements would be more interesting if it did. The neighbor who saved it wanted his descendants to burn it on the 100th anniversary. Well his children never had kids so if I make it I will or I'll leave to my kids to fulfill Robert's wish.

    Just tell the story like it was, don't add no fluff to it to try and make it seem like White really cared for what was in our best interest. the rape was used as a false pretext, like countless other race riots, to destroy the black community behind jealousy, socioeconomic purposes. talk about how well Blacks protected themselves, which played a major role in the local officials complicit with the government of the u.s, to cover up the race riot. A lot of people don't understand why springfield il served as a catalyst to the inception of the Naacp. its so much history within this historical cover up

    What does it say about human nature how many people involved were either complicit in or willfully ignorant of the harms done to these women (even physicians!) . One wonders if the same sort of thing happened today with some new dangerous phenomenon whether the response would be any better.

    Thank you for this excellent discussion. Mary Todd Lincoln is history’s most misunderstood first lady. She experienced more than her share of tragedy during her lifetime 😢. It breaks my heart to know how poorly she was treated while in the White House and after Lincoln's assassination. I am glad that you are helping change people's opinion of her. Also, thank you for the book recommendations.
